    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.45, No.3, pp. 2537-2551, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.032038

Abstract The introduction of several small and large-scale industries, malls, shopping complexes, and domestic applications has significantly increased energy consumption. The aim of the work is to simulate a technically viable and economically optimum hybrid power system for residential buildings. The proposed micro-grid model includes four power generators: solar power, wind power, Electricity Board (EB) source, and a Diesel Generator (DG) set, with solar and wind power performing as major sources and the EB supply and DG set serving as backup sources. The core issue in direct current to alternate current conversion is harmonics distortion, a five-stage multilevel inverter is employed… More >

    Fangwei Zhang1,2,*, Shihe Xu3, Bing Han4, Liming Zhang2, Jun Ye5

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.134, No.3, pp. 2211-2226, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2022.022418

Abstract In optimization theory, the adaptive control of the optimization process is an important goal that people pursue. To solve this problem, this study introduces the idea of neutrosophic decision-making into classical heuristic algorithm, and proposes a novel neutrosophic adaptive clustering optimization thought, which is applied in a novel neutrosophic genetic algorithm (NGA), for example. The main feature of NGA is that the NGA treats the crossover effect as a neutrosophic fuzzy set, the variation ratio as a structural parameter, the crossover effect as a benefit parameter and the variation effect as a cost parameter, and then a neutrosophic fitness function… More >

Improved Electro Search Algorithm with Intelligent Controller Control System: ESPID Algorithm

Inayet Hakki Cizmeci1,*, Adem Alpaslan Altun2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.35, No.3, pp. 2555-2572, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.028851

Abstract Studies have established that hybrid models outperform single models. The particle swarm algorithm (PSO)-based PID (proportional-integral-derivative) controller control system is used in this study to determine the parameters that directly impact the speed and performance of the Electro Search (ESO) algorithm to obtain the global optimum point. ESPID algorithm was created by integrating this system with the ESO algorithm. The improved ESPID algorithm has been applied to 7 multi-modal benchmark test functions. The acquired results were compared to those derived using the ESO, PSO, Atom Search Optimization (ASO), and Vector Space Model (VSM) algorithms. As a consequence, it was determined… More >

    Xi Wang*, Guangping Zeng

    FDMP-Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing, Vol.18, No.3, pp. 563-576, 2022, DOI:10.32604/fdmp.2022.017884

Abstract An efficient and versatile intelligent algorithm is developed for the control of the cabin environment of wind power generators. The method can be used to monitor and solve wind power generation problems at the same time. It also provides several advantages with respect to other traditional methods which imply significant workload and maintenance personnel. The functional requirements of the intelligent control system are analyzed, and a control algorithm for the stepping motor is selected and evaluated. Through the comparative analysis of the active power and internal temperature curve for three kinds of output power of the prototype, it is proved… More >

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.33, No.1, pp. 173-189, 2022, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2022.023922

Abstract This paper presents development and analysis of different control strategies for smart automated system. The dynamic role of an electrical motor and sensor interfacing with wireless module becomes an essential element in a smart agriculture system to monitor various environmental parameters. The various key parameters such as temperature, humidity, air pressure, soil health and solar radiation are widely used to analyze the growth of plants and soil health based on different climate conditions. However, the smart development of an automatic system to measure these vital parameters provides a feasible approach and helps the farmers to monitor their crops productivity. In… More >

Integrated Renewable Smart Grid System Using Fuzzy Based Intelligent Controller

    V. Vijayal1,*, K. Krishnamoorthi2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.33, No.1, pp. 651-667, 2022, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2022.023890

Abstract In high power medium voltage applications, the utilization of 5-H Bridge Multi-Level Inverter (MLI) has grown vastly in recent years. The 5-H Bridge MLI can effectively control link voltage as well as power factor. However, the inverter imparts harmonics owing to the high switching frequency. Hence Inductance Capacitance Inductance (LCL) filter is implemented at its output to mitigate harmonics in presence of non-linear load. It’s of highly important to choose LCL parameters wisely in order to attain good filtering effect. This work investigates the application of 5-H Bridge MLI with LCL filter at the output for efficient integration of renewable… More >

    Lei Zhang1, Yinlong Yuan1,*, Yihe Sun2, Yun Cheng1, Dian Wu1, Lei Ren1

    Energy Engineering, Vol.119, No.1, pp. 387-405, 2022, DOI:10.32604/EE.2022.017463

Abstract With the aggravation of energy problems, the development and utilization of new energy has become the focus of all countries. As an effective new energy, the fuel cell has attracted the attention of scholars. However, due to the particularity of proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC), the performance of traditional PI controlled phase-shifted full-bridge power electronics DC-DC converter cannot meet the needs of practical application. In order to further improve the dynamic performance of the converter, this paper first introduces several main topologies of the current mainstream front-end DC-DC converter, and analyzes their performance in the fuel cell system. Then,… More >

Intelligent Control for Integrated Guidance and Control Based on the Intelligent Characteristic Model

    Jun Zhou, Zhenzhen Ge

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.24, No.3, pp. 623-631, 2018, DOI:10.31209/2018.100000029

Abstract In this paper, an adaptive integrated guidance and control (IGC) scheme for the homing missile is proposed based on the novel continuous characteristic model and the dynamic surface control technique. The novel continuous characteristic model is first proposed in the presence of unknown model coefficients and uncertainties. Then, the dynamic surface control technique is applied to the continuous characteristic model. The proposed IGC scheme guarantees the line-of-sight angular rates converge to an arbitrarily small neighbourhood of zero and all the closed-loop signals to be semi-globally uniformly ultimately bounded, which is proven using the Lyapunov stability theory. Finally, the effectiveness of… More >

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.25, No.3, pp. 441-449, 2019, DOI:10.31209/2018.11006161

Abstract Ultrasonic cleaners are devices that perform ultrasonic cleaning by using ultrasonic converters. Ultrasonic cleaners have been employed to clean dirty and rusty materials such as optic, jewelers, automotive and dental prosthesis sectors. Due to non-identified correctly cleaning time, cavitation erosion has been occurred at some materials, which desire for cleaning. In this study, an intelligent cleaning device that runs autonomously identified cleaning time, saves energy, and makes the cleaning process safely has been designed and implemented. An ultrasonic cleaning time has been adjusted automatically by monitoring of turbidity and conductivity values of liquid that is put in to the cleaning… More >
