    V. Krishnakumar*, R. Asokan

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.45, No.1, pp. 985-1000, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.029189

Abstract Wireless sensor Mobile ad hoc networks have excellent potential in moving and monitoring disaster area networks on real-time basis. The recent challenges faced in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs) include scalability, localization, heterogeneous network, self-organization, and self-sufficient operation. In this background, the current study focuses on specially-designed communication link establishment for high connection stability of wireless mobile sensor networks, especially in disaster area network. Existing protocols focus on location-dependent communications and use networks based on typically-used Internet Protocol (IP) architecture. However, IP-based communications have a few limitations such as inefficient bandwidth utilization, high processing, less transfer speeds, and excessive memory… More >

Abstract Identification of quantitative trait loci (QTLs) controlling yield and yield-related traits in rice was performed in the F2 mapping population derived from parental rice genotypes DHMAS and K343. A total of 30 QTLs governing nine different traits were identified using the composite interval mapping (CIM) method. Four QTLs were mapped for number of tillers per plant on chromosomes 1 (2 QTLs), 2 and 3; three QTLs for panicle number per plant on chromosomes 1 (2 QTLs) and 3; four QTLs for plant height on chromosomes 2, 4, 5 and 6; one QTL for spikelet density on chromosome 5; four QTLs… More >

Jianhua Luo, Yuhang Zhou*, Hua Li, Xi Chen, Xigong Xia

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.73, No.2, pp. 2473-2484, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.029640

Abstract Combined with equipment activities such as combat readiness, training, exercises and management, it is proposed that the design of equipment in-service assessment subjects should follow the principles of combination, stage and operability. Focusing on the design of equipment in-service assessment subjects, a design method for in-service assessment subjects based on the combination of trial and training mode is proposed. Based on the actual use of high-equipment use management and training and the established indicator system, the army’s bottom-level equipment activity subjects and bottom-level assessments are combined. The indicators are mapped and analyzed. Through multiple rounds of iterations, the mapping relationship… More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.73, No.2, pp. 3473-3495, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.028540

Abstract In 2017, it was estimated that the number of persons of all ages visually affected would be two hundred and eighty-five million, of which thirty-nine million are blind. There are several innovative technical solutions available to facilitate the movement of these people. The next big challenge for technical people is to give cost-effective solutions. One of the challenges for people with visual impairments is navigating safely, recognizing obstacles, and moving freely between locations in unfamiliar environments. A new mobile application solution is developed, and the application can be installed in android mobile. The application will visualize the environment with portable… More >

Coverless Video Steganography Based on Frame Sequence Perceptual Distance Mapping

    Runze Li1, Jiaohua Qin1,*, Yun Tan1, Neal N. Xiong2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.73, No.1, pp. 1571-1583, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.029378

Abstract Most existing coverless video steganography algorithms use a particular video frame for information hiding. These methods do not reflect the unique sequential features of video carriers that are different from image and have poor robustness. We propose a coverless video steganography method based on frame sequence perceptual distance mapping. In this method, we introduce Learned Perceptual Image Patch Similarity (LPIPS) to quantify the similarity between consecutive video frames to obtain the sequential features of the video. Then we establish the relationship map between features and the hash sequence for information hiding. In addition, the MongoDB database is used to store… More >

A Framework of Lightweight Deep Cross-Connected Convolution Kernel Mapping Support Vector Machines

    Qi Wang1, Zhaoying Liu1, Ting Zhang1,*, Shanshan Tu1, Yujian Li2, Muhammad Waqas3

    Journal on Artificial Intelligence, Vol.4, No.1, pp. 37-48, 2022, DOI:10.32604/jai.2022.027875

Abstract Deep kernel mapping support vector machines have achieved good results in numerous tasks by mapping features from a low-dimensional space to a high-dimensional space and then using support vector machines for classification. However, the depth kernel mapping support vector machine does not take into account the connection of different dimensional spaces and increases the model parameters. To further improve the recognition capability of deep kernel mapping support vector machines while reducing the number of model parameters, this paper proposes a framework of Lightweight Deep Convolutional Cross-Connected Kernel Mapping Support Vector Machines (LC-CKMSVM). The framework consists of a feature extraction module… More >

Discrete Firefly Algorithm for Optimizing Topology Generation and Core Mapping of Network-on-Chip

    S. Parvathi*, S. Umamaheswari

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.34, No.1, pp. 15-32, 2022, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2022.025290

Abstract Network-on-chip (NoC) proves to be the best alternative to replace the traditional bus-based interconnection in Multi-Processor System on a Chip (MPSoCs). Irregular NoC topologies are highly recommended and utilised in various applications as they are application specific. Optimized mapping of the cores in a NoC plays a major role in its performance. Firefly algorithm is a bio-inspired meta-heuristic approach. Discretized firefly algorithm is used in our proposed work. In this work, two optimization algorithms are proposed: Topology Generation using Discrete Firefly Algorithm (TGDFA) and Core Mapping using Discrete Firefly Algorithm (CMDFA) for multimedia benchmark applications, Video Object Plane Decoder (VOPD),… More >

    Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany, Vol.91, No.7, pp. 1429-1443, 2022, DOI:10.32604/phyton.2022.019842

Abstract Kernel size-related traits, including kernel length, kernel width, and kernel thickness, are critical components in determining yield and kernel quality in maize (Zea mays L.). Dissecting the phenotypic characteristics of these traits, and discovering the candidate chromosomal regions for these traits, are of potential importance for maize yield and quality improvement. In this study, a total of 139 F2:3 family lines derived from EHel and B73, a distinct line with extremely low ear height (EHel), was used for phenotyping and QTL mapping of three kernel size-related traits, including 10-kernel length (KL), 10-kernel width (KWid), and 10-kernel thickness (KT). The results… More >
