    Abstract The process of segmentation of the cardiac image aims to limit the inner and outer walls of the heart to segment all or portions of the organ’s boundaries.     Abstract This research presents a thorough evaluation of the reverberation room at Acoustics Laboratory in National Institute of Standards (NIS) according to the related international standards. The evaluation aims at examining the room performance and exploring its effectiveness in the frequency range from 125 Hz to 10000 Hz according to the international standard requirements.     Abstract An 3-D precorrected-FFT accelerated BEM approach for the linear elastic analysis of porous solids with randomly distributed pores of arbitrary shape and size is described in this paper. Both the upper bound and the lower bound of elastic properties of solids with spherical pores are obtained using the developed fast BEM code. Effects of porosity and pore shape on the elastic properties are investigated.
