    Tingting Yang1, Hailong Feng1, Chengming Yang2, Ge Guo3, Tieshan Li1

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.33, No.2, pp. 157-164, 2018, DOI:10.32604/csse.2018.33.157

Abstract In this paper, the online and offline scheduling schemes towards maritime Cyber Physical Systems (CPSs), to transmit video packets generating from the interior of vessel. During the sailing from the origin port to destination port, the video packets could be delivered via the infostations shoreside. The video packets have their respective release times, deadlines, weights and processing time. The video packets only could be successfully transmitted before their deadlines. A mathematic job-machine problem is mapped. Facing distinguished challenges with unique characteristics imposed in maritime scenario, we focus on the heterogeneous networking and resource optimal scheduling technology to provide valuable insights… More >

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.124, No.3, pp. 1149-1165, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2020.010932

Abstract Snow cover is an important parameter in the fields of computer modeling, engineering technology and energy development. With the extensive growth of novel hardware and software compositions creating smart, cyber physical systems’ (CPS) efficient end-to-end workflows. In order to provide accurate snow detection results for the CPS’s terminal, this paper proposed a snow cover detection algorithm based on the unsupervised Gaussian mixture model (GMM) for the FY-4A satellite data. At present, most snow cover detection algorithms mainly utilize the characteristics of the optical spectrum, which is based on the normalized difference snow index (NDSI) with thresholds in different wavebands. Abstract Aim: To describe the physical and psychological symptoms in healthcare workers caring for COVID-19 patients. Methods: Cross-sectional descriptive study design. A sample of 1,452 participants was collected. Sociodemographic data were recorded. Symptoms of anxiety were screened with Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD-7), symptoms of depression were measured with the Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9), and finally physical symptoms were measured using the Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-15). Percentages, means and standard deviations, the one-way and two-way ANOVA test, the Chi square test and Pearson’s correlation coefficient were all calculated. The level of significance was (p < 0.05). Results: Medium levels of anxiety (range,… More >

Kinematic Calibration of a Parallel Manipulator for a Semi-physical Simulation System

    Dayong Yu

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.24, No.3, pp. 571-580, 2018, DOI:10.31209/2018.100000024

Abstract In the application of a semi-physical simulation system of a space docking mechanism, the simulation precision is determined by pose accuracy of the parallel manipulator. In order to improve pose accuracy, an effective kinematic calibration method is presented to enable the full set of kinematic parameter errors to be estimated by measuring the docking mechanism’s poses. A new calibration model that takes into account geometrical parameter errors and coordinates transformation errors is derived by using a differential geometry method. Based on the calibration model, an iterative least square algorithm is utilized to calculate the above errors. Simulation and experimental results… More >

A Hot Event Influence Scope Assessment Method in Cyber-Physical Space For Big Data Application

Yunlan Xuea, Lingyu Xub, Jie Yub, Gaowei Zhangb

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.24, No.1, pp. 97-106, 2018, DOI:10.1080/10798587.2016.1267247

Abstract The increase of scale and complexity of Internet big data presents unprecedented opportunities on Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS). The incompleteness and incredibility of Internet big data are challenging issues for confirming the event influence scope. To solve the above problem, we propose CyberPhysical Space Event Model (CPSEM) to analyze event influence in multi-viewer, which maps real data into Cyber Space (CS) and Physical Space (PS). In addition, we propose Event Influence Scope Detection Algorithm (EISDA) to detect the scope of a hot event in Cyber Space and Physical Space. More >

A Cross Layer Protocol for Fast Identification of Blocked Tags in Large-Scale RFID Systems

    Chu Chu1, Zhong Huang1, Rui Xu1, Guangjun Wen1, *, Lilan Liu2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.64, No.3, pp. 1705-1724, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.010190

Abstract Blocker tag attack is one of the denial-of-service (DoS) attacks that threatens the privacy and security of RFID systems. The attacker interferes with the blocked tag by simulating a fake tag with the same ID, thus causing a collision of message replies. In many practical scenarios, the number of blocked tags may vary, or even be small. For example, the attacker may only block the important customers or high-value items. To avoid the disclosure of privacy and economic losses, it is of great importance to fast pinpoint these blocked ones. However, existing works do not take into account the impact… More >

PUF-Based Key Distribution in Wireless Sensor Networks

    Zheng Zhang1, Yanan Liu1, *, Qinyuan Zuo1, Lein Harn2, Shuo Qiu1, Yuan Cheng1

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.64, No.2, pp. 1261-1280, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.010034

Abstract Physical Unclonable Functions (PUFs) can be seen as kind of hardware oneway functions, who are easily fabricated but difficult to clone, duplicate or predict. Therefore, PUFs with unclonable and unpredictable properties are welcome to be applied in designing lightweight cryptography protocols. In this paper, a Basic Key Distribution Scheme (Basic-KDS) based on PUFs is firstly proposed. Then, by employing different deployment modes, a Random Deployment Key Distribution Scheme (RD-KDS) and a Grouping Deployment Key Distribution Scheme (GD-KDS) are further proposed based on the Basic-KDS for large scale wireless sensor networks. In our proposals, a sensor is not pre-distributed with any… More >

Experimental Research on the Physical and Mechanical Properties of Concrete with Recycled Plastic Aggregates

    Haikuan Wu1,2, Changwu Liu1,2,*, Song Shi1,2, Kangliang Chen1,2

    Journal of Renewable Materials, Vol.8, No.7, pp. 727-738, 2020, DOI:10.32604/jrm.2020.09589

Abstract In order to study the effect of recycled plastic particles on the physical and mechanical properties of concrete, recycled plastic concrete with 0, 3%, 5% and 7% content (by weight) was designed. The compressive strength, splitting tensile strength and the change of mass caused by water absorption during curing were measured. The results show that the strength of concrete is increased by adding recycled plastic into concrete. Among them, the compressive strength and the splitting tensile strength of concrete is the best when the plastic content is 5%. With the increase of plastic content, the development speed of early strength… More >

    Congenital Heart Disease, Vol.13, No.4, pp. 578-583, 2018, DOI:10.1111/chd.12614

Abstract Children with congenital heart disease are at risk for developing increased arterial stiffness and this may be modulated by physical activity. Objective: To compare arterial stiffness in high- and low-physically active children with congenital heart disease and healthy age- and sex-matched controls.
Patients: Seventeen children with congenital heart disease (12 ± 2 years; females = 9), grouped by low- and high-physical activity levels from accelerometry step count values, and 20 matched controls (11 ± 3 years; females = 9) were studied.
Outcome Measures: Carotid-radial pulse wave velocity was assessed with applanation tonometry to determine arterial stiffness. Body composition and 6-min… More >
