Shihu Liu, Chunsheng Yang*, Yingjie Liu

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.38, No.3, pp. 203-223, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.040818

Abstract Many network presentation learning algorithms (NPLA) have originated from the process of the random walk between nodes in recent years. Despite these algorithms can obtain great embedding results, there may be also some limitations. For instance, only the structural information of nodes is considered when these kinds of algorithms are constructed. Aiming at this issue, a label and community information-based network presentation learning algorithm (LC-NPLA) is proposed in this paper. First of all, by using the community information and the label information of nodes, the first-order neighbors of nodes are reconstructed. In the next, the random walk strategy is improved… More >

    Giuseppe Corrente1,2,*, Carlo Vincenzo Stanzione3,4, Vittoria Stanzione5

    Journal of Quantum Computing, Vol.5, pp. 55-70, 2023, DOI:10.32604/jqc.2023.044786

Abstract The Hamiltonian cycle problem (HCP), which is an NP-complete problem, consists of having a graph G with nodes and m edges and finding the path that connects each node exactly once. In this paper we compare some algorithms to solve a Hamiltonian cycle problem, using different models of computations and especially the probabilistic and quantum ones. Starting from the classical probabilistic approach of random walks, we take a step to the quantum direction by involving an ad hoc designed Quantum Turing Machine (QTM), which can be a useful conceptual project tool for quantum algorithms. Introducing several constraints to the graphs,… More >

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.41, No.2, pp. 795-809, 2022, DOI:10.32604/csse.2022.019987

Abstract Stock market trading is an activity in which investors need fast and accurate information to make effective decisions. But the fact is that forecasting stock prices by using various models has been suffering from low accuracy, slow convergence, and complex parameters. This study aims to employ a mixed model to improve the accuracy of stock price prediction. We present how to use a random walk based on jump-diffusion, to obtain stock predictions with a good-fitting degree by adjusting different parameters. Aimed at getting better parameters and then using the time series model to predict the data, we employed the time… More >

Abstract Broadcasting is a basic technique in Mobile ad-hoc network (MANET), and it refers to sending a packet from one node to every other node within the transmission range. Flooding is a type of broadcast where the received packet is retransmitted once by every node. The naive flooding technique, floods the network with query messages, while the random walk technique operates by contacting the subsets of every node’s neighbors at each step, thereby restricting the search space. One of the key challenges in an ad-hoc network is the resource or content discovery problem which is about locating the queried resource. Many… More >
