    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.136, No.1, pp. 921-941, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.025769 - 05 January 2023

Abstract This research aims to understand the fractional order dynamics of the deadly Nipah virus (NiV) disease. We focus on using piecewise derivatives in the context of classical and singular kernels of power operators in the Caputo sense to investigate the crossover behavior of the considered dynamical system. We establish some qualitative results about the existence and uniqueness of the solution to the proposed problem. By utilizing the Newtonian polynomials interpolation technique, we recall a powerful algorithm to interpret the numerical findings for the aforesaid model. Here, we remark that the said viral infection is caused… More > Graphic Abstract

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.135, No.3, pp. 2715-2730, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.024755 - 23 November 2022

Abstract In early December 2019, a new virus named “2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV)” appeared in Wuhan, China. The disease quickly spread worldwide, resulting in the COVID-19 pandemic. In the current work, we will propose a novel fuzzy soft modal (i.e., fuzzy-soft expert system) for early detection of COVID-19. The main construction of the fuzzy-soft expert system consists of five portions. The exploratory study includes sixty patients (i.e., forty males and twenty females) with symptoms similar to COVID-19 in (Nanjing Chest Hospital, Department of Respiratory, China). The proposed fuzzy-soft expert system depended on five symptoms of COVID-19 More > Graphic Abstract

Abstract Wood plays a major role in the production of furniture and wooden structures. Nevertheless, in this process, the massive use of adhesives and plural connectors remains a definite problem for health and the environment. Therefore, wood welding is a breakthrough in this respect. This paper reviews the applications of wood welding in furniture and construction and then examines advances in improving the durability of welded wood against water. Our contribution also highlights the need to join African tropical woods using the rotational friction welding technique. According to our results, these woods present interesting chemical singularities, More >

Wajaree Weera1, Thongchai Botmart1,*, Samina Zuhra2, Zulqurnain Sabir3, Muhammad Asif Zahoor Raja4, Salem Ben Said5

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.74, No.2, pp. 4453-4467, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.033232 - 31 October 2022

Abstract This works intends to provide numerical solutions based on the nonlinear fractional order derivatives of the classical White and Comiskey model (NFD-WCM). The fractional order derivatives have provided authentic and accurate solutions for the NDF-WCM. The solutions of the fractional NFD-WCM are provided using the stochastic computing supervised algorithm named Levenberg-Marquard Backpropagation (LMB) based on neural networks (NNs). This regression approach combines gradient descent and Gauss-Newton iterative methods, which means finding a solution through the sequences of different calculations. WCM is used to demonstrate the heroin epidemics. Heroin has been on-growth world wide, mainly in… More >

Abstract The focus of our work is on the most recent results in fixed point theory related to contractive mappings. We describe variants of -contractions that expand, supplement and unify an important work widely discussed in the literature, based on existing classes of interpolative and -contractions. In particular, a large class of contractions in terms of and F for both linear and nonlinear contractions are defined in the framework of -metric-like spaces. The main result in our paper is that --weak contractions have a fixed point in -metric-like spaces if function F or the specified contraction is More >

    Canadian Journal of Urology, Vol.29, No.1, pp. 10960-10968, 2022

Abstract Introduction: To determine if Aquablation therapy can maintain long term effectiveness in treating men with moderate to severe lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) due to benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) with a baseline prostate volume between 30 and 80 mL at 5 years compared to TURP.
Materials and methods: In a double-blinded, multicenter prospective randomized controlled trial, 181 patients with moderate to severe LUTS secondary to BPH underwent TURP or Aquablation. The primary efficacy endpoint was reduction in International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS) at 6 months. The primary safety endpoint was the occurrence of Clavien-Dindo persistent Grade 1… More >

Abstract In 2020, the reported cases were 0.12 million in the six regions to the official report of the World Health Organization (WHO). For most children infected with leprosy, 0.008629 million cases were detected under fifteen. The total infected ratio of the children population is approximately 4.4 million. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the awareness programs implementation has been disturbed. Leprosy disease still has a threat and puts people in danger. Nonlinear delayed modeling is critical in various allied sciences, including computational biology, computational chemistry, computational physics, and computational economics, to name a few. Abstract The purpose of this research is to construct an integrated neuro swarming scheme using the procedures of the artificial neural networks (ANNs) with the use of global search particle swarm optimization (PSO) along with the competent local search interior-point programming (IPP) called as ANN-PSOIPP. The proposed computational scheme is implemented for the numerical simulations of the third order nonlinear delay differential Emden-Fowler model (TON-DD-EFM). The TON-DD-EFM is based on two types along with the particulars of shape factor, delayed terms, and singular points. A merit function is performed using the optimization of PSOIPP to find More >

Abstract The current study relates to designing a swarming computational paradigm to solve the influenza disease system (IDS). The nonlinear system’s mathematical form depends upon four classes: susceptible individuals, infected people, recovered individuals and cross-immune people. The solutions of the IDS are provided by using the artificial neural networks (ANNs) together with the swarming computational paradigm-based particle swarm optimization (PSO) and interior-point scheme (IPA) that are the global and local search approaches. The ANNs-PSO-IPA has never been applied to solve the IDS. Instead a merit function in the sense of mean square error is constructed using More >
