Jin Zhao, Yi Wang*, Zhengwei Ma

    Structural Durability & Health Monitoring, Vol.17, No.2, pp. 159-173, 2023, DOI:10.32604/sdhm.2023.09601

Abstract Viscoelastic damper is an effective passive damping device, which can reduce the seismic response of the structure by increasing the damping and dissipating the vibration energy of structures. It has a wide application prospect in actual structural vibration control because of simple device and economical material. In view of the poor seismic behaviors of assembled frame structure connections, various energy dissipation devices are proposed to improve the seismic performance. The finite element numerical analysis method is adopted to analyze relevant energy dissipation structural parameters. The response spectrum of a 7-story assembled frame structure combined the ordinary steel support, ordinary viscoelastic… More >

    Energy Engineering, Vol.120, No.7, pp. 1685-1699, 2023, DOI:10.32604/ee.2023.025404

Abstract The power output state of photovoltaic power generation is affected by the earth's rotation and solar radiation intensity. On the one hand, its output sequence has daily periodicity; on the other hand, it has discrete randomness. With the development of new energy economy, the proportion of photovoltaic energy increased accordingly. In order to solve the problem of improving the energy conversion efficiency in the grid-connected optical network and ensure the stability of photovoltaic power generation, this paper proposes the short-term prediction of photovoltaic power generation based on the improved multi-scale permutation entropy, local mean decomposition and singular spectrum analysis algorithm.… More >

Shayla Islam1, Anil Kumar Budati1,*, Mohammad Kamrul Hasan2, Saoucene Mahfoudh3, Syed Bilal Hussian Shah3

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.137, No.1, pp. 813-825, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.027595

Abstract In wireless communications, the Ambient Backscatter Communication (AmBC) technique is a promising approach, detecting user presence accurately at low power levels. At low power or a low Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR), there is no dedicated power for the users. Instead, they can transmit information by reflecting the ambient Radio Frequency (RF) signals in the spectrum. Therefore, it is essential to detect user presence in the spectrum for the transmission of data without loss or without collision at a specific time. In this paper, the authors proposed a novel Spectrum Sensing (SS) detection technique in the Cognitive Radio (CR) spectrum, by developing… More >

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.136, No.3, pp. 2451-2463, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.021145

Abstract The low-field nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) technique has been used to probe the pore size distribution and the fluid composition in geophysical prospecting and related fields. However, the speed and accuracy of the existing numerical inversion methods are still challenging due to the ill-posed nature of the first kind Fredholm integral equation and the contamination of the noises. This paper proposes a novel inversion algorithm to accelerate the convergence and enhance the precision using empirical truncated singular value decompositions (TSVD) and the linearized Bregman iteration. The L1 penalty term is applied to construct the objective function, and then the linearized… More > Graphic Abstract

    Dong Qing1,*, Qi Song1, Shuangyun Huang2, Gening Xu1

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.136, No.3, pp. 2345-2370, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.026552

Abstract For the randomness of crane working load leading to the decrease of load spectrum prediction accuracy with time, an adaptive TSSA-HKRVM model for crane load spectrum regression prediction is proposed. The heterogeneous kernel relevance vector machine model (HKRVM) with comprehensive expression ability is established using the complementary advantages of various kernel functions. The combination strategy consisting of refraction reverse learning, golden sine, and Cauchy mutation + logistic chaotic perturbation is introduced to form a multi-strategy improved sparrow algorithm (TSSA), thus optimizing the relevant parameters of HKRVM. The adaptive updating mechanism of the heterogeneous kernel RVM model under the multi-strategy improved… More >

    V. Satheesh Kumar1,*, S. Ramesh2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.36, No.2, pp. 2191-2200, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.021188

Abstract At 12.8 MHz center frequency, the advanced miniaturized polymer-based planar high quality factor (Q) passive elements embedded bandpass filter works in the L-band. Because most of the demands operate inside the spectrum, the wideband or high-speed operation necessary to enhance must be acquired in microwave frequency ranges. The channel has a quiet, high-performance microfilter with wideband rejection. Capacitors and inductors are used in the high quality factor (Q) passive components, and related networks are incorporated in the filter. Embedded layers are concatenated using Three-Dimensional Integrated Circuit (3D-IC) integration, parasitics are removed, and interconnection losses are negotiated using de-embedding methods. G. Arunachalam1,*, P. SureshKumar2

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.45, No.2, pp. 1279-1294, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.031001

Abstract The main components of Cognitive Radio networks are Primary Users (PU) and Secondary Users (SU). The most essential method used in Cognitive networks is Spectrum Sensing, which detects the spectrum band and opportunistically accesses the free white areas for different users. Exploiting the free spaces helps to increase the spectrum efficiency. But the existing spectrum sensing techniques such as energy detectors, cyclo-stationary detectors suffer from various problems such as complexity, non-responsive behaviors under low Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) and computational overhead, which affects the performance of the sensing accuracy. Many algorithms such as Long-Short Term Memory (LSTM), Convolutional Neural… More >

Abstract In past decades, cellular networks have raised the usage of spectrum resources due to the victory of mobile broadband services. Mobile devices create massive data than ever before, facing the way cellular networks are installed presently for satisfying the increased traffic requirements. The development of a new exclusive spectrum offered to meet up the traffic requirements is challenging as spectrum resources are limited, hence costly. Cognitive radio technology is presented to increase the pool of existing spectrum resources for mobile users via Femtocells, placed on the top of the available macrocell network for sharing the same spectrum. Nevertheless, the concurrent… More >
