    Energy Engineering, Vol.119, No.5, pp. 2105-2134, 2022, DOI:10.32604/ee.2022.017718

Abstract Accurate conditions monitoring and early wrong action warnings of relay protection in the Smart Substation is the basic guarantee to realize the normal operation of primary and secondary system of the power grid. At present, the traditional operation and maintenance monitoring methods of relay protections have poor timeliness, while some automatic monitoring methods have insufficient early warning performance, and lack the online action deduction function independent of the actual device. In this paper, a design method of integrated action deduction system including protection logic reasoning and software and hardware operation condition is proposed. The system can receive real-time operation information… More >

Effect Evaluation and Intelligent Prediction of Power Substation Project Considering New Energy

Huiying Wu*, Meihua Zou, Ye Ke, Wenqi Ou, Yonghong Li, Minquan Ye

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.132, No.3, pp. 739-761, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2022.019714

Abstract The evaluation of the implementation effect of the power substation project can find out the problems of the project more comprehensively, which has important practical significance for the further development of the power substation project. To ensure accuracy and real-time evaluation, this paper proposes a novel hybrid intelligent evaluation and prediction model based on improved TOPSIS and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) optimized by a Sperm Whale Algorithm (SWA). Firstly, under the background of considering the development of new energy, the influencing factors of power substation project implementation effect are analyzed from three aspects of technology, economy and society. Moreover, an… More >

    Qiang Zhang1, Xianguang Zha1, Jun Wu1, Liang Zhang1, Wei Dai2, Gang Ren3, Shiqian Li3, Ning Ji3,*, Xiangjun Zhu3, Fengwei Tian3

    Structural Durability & Health Monitoring, Vol.16, No.1, pp. 37-51, 2022, DOI:10.32604/sdhm.2022.018422

Abstract As the emergency power supply for a simulation substation, lead-acid batteries have a work pattern featuring non-continuous operation, which leads to capacity regeneration. However, the accurate estimation of battery state of charge (SOC), a measurement of the amount of energy available in a battery, remains a hard nut to crack because of the non-stationarity and randomness of battery capacity change. This paper has proposed a comprehensive method for lead-acid battery SOC estimation, which may aid in maintaining a reasonable charging schedule in a simulation substation and improving battery’s durability. Based on the battery work pattern, an improved Ampere-hour method is… More >

Research on Application of Location Technology in 3D Virtual Environment Modeling System for Substation Switch Indicator

Lijuan Qina,b, Ting Wangb, Chen Yaob

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.24, No.1, pp. 115-122, 2018, DOI:10.1080/10798587.2016.1267250

Abstract Substation inspection work plays a very important role in ensuring the normal production and the safe operation of a transformer substation. Use of a substation inspection robot can effectively solve the omission problems of a manual inspection. It can further improve the unmanned and automation of substation and improve security of station. A substation inspection system requires the establishment of a spatial position relation between the robot and the inspection object in the monitoring station. Key technology is the spatial location of the object being detected in the substation. The position of inspection object is unknown. This paper gives technical… More >

Wind-Induced Vibration Control for Substation Frame on Viscous Damper

    Bingji Lan1, Kanghao Yan1, *

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.62, No.3, pp. 1303-1315, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.06584

Abstract In order to study the wind-induced vibration control effect of the viscous damper on the large-scale substation frame, this paper takes the large-scale 1000 kV substation frame of western Inner Mongolia as an example. The time-history sample of pulsating wind load is simulated by harmonic superposition method based on Matlab software. 6 kinds of viscous damper arrangement schemes have been designed, and SAP2000 finite element software is used for fine modeling and input wind speed time history load for nonlinear time history analysis. The displacement and acceleration of a typical node are the indicators of wind vibration control. The wind-induced… More >
