    A Layered Energy-Efficient Multi-Node Scheduling Mechanism for Large-Scale WSN

Xue Zhao, Shaojun Tao, Hongying Tang, Jiang Wang*, Baoqing Li*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.79, No.1, pp. 1335-1351, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2024.047996

Abstract In recent years, target tracking has been considered one of the most important applications of wireless sensor network (WSN). Optimizing target tracking performance and prolonging network lifetime are two equally critical objectives in this scenario. The existing mechanisms still have weaknesses in balancing the two demands. The proposed heuristic multi-node collaborative scheduling mechanism (HMNCS) comprises cluster head (CH) election, pre-selection, and task set selection mechanisms, where the latter two kinds of selections form a two-layer selection mechanism. The CH election innovatively introduces the movement trend of the target and establishes a scoring mechanism to determine the optimal CH, which can… More >

Multi-Target Tracking of Person Based on Deep Learning

Xujun Li*, Guodong Fang, Liming Rao, Tengze Zhang

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.47, No.2, pp. 2671-2688, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.038154

Abstract To improve the tracking accuracy of persons in the surveillance video, we proposed an algorithm for multi-target tracking persons based on deep learning. In this paper, we used You Only Look Once v5 (YOLOv5) to obtain person targets of each frame in the video and used Simple Online and Realtime Tracking with a Deep Association Metric (DeepSORT) to do cascade matching and Intersection Over Union (IOU) matching of person targets between different frames. To solve the IDSwitch problem caused by the low feature extraction ability of the Re-Identification (ReID) network in the process of cascade matching, we introduced Spatial Relation-aware… More >

Heart Rate Detection Using SVM Based on Video Imagery

    Wu Zeng1, Yi Sheng1,*, Qiuyu Hu1, Zhanxiong Huo1, Yingge Zhang1, Yuxuan Xie2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.32, No.1, pp. 377-387, 2022, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2022.017748

Abstract According to the World Health Organization, the death rate of cardiovascular diseases ranks first in the composition of disease deaths. Research shows that the heart rate can be employed as an important physiological parameter to measure the health status of people’s cardiac health. A pressure pulse is formed by the periodic beating and contraction of the heart, so its rate and the pressure pulse signal have a distinct synchronous periodicity. Certain wavelengths of light are known to be absorbed by the capillaries in the human skin, where this absorption fluctuates in accordance with the heartbeat as the capillary blood volume… More >

Traffic Flow Statistics Method Based on Deep Learning and Multi-Feature Fusion

Liang Mu, Hong Zhao*, Yan Li, Xiaotong Liu, Junzheng Qiu, Chuanlong Sun

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.129, No.2, pp. 465-483, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2021.017276

Abstract Traffic flow statistics have become a particularly important part of intelligent transportation. To solve the problems of low real-time robustness and accuracy in traffic flow statistics. In the DeepSort tracking algorithm, the Kalman filter (KF), which is only suitable for linear problems, is replaced by the extended Kalman filter (EKF), which can effectively solve nonlinear problems and integrate the Histogram of Oriented Gradient (HOG) of the target. The multi-target tracking framework was constructed with YOLO V5 target detection algorithm. An efficient and long-running Traffic Flow Statistical framework (TFSF) is established based on the tracking framework. Virtual lines are set up… More >

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.28, No.2, pp. 513-526, 2021, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2021.016450

Abstract With the rapid development of the Internet of Things and advanced sensors, vision-based monitoring and forecasting applications have been widely used. In the context of the Internet of Things, visual devices can be regarded as network perception nodes that perform complex tasks, such as real-time monitoring of road traffic flow, target detection, and multi-target tracking. We propose the High-Performance detection and Multi-Correlation measurement algorithm (HPMC) to address the problem of target occlusion and perform trajectory correlation matching for multi-target tracking. The algorithm consists of three modules: 1) For the detection module, we proposed the You Only Look Once(YOLO)v3_plus model, which… More >
