    Journal on Internet of Things, Vol.1, No.2, pp. 71-76, 2019, DOI:10.32604/jiot.2019.05946

Abstract Carbon monoxide (CO) is harmful to our health, and even causes death. The main source of CO is automobile exhaust. Therefore, this article determines that CO is the emission factor, and finally the evaluation model is established. The model provides an important basis for the highway construction project design, traffic management, environmental pollution control, energy saving, environmental evaluation and so on. Compared with the traditional method that calculates the road traffic volume through the air emissions model, according to the total amount of air pollution control, this paper builds the emission diffusion model, which calculates the road traffic volume by… More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.59, No.3, pp. 833-851, 2019, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2019.04078

Abstract In the transition mode of quad tilt wing-unmanned aerial vehicle (QTW-UAV), the system stability of UAV will change with the tilt angle changes, which will cause serious head drop down. Meanwhile, with the complex air flow and other disturbances, the system is prone to side bias, frying, stall and other kinetic stability problems, hence the system stability analysis has become an urgent problem to be solved. To solve the stability problem, we need the quantitative criteria of system stability and effective tool of stability analysis, and can improve the stability of the motion control by optimizing the structural parameters of… More >

A Data Download Method from RSUs Using Fog Computing in Connected Vehicles

    Dae-Young Kim1, Seokhoon Kim2,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.59, No.2, pp. 375-387, 2019, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2019.06077

Abstract Communication is important for providing intelligent services in connected vehicles. Vehicles must be able to communicate with different places and exchange information while driving. For service operation, connected vehicles frequently attempt to download large amounts of data. They can request data downloading to a road side unit (RSU), which provides infrastructure for connected vehicles. The RSU is a data bottleneck in a transportation system because data traffic is concentrated on the RSU. Therefore, it is not appropriate for a connected vehicle to always attempt a high speed download from the RSU. If the mobile network between a connected vehicle and… More >

Abstract Nowadays, the number of vehicles in China has increased significantly. The increase of the number of vehicles has also led to the increasingly complex traffic situation and the urgent safety measures in need. However, the existing early warning devices such as geomagnetic, ultrasonic and infrared detection have some shortcomings like difficult installation and maintenance. In addition, geomagnetic detection will damage the road surface, while ultrasonic and infrared detection will be greatly affected by the environment. Considering the shortcomings of the existing solutions, this paper puts forward a solution of early warning for vehicle turning meeting based on image acquisition and… More >

    Qi Wang1,2,*, Changsong Yang1,2, Shaoen Wu3, Yuxiang Wang1,2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.59, No.1, pp. 105-118, 2019, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2019.03739

Abstract Transfer alignment is used to initialize SINS (Strapdown Inertial Navigation System) in motion. Lever-arm effect compensation is studied existing in an AUV (Autonomous Underwater Vehicle) before launched from the mother ship. The AUV is equipped with SINS, Doppler Velocity Log, depth sensor and other navigation sensors. The lever arm will cause large error on the transfer alignment between master inertial navigation system and slave inertial navigation system, especially in big ship situations. This paper presents a novel method that can effectively estimate and compensate the flexural lever arm between the main inertial navigation system mounted on the mother ship and… More >

A New Optimized Algorithm with Nonlinear Filter for Ultra-Tightly Coupled Integrated Navigation System of Land Vehicle

    Chien-Hao Tseng1, Dah-Jing Jwo2, Chih-Wen Chang1

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.27, No.1, pp. 23-54, 2012, DOI:10.3970/cmc.2012.027.023

Abstract The extended particle filter (EPF) assisted by the Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy logic adaptive system (FLAS) is used to design the ultra-tightly coupled GPS/INS (inertial navigation system) integrated navigation, which can maneuver the vehicle environment and the GPS outages scenario. The traditional integrated navigation designs adopt a loosely or tightly coupled architecture, for which the GPS receiver may lose the lock due to the interference/jamming scenarios, high dynamic environments, and the periods of partial GPS shading. An ultra-tight GPS/INS architecture involves the integration of I (in-phase) and Q (quadrature) components from the correlator of a GPS receiver with the INS data.… More >

    Liu Duo-Neng1,2, Hou Zhong-Xi1, Guo Zheng1, Yang Xi-Xiang1, Gao Xian-Zhong1

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.111, No.6, pp. 531-565, 2016, DOI:10.3970/cmes.2016.111.531

Abstract Dynamic soaring is a flight maneuver to exploit gradient wind field to extend endurance and traveling distance. Optimal trajectories for permissible wind conditions are generated for loitering dynamic soaring as well as for traveling patterns with a small unmanned aerial vehicle. The efficient direct collection approach based on the Runge-Kutta integrator is used to solve the optimization problem. The fast convergence of the optimization process leads to the potential for real-time applications. Based on the results of trajectory optimizations, the general permissible wind conditions which involve the allowable power law exponents and feasible reference wind strengths supporting dynamic soaring are… More >

A Metamodel-Based Global Algorithm for Mixed-Integer Nonlinear Optimization and the Application in Fuel Cell Vehicle Design

    Haoxiang Jie1,2, Huihong Shi3, Jianwan Ding2,4, Yizhong Wu2, Qian Yin2

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.108, No.3, pp. 193-214, 2015, DOI:10.3970/cmes.2015.108.193

Abstract This paper improves the adaptive metamodel-based global algorithm (AMGO), which is presented for unconstrained continuous problems, to solve mixed-integer nonlinear optimization involving black-box and expensive functions. The new proposed method is called as METADIR, which can be divided into two stages. In the first stage, the METADIR adopts extended DIRECT method to constantly subdivide the design space and identify the sub-region that may contain the optimal value. When iterative points gather into a sub-region to some extent, we terminate the search progress of DIRECT and turn to the next stage. In the second phase, a local metamodel is constructed in… More >

    Chen Chang1, Su Shaohui1, Chen Guojin1

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.108, No.1, pp. 1-20, 2015, DOI:10.3970/cmes.2015.108.001

Abstract For modeling and simulation of energy system in lunar vehicle, there are many special purpose tools along with their models, such as PSIM, EMTP/ATP, could be used. But the models in these tools lack of flexibility and are not open to the end-user. Models developed in one tool can’t be conveniently used in others because of the barriers among these simulators. Usually these models are expressed in an explicit state-space form and their topology gets lost and future extension and reuse of the model is almost impossible. In order to solve those problems, a flexible and extensible energy system model… More >
