Summary

Internet of Things (IoT) refers to the network of physical objects that are powered by self-organized sensors, and actuators that are intelligent, and adaptive, and exploit various network technologies that enable the connection and exchange of data with other devices and systems with the aid of the internet. Smart City Initiatives is one of the prime concerns for growth in the coming years. IoT technologies will play a vital role in providing smart city solutions. The challenge is to provide solutions for diversified requirements that arise from different verticals such as Smart Building, Lighting, Parking, Transportation, Healthcare, Farming, Waste Management, etc. At present each vertical is addressed by different vendors, providing end-to-end solutions to a set of requirements for that particular vertical. But the promising solution might be to have an integrated end-to-end solution where the sensors and the corresponding data are made available across many other services to provide a cost-effective solution. It is expected that the sixth generation (6G) of cellular networks will integrate previously disparate technologies, such as IoT, artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, big data analytics, and blockchain technologies. The important driver for 6G would be providing substantially higher capacity and much lower latency to attain ubiquitous wireless connectivity for the Internet of Everything that will guarantee the quality of end-user experience. Massive connectivity, security and privacy requirements, higher data consumption, and device resource constraints pose a greater challenge to future computing systems. Most of these challenges can be addressed with the integration of decentralized blockchain technology with the 6G architecture framework. The aim of this special issue is to present and highlight the challenges and research issues in all the verticals that may pursue the vision of such convergence. The selected papers in this special issue will be devoted to developments in future computing ecosystems especially will be focused on a wide range of their applications. Abstract In recent years, the issue of preserving the privacy of parties involved in blockchain transactions has garnered significant attention. To ensure privacy protection for both sides of the transaction, many researchers are using ring signature technology instead of the original signature technology. However, in practice, identifying the signer of an illegal blockchain transaction once it has been placed on the chain necessitates a signature technique that offers conditional anonymity. Some illegals can conduct illegal transactions and evade the law using ring signatures, which offer perfect anonymity. This paper firstly constructs a conditionally anonymous linkable ring signature using the Diffie-Hellman key… More >
