LAMC2 regulates proliferation, migration, and invasion mediated by the Pl3K/AKT/mTOR pathway in oral squamous carcinoma

    Oncology Research, Vol.31, No.4, pp. 481-493, 2023, DOI:10.32604/or.2023.029064

Abstract Background: Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is a common malignant tumor. Recently, Laminin Gamma 2 (LAMC2) has been shown to be abnormally expressed in OSCC; however, how LAMC2 signaling contributes to the occurrence and development of OSCC and the role of autophagy in OSCC has not been fully explored. This study aimed to analyze the role and mechanism of LAMC2 signaling in OSCC and the involvement of autophagy in OSCC. Methods: To explore the mechanism by which LAMC2 is highly expressed in OSCC, we used small interfering RNA (siRNA) to knock down LAMC2 to further observe the changes in the… More >

L’évolution de l’occupation du sol et des inégalités environnementales dans la ville minière de Métlaoui par le biais d’un SIG-AMC

    Bilel Salhi1 , Mohsen Dhieb2,3, Yamna Djellouli4

    Revue Internationale de Géomatique, Vol.29, No.3, pp. 381-399, 2019, DOI:10.3166/rig.2020.00094

Abstract The city of Métlaoui is the most important urban core in Gafsa Mining Basin (BMG) in southwestern Tunisia. Like other BMG cities, it is characterized by a single industrial activity of phosphate enrichment and observes a spatial activity between the “European village” favorized to a certain term and the peripheral cities disadvantaged. Today, this dichotomy is not decreasing; on the contrary, the research reveals real signs of accentuation of this socio- spatial segregation inherited from colonial and post-colonial periods, and the environmental vicissitudes confirm the territorial iniquity. The research methodology has used for the social-spatial aspect heterogeneous data sources and… More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.74, No.1, pp. 503-522, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.032427

Abstract A 5G wireless system requests a high-performance compact antenna device. This research work aims to report the characterization and verification of the artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) metamaterial for a high-gain planar antenna. The configuration is formed by a double-side structure on an intrinsic dielectric slab. The 2-D periodic pattern as an impedance surface is mounted on the top surface, whereas at the bottom surface the ground plane with an inductive narrow aperture source is embedded. The characteristic of the resonant transmission is illustrated based on the electromagnetic virtual object of the AMC resonant structure to reveal the unique property of… More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.71, No.2, pp. 3227-3241, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.023008

Abstract In this paper, a compact, efficient and easy to fabricate wearable antenna integrated with Artificial Magnetic Conductor (AMC) is presented. Addition of slots and bevels/cuts in the rectangular monopole patch antenna yield a wide bandwidth along with band notches. The proposed antenna is backed with an AMC metasurface that changes the bidirectional radiation pattern to a unidirectional, thus, considerably reducing the Specific Absorption Ratio (SAR). The demonstrated antenna has a good coverage radiating away from the body and presents reduced radiation towards the body with a front-to-back ratio of 13 dB and maximum gain of 3.54 dB. The proposed design… More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.69, No.3, pp. 2997-3013, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2021.018855

Abstract This paper presents an AMC (artificial magnetic conductor)-based wideband circularly polarized printed monopole antenna for unidirectional radiation. The antenna includes an AMC reflector, a coplanar waveguide (CPW) feed structure to excite the antenna, a ground plane with a rectangular slot on the left side of feedline, and an asymmetrical ground plane on its right side. The induced surface currents on CWP feedline, rectangularly slotted, and asymmetrical ground planes cause circularly polarized radiations. The AMC reflector consisting periodic metallic square patches is used instead of the conventional PEC (perfect electric conductor) reflector, the distance between the antenna and reflector is reduced… More >
