    Abstract This article reviews the theory of fairness in AI–from machine learning to federated learning, where the constraints on precision AI fairness and perspective solutions are also discussed. For a reliable and quantitative evaluation of AI fairness, many associated concepts have been proposed, formulated and classified. However, the inexplicability of machine learning systems makes it almost impossible to include all necessary details in the modelling stage to ensure fairness. The privacy worries induce the data unfairness and hence, the biases in the datasets for evaluating AI fairness are unavoidable.     Abstract Cancer is a leading cause of death globally, with limited treatment options and several limitations. Chemotherapeutic agents often result in toxicity which long-term conventional treatment. Phytochemicals are natural constituents that are more effective in treating various diseases with less toxicity than the chemotherapeutic agents providing alternative therapeutic approaches to minimize the resistance. These phytoconstituents act in several ways and deliver optimum effectiveness against cancer.     Abstract The conventional peridynamic material correspondence model suffers from the well-known issue of material instability. The material instability in peridynamics can be understood as the existence of nonunique mapping between deformation states and the resultant force state. This instability poses practical difficulties while using the correspondence model in computational modeling.     Abstract This paper proposes a modified formulation of the singular boundary method (SBM) by introducing the combined Helmholtz integral equation formulation (CHIEF) and the self-regularization technique to exterior acoustics. In the SBM, the concept of the origin intensity factor (OIF) is introduced to avoid the singularities of the fundamental solutions. The SBM belongs to the meshless boundary collocation methods.     Valorization of Tunisian Pomegranate Peel Tannins in Green Adhesives Formulation

    Abstract The possible use of Tunisian pomegranate tannins in wood adhesive formulation was studied for the fi rst time. Colorimetric tests, Fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-fl ight (MALDI-TOF) mass spectrometry were used to examine pomegranate tannins. Analysis showed that pomegranate peels are rich in hydrolyzable tannins. The Stiasny number tests showed the low reactivity of pomegranate tannin extract to formaldehyde and thus the diffi culty of using it in wood adhesive formulation.     Abstract The article proposes an Equivalent Single Layer (ESL) formulation for the linear static analysis of arbitrarily-shaped shell structures subjected to general surface loads and boundary conditions.
