    Martínez Corral L1, E Martínez-Rubin2, F F lores-García3, M Vázquez-Rueda3, J Frías-Ramírez2, MA Segura-Castruita2

    Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany, Vol.80, pp. 79-84, 2011, DOI:10.32604/phyton.2011.80.079

Abstract Potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) is a crop whose production yield at national level is very low compared with that in the most productive countries. This is because it is a partially automated crop with deficient and inadequate agronomic practices, low technification levels and great quantity of work wages required per hectare of cultivation. The necessity to generate technical and modern procedures that increase crop production, quality and yield has fostered development of projects leading to obtain seedlings free of pathogens with material of high genetic, physiological and sanitary quality. Utilization of a vision system for the computerized visual recognition of… More >

    Molecular & Cellular Biomechanics, Vol.16, Suppl.1, pp. 67-68, 2019, DOI:10.32604/mcb.2019.05738

Abstract Intravascular optical coherence tomography (OCT) has the characteristics of high resolution and fast imaging speed. Continuous images of the same section of the same vessel can reflect the deformation characteristics of the vessel wall under different blood pressure. Digital image processing may be used to segment various structures on the vascular wall and extract the deformation incorporating with biomechanical analysis. Image filtering plays a very important role in image processing. Median filter was used to filter salt and pepper noise in OCT images. Fuzzy function gray processing method was used to suppress irrelevant information and improve image clarity. Dividing point… More >

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.86, No.1, pp. 39-52, 2012, DOI:10.3970/cmes.2012.086.039

Abstract In this work we solve numerically a boundary value problem for second order fuzzy differential equations under generalized differentiability in the form y''(t) = p(t)y'(t) + q(t)y(t) + F(t) y(0) = γ, y(l) = λ where t ∈T = [0,l], p(t)≥0, q(t)≥0 are continuous functions on [0,l] and [γ]α = [γ_αα], [λ]α = [λ_α¯α] are fuzzy numbers. There are four different solutions of the problem (0.1) when the fuzzy derivative is considered as generalization of the H-derivative. An algorithm is presented and the finite difference method is used for solving obtained problems. The applicability of presented… More >

    Tcw Chen1, Wray Marriott2, Ann Nicholson3, Tim Chen4, Mars Kmieckowiak5, Jcy Chen6,*

    Sound & Vibration, Vol.53, No.2, pp. 29-37, 2019, DOI:10.32604/sv.2019.04224

Abstract In this paper, a method sustaining system stability after decomposition is proposed. Based on the stability criterion derived from the energy function, a set of intelligent controllers is synthesized which is used to maintain the stability of the system. The sustainable stability problem can be reformulated as a Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMI) problem. The key to guaranteeing the stability of the system as a whole is to find a common symmetrically positive definite matrix for all subsystems. Furthermore, the Evolved Bat Algorithm (EBA) is employed to replace the pole assignment method and the conventional mathematical methods for solving the LMI.… More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.61, No.2, pp. 849-859, 2019, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2019.05932

Abstract Aiming at the problem that the traditional collaborative filtering recommendation algorithm does not fully consider the influence of correlation between projects on recommendation accuracy, this paper introduces project attribute fuzzy matrix, measures the project relevance through fuzzy clustering method, and classifies all project attributes. Then, the weight of the project relevance is introduced in the user similarity calculation, so that the nearest neighbor search is more accurate. In the prediction scoring section, considering the change of user interest with time, it is proposed to use the time weighting function to improve the influence of the time effect of the evaluation,… More >

    A. M. E. Ramírez-Mendoza1

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.115, No.3, pp. 295-311, 2018, DOI: 10.3970/cmes.2018.00239

Abstract A spike response model (SRM) based on the spikes generator circuit (SGC) of adaptive fuzzy spiking neurons (AFSNs) is developed. The SRM is simulated in MatlabTM environment. The proposed model is applied to a configuration of a fuzzy exclusive or (fuzzy XOR) operator, as an illustrative example. A description of the comparison of AFSNs with other similar methods is given. The novel method of the AFSNs is used to determine the value of the weights or parameters of the fuzzy XOR, first with dynamic weights or self-tuning parameters that adapt continuously, then with fixed weights obtained after training, finally with… More >

Fuzzy Logic Model on Operation and Control of Hydro-Power Dams in Malaysia

Dr. V. Ramani Bai, Prof. Mohamad Rom Tamjis

The International Conference on Computational & Experimental Engineering and Sciences, Vol.4, No.1, pp. 31-40, 2007, DOI:10.3970/icces.2007.004.031

Abstract The aim of this paper is to develop a fuzzy logic model for deriving optimal operational rules at the macro level for better performance and control of hydro-power generation. System modeling based on conventional mathematical tools is not well suited for dealing with ill-defined and uncertain systems. By contrast, a fuzzy inference system employing "if-then" rules can model the qualitative aspects of human knowledge and reasoning processes without employing precise quantitative analyses. In fuzzy logic, diagnosis is based on imprecise data. For instance, when the demand is `very high' i.e. in linguistic term, then its value is important in assisting… More >

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.119, No.2, pp. 281-293, 2019, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2019.04421

Abstract With the development of various navigation systems (such as GLONASS, Galileo, BDS), there is a sharp increase in the number of visible satellites. Accordingly, the probability of multiply gross measurements will increase. However, the conventional RAIM methods are difficult to meet the demands of the navigation system. In order to solve the problem of checking and identify multiple gross errors of receiver autonomous integrity monitoring (RAIM), this paper designed full matrix of single point positioning by QR decomposition, and proposed a new RAIM algorithm based on fuzzy clustering analysis with fuzzy c-means (FCM). And on the condition of single or… More >
