Modified Optimization for Efficient Cluster-based Routing Protocol in Wireless Sensor Network

Marwah Mohammad Almasri1,*, Abrar Mohammed Alajlan2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.33, No.3, pp. 1687-1710, 2022, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2022.023240

Abstract Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) comprise numerous sensor nodes for monitoring specific areas. Great deals of efforts have been achieved to obtain effective routing approaches using clustering methods. Clustering is considered an effective way to provide a better route for transmitting the data, but cluster head selection and route generation is considered as a complicated task. To manage such complex issues and to enhance network lifetime and energy consumption, an energy-effective cluster-based routing approach is proposed. As the major intention of this paper is to select an optimal cluster head, this paper proposes a modified golden eagle optimization (M-GEO) algorithm to… More >

Improved Homomorphic Encryption with Optimal Key Generation Technique for VANETs

    G. Tamilarasi1,*, K. Rajiv Gandhi2, V. Palanisamy1

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.33, No.2, pp. 1273-1288, 2022, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2022.024687

Abstract In recent years, vehicle ad hoc networks (VANETs) have garnered considerable interest in the field of intelligent transportation systems (ITS) due to the added safety and preventive measures for drivers and passengers. Regardless of the benefits provided by VANET, it confronts various challenges, most notably in terms of user/message security and privacy. Due to the decentralised nature of VANET and its changeable topologies, it is difficult to detect rogue or malfunctioning nodes or users. Using an improved grasshopper optimization algorithm (IGOA-PHE) technique in VANETs, this research develops a new privacy-preserving partly homomorphic encryption with optimal key generation. The suggested IGOA-PHE… More >

    International Journal of Mental Health Promotion, Vol.24, No.1, pp. 69-84, 2022, DOI:10.32604/ijmhp.2022.018932

Abstract The average stress of people in China’s workplace is reaching the peak in recent two years. To improve employee’s positive psychological factors, Spiritual leadership has a good performance in this regard. Based on the mediating effect of goal self-concordance and self-efficacy, this paper further studies the impact of spiritual leadership on employee’s work engagement. Through the empirical study, the following conclusions are drawn: (1) Spiritual leadership significantly positively affects the employee’s work engagement. (2) Spiritual leadership has a significant positive effect on goal self-concordance and self-efficacy. (3) Goal self-concordance and self-efficacy have significant positive effects on employee’s work engagement. (4)… More >

Goal Self-Concordance Model: What Have We Learned and Where are We Going

    Peng Wan1, Ting Wen2,*, Yunfei Zhang3, Hong Gao1, Jigan Wang1

    International Journal of Mental Health Promotion, Vol.23, No.2, pp. 201-219, 2021, DOI:10.32604/IJMHP.2021.015759

Abstract Goal self-concordance reflects self-generated personal goals aligning with people’s interests and core values in one’s implicit personality as organic components, which is measured by the “perceived locus of causality” PLOC. Pursuing and achieving self-concordant goals both predict diversified outcomes in need-satisfaction, mental and physical well-being, positive attitude and behavior, etc. Based on expounding and sorting out the concept and measurement about goal self-concordance, the author analyzes the differences among a series of goal self-concordance theories. This paper focuses on the latest research trends and summarizes five influencing aspects of goal self-concordance: mental health, cognition, emotion, personal will, and behavioral outcomes.… More >

Advances in molecular regulation of goat lipid metabolism and FAS structure and function regulation

    JIAHE GUO2,#, XIAOGUANG JI3,#, YONGJIANG MAO2, ZHANGPING YANG2, ZHI CHEN2, YUAN YUAN1,*

    BIOCELL, Vol.45, No.4, pp. 835-847, 2021, DOI:10.32604/biocell.2021.015652

Abstract Goat milk is widely recognized for its nutritional value. Fatty acid synthase (FAS) is the crucial enzyme of fatty acid de novo synthesis. It plays an important role in the formation of goat milk fat. In this paper, we first introduced the molecular regulation process of goat milk fat metabolism based on the structure research of FAS. Secondly, we reviewed some key factors in FAS transcription and post-transcriptional regulation of the goat mammary gland and preliminarily constructed the expression network of the goat mammary gland FAS gene. The purpose of this paper is to systematically introduce the role of FAS… More >

Impact of pituitary FSH purification on in vitro early folliculogenesis in goats

    D.M. MAGALHÃES1*, V.R. ARAÚJO1, I.B. LIMA-VERDE1, M.H.T. MATOS1, R.C. SILVA2, C.M. LUCCI2, S.N. BÁO2, C.C. CAMPELLO1, J.R. FIGUEIREDO1

    BIOCELL, Vol.33, No.2, pp. 91-97, 2009, DOI:10.32604/biocell.2009.33.091

Abstract Porcine pituitary follicle stimulating hormone (pFSH) is known to regulate the production of growth factors that have an essential role in early foliculogenesis. However, the effects of different preparations of pFSH on the survival and development of caprine follicles are not yet known. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of different pFSH (Stimufol® and Folltropin®) on the in vitro survival and growth of caprine preantral follicles. Pieces of caprine ovarian tissues were cultured for either one or seven days in a supplemented Minimum Essential Medium, alone or containing either Stimufol® (50 ng/mL) or Folltropin® (10, 50,… More >

Research on Coal Pillar Width in Roadway Driving Along Goaf Based on The Stability of Key Block

    Zhengzheng Cao1, Yuejin Zhou1,2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.48, No.2, pp. 77-90, 2015, DOI:10.3970/cmc.2015.048.077

Abstract Reasonable width design of narrow coal pillar is the key for ensuring stability of surrounding rock in the roadway driving along next goaf. Based on movement characteristics of overlying strata in gob-side entry, the paper establishes the mechanical model of surrounding rock structure for roadway driving along next goaf, and analyzes the interaction mechanism between key blocks and coal pillar. Besides, in allusion to the mechanical equilibrium of key block B in basic roof, the stability coefficients K1 and K2 of key block B and sensitive coefficient of influencing factor are introduced. When the stability coefficient K1 is larger than… More >

Numerical prediction and sequential process optimization in sheet forming based on genetic algorithm

    Schmidt1

The International Conference on Computational & Experimental Engineering and Sciences, Vol.15, No.2, pp. 65-74, 2010, DOI:10.3970/icces.2010.015.065

Abstract Genetic algorithm is an emerging technique used in engineering design activities to find an optimized solution which satisfy a number of design goals. Non-linear direct method of goal search use successive linearization techniques, which are sensitive to the chosen starting solution and quality of the objective function. The proposed technique can solve programming problems having non-convex regions, which are usually avoided in classical optimization problems. The efficacy of the proposed novel method is demonstrated by solving a number of test problems. The results suggest that the proposed method is effective and represents a practical tool for solving sheet forming problems. More >
