    FDMP-Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing, Vol.18, No.3, pp. 789-813, 2022, DOI:10.32604/fdmp.2022.019691

Abstract In order to determine the optimal structural parameters of a plastic centrifugal pump in the framework of an orthogonal-experiment approach, a numerical study of the related flow field has been performed using CFX. The thickness S, outlet angle β2, inlet angle β1, wrap angle, and inlet diameter D1 of the splitter blades have been considered as the variable factors, using the shaft power and efficiency of the pump as evaluation indices. Through a parametric analysis, the relative importance of the influence of each structural parameter on each evaluation index has been obtained, leading to the following combinations: β1 19°, β2… More >

    S. Jacophine Susmi*

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.33, No.2, pp. 1139-1152, 2022, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2022.023865

Abstract The classification of cancer subtypes is substantial for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. However, the gene expression data used for cancer subtype classification are high dimensional in nature and small in sample size. In this paper, an efficient dimensionality reduction with optimized long short term memory, algorithm (OLSTM) is used for gene expression data classification. The main three stages of the proposed method are explicitly pre-processing, dimensional reduction, and gene expression data classification. In the pre-processing method, the missing values and redundant values are removed for high-quality data. Following, the dimensional reduction is done by orthogonal locality preserving projections… More >

    A. Vasuki1, Vijayakumar Ponnusamy2,*

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.33, No.1, pp. 71-86, 2022, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2022.022586

Abstract A good wireless device in a system needs high spectral efficiency. Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) is a technique used to enhance spectral efficiency, thereby allowing users to share information at the same time and same frequency. The information of the user is super-positioned either in the power or code domain. However, interference cancellation in NOMA aided system is challenging as it determines the reliability of the system in terms of Bit Error Rate (BER). BER is an essential performance parameter for any wireless network. Intelligent Reflecting Surfaces (IRS) enhances the BER of the users by controlling the electromagnetic wave propagation… More >

    Journal on Internet of Things, Vol.3, No.4, pp. 139-147, 2021, DOI:10.32604/jiot.2021.016747

Abstract The underwater wireless communication with the complexity of attenuation and low propagation speed makes resource constraints in networking sensor nodes and sink. Underwater Sensor Transmission with Attenuation Calculation using Non Orthogonal Multiple Access (UWSTAC-NOMA) protocol has been proposed. This protocol calculates channel gain along with attenuation in underwater channels and provides internetworking sensor for rate allocation minimizing interference. Successive Interference Cancellation has been used at the receiving sensor to decode the information sent. The network level performance of sensors and increasing the data rate improves the overall throughput. Simultaneously, connecting several sensors to sink based on its depth region of… More >

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.32, No.2, pp. 979-990, 2022, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2022.020726

Abstract The Corona (COVID-19) epidemic has triggered interest in many fields of technology, medicine, science, and politics. Most of the mathematical research in this area focused on analyzing the dynamics of the spread of the virus. In this article, after a review of some current methodologies, a non-linear system of differential equations is developed to model the spread of COVID-19. In order to consider a wide spectrum of scenarios, we propose a susceptible-exposed-infected-quarantined-recovered (SEIQRS)-model which was analyzed to determine threshold conditions for its stability, and the number of infected cases that is an infected person will transmit on a virus to,… More >

    Xiaoying Chen1,*, Jie Kang1, Cong Hu2

    Journal of New Media, Vol.3, No.4, pp. 151-180, 2021, DOI:10.32604/jnm.2021.024665

Abstract The texture of ground-based nephogram is abundant and multiplicity. Many cloud textures are not as clear as artificial textures. A nephogram enhancement algorithm based on Adaptive Fractional Differential is established to extract the natural texture of visible ground-based cloud image. GrunwaldLentikov (G-L) and Grunwald-Lentikov (R-L) fractional differential operators are applied to the enhancement algorithm of ground-based nephogram. An operator mask based on adaptive differential order is designed. The corresponding mask template is used to process each pixel. The results show that this method can extract image texture and edge details and simplify the process of differential order selection. More >

Abstract Brain arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are abnormal vessels that are prone to rupture, causing life-threatening intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). Understanding the molecular basis of pathogenesis, timely diagnosis, and treatment of brain AVMs are some of the urgent problems in neurosurgery. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small endogenous RNAs that regulate gene-expression posttranscriptionally. MiRNAs are involved in almost all biological processes, including cell proliferation, apoptosis, and cell differentiation. Recent studies have shown that miRNAs can be involved in brain AVMs formation and rupture. There are also extracellular forms of miRNAs. Circulating miRNAs have been detected in the blood circulation and other body fluids. Owing to… More >
