    Abstract A hard problem that hinders the movement of waxy crude oil is wax deposition in oil pipelines. To ensure the safe operation of crude oil pipelines, an accurate model must be developed to predict the rate of wax deposition in crude oil pipelines.     Abstract In order to accurately obtain the wax deposition rate model, according to the kinetic principle of wax deposition, several factors affecting the wax deposition rate were selected, and by a optimization software of First Optimization(1stOpt), The parameters of two typical wax deposition rate models are solved respectively based on optimization algorithm combined by Levenberg-Marquardt (L-M) algorithm and global optimization and the calculated data were compared.     Abstract Graphene flakes (GF) have been prepared and assessed as a material for improving flow in oil pipelines under the effect of an electric field.
