    He Zhang1,2,*, He-Qing Mu2,*, Xiao Zhang3, He Zhang2, Yuedong Yang4

    Structural Durability & Health Monitoring, Vol.19, No.3, pp. 499-530, 2025, DOI:10.32604/sdhm.2025.059070 - 03 April 2025

Abstract Safety evaluation of a bridge under Moving Abnormal Indivisible Loads (MAILs) directly relates to whether an oversized and/or overweight Large-Cargo Transportation (LCT) vehicle is permitted to pass the bridge. Safety evaluation can be updated by fusing bridge inspection data and load test data, but there are two fundamental difficulties in updating. The first difficulty is to develop an updating scheme to utilize the unstructured inspection data. The second difficulty is to develop a successive updating scheme using load test data based on the previous updating results of the inspection data. This paper proposed a framework,… More >

Abstract Redundancy, correlation, feature irrelevance, and missing samples are just a few problems that make it difficult to analyze software defect data. Additionally, it might be challenging to maintain an even distribution of data relating to both defective and non-defective software. The latter software class’s data are predominately present in the dataset in the majority of experimental situations. The objective of this review study is to demonstrate the effectiveness of combining ensemble learning and feature selection in improving the performance of defect classification. Besides the successful feature selection approach, a novel variant of the ensemble learning… More >

Dynamic Deep Learning for Enhanced Reliability in Wireless Sensor Networks: The DTLR-Net Approach

    Gajjala Savithri1,2, N. Raghavendra Sai1,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.81, No.2, pp. 2547-2569, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2024.055827 - 18 November 2024

Abstract In the world of wireless sensor networks (WSNs), optimizing performance and extending network lifetime are critical goals. In this paper, we propose a new model called DTLR-Net (Deep Temporal LSTM Regression Network) that employs long-short-term memory and is effective for long-term dependencies. Mobile sinks can move in arbitrary patterns, so the model employs long short-term memory (LSTM) networks to handle such movements. The parameters were initialized iteratively, and each node updated its position, mobility level, and other important metrics at each turn, with key measurements including active or inactive node ratio, energy consumption per cycle,… More >
