    Mohamed EL Boujnouni1, Mohamed Jedra2

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.33, No.6, pp. 409-420, 2018, DOI:10.32604/csse.2018.33.409

Abstract Support Vector Domain Description (SVDD) is an effective kernel-based method used for data description. It was motivated by the success of Support Vector Machine (SVM) and thus has inherited many of its attractive properties. It has been extensively used for novelty detection and has been applied successfully to a variety of classification problems. This classifier aims to find a sphere with minimal volume including the majority of examples that belong to the class of interest (positive) and excluding the most of examples that are either outliers or belong to other classes (negatives). In this paper we propose a new approach… More >

Abstract An IDS (intrusion detection system) provides a foremost front line mechanism to guard networks, systems, data, and information. That’s why intrusion detection has grown as an active study area and provides significant contribution to cyber-security techniques. Multiple techniques have been in use but major concern in their implementation is variation in their detection performance. The performance of IDS lies in the accurate detection of attacks, and this accuracy can be raised by improving the recognition rate and significant reduction in the false alarms rate. To overcome this problem many researchers have used different machine learning techniques. These techniques have limitations… More >

    PCD Kalaivaani1,*, Dr. R Thangarajan2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.26, No.1, pp. 71-79, 2020, DOI:10.31209/2019.100000152

Abstract Web mining is the process of integrating the information from web by traditional data mining methodologies and techniques. Opinion mining is an application of natural language processing to extract subjective information from web. Online reviews require efficient classification algorithms for analysing the sentiments, which does not perform an in–depth analysis in current methods. Sentiment classification is done at document level in combination with topics and sentiments. It is based on weakly supervised Joint Sentiment-Topic mode which extends the topic model Maximum Entropy Discrimination Latent Dirichlet Allocation by constructing an additional sentiment layer. It is assumed that topics generated are dependent… More >

Huanyu Zhao, Guoqiang Wang, Shuai Wang, Ruipeng Yang, He Tian, Qiushi Bi

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.24, No.3, pp. 581-592, 2018, DOI:10.31209/2018.100000025

Abstract Articulated tracked vehicles have high mobility and steering performance. The unique structure of articulated tracked vehicles can avoid the subsidence of tracks caused by high traction from instantaneous braking and steering. In order to improve the accuracy of the steady-state steering of the articulated tracked vehicle, the velocity of both sides of the track and the deflection angle of the articulated point need to match better to achieve the purpose of steering accurately and reduce energy consumption and wear of components. In this study, a virtual prototype model of the articulated tracked vehicle is established based on the multi-body dynamic… More >

Jinlan Xu*, Ningning Sun, Gang Xu

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.124, No.2, pp. 627-642, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2020.010341

Abstract This paper presents a novel approximating method to construct highprecision single-patch representation of B-spline surface from a multi-patch representation for isogeometric applications. In isogeometric analysis, multi-patch structure is not easy to achieve high continuity between neighboring patches which will reduce the advantage of isogeometric analysis in a sense. The proposed method can achieve high continuity at surface stitching region with low geometric error, and this technique exploits constructing the approximate surface with several control points are from original surfaces, which guarantees the local feature of the surface can be well-preserved with high precision. With the proposed approximating method, isogeometric analysis… More >

    Jie Xu1, *, Qun Wang1, Yifan Wang1, Khan Asif2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.64, No.3, pp. 1819-1844, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.010727

Abstract Host cardinality estimation is an important research field in network management and network security. The host cardinality estimation algorithm based on the linear estimator array is a common method. Existing algorithms do not take memory footprint into account when selecting the number of estimators used by each host. This paper analyzes the relationship between memory occupancy and estimation accuracy and compares the effects of different parameters on algorithm accuracy. The cardinality estimating algorithm is a kind of random algorithm, and there is a deviation between the estimated results and the actual cardinalities. The deviation is affected by some systematical factors,… More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.64, No.2, pp. 1005-1023, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.010290

Abstract This paper addresses the problem of assessing and optimizing the acoustic positioning system for underwater target localization with range measurement. We present a new three-dimensional assessment model to evaluate the optimal geometric beacon formation whether meets user requirements. For mathematical tractability, it is assumed that the measurements of the range between the target and beacons are corrupted with white Gaussian noise with variance, which is distance-dependent. Then, the relationship between DOP parameters and positioning accuracy can be derived by adopting dilution of precision (DOP) parameters in the assessment model. In addition, the optimal geometric beacon formation yielding the best performance… More >
