    Abstract Background: Recognition of high blood pressure (BP) in children is poor, partly due to the need to compute age-sex-height referenced percentiles. This study examined the change in abnormal BP recognition before versus after the introduction of an electronic health record (EHR) app designed to calculate BP percentiles with a training lecture.

    3D Numerical Simulation of Effect of Antiangiogenic Factor Angiostatin on Blood Flow and Interstitial Fluid Pressure in the Metastatic Tumor

    Abstract Metastatic tumor blood perfusion and interstitial fluid transport based on 3D microvasculature response to inhibitory effect of angiostatin are investigated in this paper. 3D blood flow、interstitial fluid transport and transvascular flow are described by the extended Poiseuille’s, Darcy’s and Starling’s law, respectively. Numerical solutions reveal that angiostatin can promote improved blood perfusion and decrease elevated interstitial fluid pressure within the metastatic tumor microenvironment. Moreover, angiostatin can increase interstitial convection within the tumor and result in more efficient drug delivery and penetration within the metastatic tumor, which suits well with the experimental observations.     Abstract Introduction: To evaluate whether varying degrees of seminomatous elements in the primary orchiectomy specimen would be predictive of patient morbidity during post-chemotherapy retroperitoneal lymph node dissection (PC-RPLND) since the desmoplastic reaction with seminoma is associated with increased intraoperative complexity.

    Bloody otorrhea after robotically assisted laparoscopic prostatectomy

    Abstract Bilateral bloody otorrhea is a rare complication of surgery and to our knowledge a previously unpublished event. We review the case of a 50-year-old male who underwent robotic-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy (RALP) with bilateral lymphadenectomy for Gleason’s Score 4 + 4 = 8 prostate cancer. Bloody discharge from bilateral auditory canals was noted upon removal of the surgical drapes. Otolaryngologic examination revealed bilateral anterior auditory canal hematomas without any loss of hearing.     Abstract Skeletal muscles are responsible for the relative motion of the bones at the joints and provide the required strength. They exhibit highly nonlinear mechanical behaviour and are described by nonlinear hyperelastic constitutive relations. It is distinct from other biological soft tissue.
