Wasim Ullah Khan1,*, Yigang He1, Muhammad Asif Zahoor Raja2, Naveed Ishtiaq Chaudhary3, Zeshan Aslam Khan3, Syed Muslim Shah4

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.67, No.1, pp. 815-834, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2021.014674

Abstract Abstract In this paper, a novel design of the flower pollination algorithm is presented for model identification problems in nonlinear active noise control systems. The recently introduced flower pollination based heuristics is implemented to minimize the mean squared error based merit/cost function representing the scenarios of active noise control system with linear/nonlinear and primary/secondary paths based on the sinusoidal signal, random and complex random signals as noise interferences. The flower pollination heuristics based active noise controllers are formulated through exploitation of nonlinear filtering with Volterra series. The comparative study on statistical observations in terms of accuracy, convergence and complexity measures… More >

Imperfect Premise Matching Controller Design for Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Systems under Network Environments

    Zejian Zhang1, Dawei Wang2,*, Xiao-Zhi Gao3

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.27, No.1, pp. 173-189, 2021, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2021.012805

Abstract The interval type-2 fuzzy sets can describe nonlinear plants with uncertain parameters. It exists in nonlinearity. The parameter uncertainties extensively exist in the nonlinear practical Networked Control Systems (NCSs), and it is paramount to investigate the stabilization of the NCSs on account of the section type-2 fuzzy systems. Notice that most of the existing research work is only on account of the convention Parallel Distribution Compensation (PDC). For overcoming the weak point of the PDC and acquire certain guard stability conditions, the state tickling regulator under imperfect premise matching can be constructed to steady the NCSs using the section type-2… More >

Smart CardioWatch System for Patients with Cardiovascular Diseases Who Live Alone

Raisa Nazir Ahmed Kazi1,*, Manjur Kolhar2, Faiza Rizwan2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.66, No.2, pp. 1237-1250, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.012707

Abstract The widespread use of smartwatches has increased their specific and complementary activities in the health sector for patient’s prognosis. In this study, we propose a framework referred to as smart forecasting CardioWatch (SCW) to measure the heart-rate variation (HRV) for patients with myocardial infarction (MI) who live alone or are outside their homes. In this study, HRV is used as a vital alarming sign for patients with MI. The performance of the proposed framework is measured using machine learning and deep learning techniques, namely, support vector machine, logistic regression, and decision-tree classification techniques. The results indicated that the analysis of… More >

Parameters Optimization of the Heating Furnace Control Systems Based on BP Neural Network Improved by Genetic Algorithm

    Qiong Wang*, Xiaokan Wang

    Journal on Internet of Things, Vol.2, No.2, pp. 75-80, 2020, DOI:10.32604/jiot.2020.010226

Abstract The heating technological requirement of the conventional PID control is difficult to guarantee which based on the precise mathematical model, because the heating furnace for heating treatment with the big inertia, the pure time delay and nonlinear time-varying. Proposed one kind optimized variable method of PID controller based on the genetic algorithm with improved BP network that better realized the completely automatic intelligent control of the entire thermal process than the classics critical purporting (Z-N) method. A heating furnace for the object was simulated with MATLAB, simulation results show that the control system has the quicker response characteristic, the better… More >

A Progressive Output Strategy for Real-time Feedback Control Systems

    Qiming Zou1, Ling Wang1, *, Jie Liu1, Yingtao Jiang2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.26, No.3, pp. 631-639, 2020, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2020.012549

Abstract The real-time requirements imposed on a feedback control system are often hard to be met, as the controller spends a disproportionately large amount of time waiting for a control cycle to reach its final state. When such a final state is established, multiple tasks have to be prioritized and launched altogether simultaneously, and the system is given an extremely short time window to generate its output. This huge gap between the wait and action times, perceived as a load unbalancing problem, hinders a control decision to be made in real time. To address this challenging problem, in this paper, we… More >

Reentry Attitude Tracking Control for Hypersonic Vehicle with Reaction Control Systems via Improved Model Predictive Control Approach

    Kai Liu1, 2, Zheng Hou2, *, Zhiyong She2, Jian Guo2

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.122, No.1, pp. 131-148, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2020.08124

Abstract This paper studies the reentry attitude tracking control problem for hypersonic vehicles (HSV) equipped with reaction control systems (RCS) and aerodynamic surfaces. The attitude dynamical model of the hypersonic vehicles is established, and the simplified longitudinal and lateral dynamic models are obtained, respectively. Then, the compound control allocation strategy is provided and the model predictive controller is designed for the pitch channel. Furthermore, considering the complicated jet interaction effect of HSV during RCS is working, an improved model predictive control approach is presented by introducing the online parameter estimation of the jet interaction coefficient for dealing with the uncertainty and… More >

Event-Based Anomaly Detection for Non-Public Industrial Communication Protocols in SDN-Based Control Systems

    Ming Wan1, Jiangyuan Yao2,*, Yuan Jing1, Xi Jin3,4

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.55, No.3, pp. 447-463, 2018, DOI: 10.3970/cmc.2018.02195

Abstract As the main communication mediums in industrial control networks, industrial communication protocols are always vulnerable to extreme exploitations, and it is very difficult to take protective measures due to their serious privacy. Based on the SDN (Software Defined Network) technology, this paper proposes a novel event-based anomaly detection approach to identify misbehaviors using non-public industrial communication protocols, and this approach can be installed in SDN switches as a security software appliance in SDN-based control systems. Furthermore, aiming at the unknown protocol specification and message format, this approach first restructures the industrial communication sessions and merges the payloads from industrial communication… More >
