Abstract Information security has emerged as a key problem in encryption because of the rapid evolution of the internet and networks. Thus, the progress of image encryption techniques is becoming an increasingly serious issue and considerable problem. Small space of the key, encryption-based low confidentiality, low key sensitivity, and easily exploitable existing image encryption techniques integrating chaotic system and DNA computing are purposing the main problems to propose a new encryption technique in this study. In our proposed scheme, a three-dimensional Chen’s map and a one-dimensional Logistic map are employed to construct a double-layer image encryption scheme. In the confusion stage,… More >

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.37, No.2, pp. 1421-1436, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.034123

Abstract Outsourcing the k-Nearest Neighbor (kNN) classifier to the cloud is useful, yet it will lead to serious privacy leakage due to sensitive outsourced data and models. In this paper, we design, implement and evaluate a new system employing an outsourced privacy-preserving kNN Classifier Model based on Multi-Key Homomorphic Encryption (kNNCM-MKHE). We firstly propose a security protocol based on Multi-key Brakerski-Gentry-Vaikuntanathan (BGV) for collaborative evaluation of the kNN classifier provided by multiple model owners. Analyze the operations of kNN and extract basic operations, such as addition, multiplication, and comparison. It supports the computation of encrypted data with different public keys. At… More >

    Zaid Abdulsalam Ibrahim1,*, Muhammad Ilyas2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.76, No.1, pp. 939-956, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.035798

Abstract Most research works nowadays deal with real-time Internet of Things (IoT) data. However, with exponential data volume increases, organizations need help storing such humongous amounts of IoT data in cloud storage systems. Moreover, such systems create security issues while efficiently using IoT and Cloud Computing technologies. Ciphertext-Policy Attribute-Based Encryption (CP-ABE) has the potential to make IoT data more secure and reliable in various cloud storage services. Cloud-assisted IoTs suffer from two privacy issues: access policies (public) and super polynomial decryption times (attributed mainly to complex access structures). We have developed a CP-ABE scheme in alignment with a Hidden Hierarchy Ciphertext-Policy… More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.76, No.1, pp. 437-453, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.032236

Abstract The advancements in technology have substantially grown the size of image data. Traditional image encryption algorithms have limited capabilities to deal with the emerging challenges in big data, including compression and noise toleration. An image encryption method that is based on chaotic maps and orthogonal matrix is proposed in this study. The proposed scheme is built on the intriguing characteristics of an orthogonal matrix. Gram Schmidt disperses the values of pixels in a plaintext image by generating a random orthogonal matrix using logistic chaotic map. Following the diffusion process, a block-wise random permutation of the data is performed using multi-chaos.… More >

Abstract With the development of cloud computing technology, more and more data owners upload their local data to the public cloud server for storage and calculation. While this can save customers’ operating costs, it also poses privacy and security challenges. Such challenges can be solved using secure multi-party computation (SMPC), but this still exposes more security issues. In cloud computing using SMPC, clients need to process their data and submit the processed data to the cloud server, which then performs the calculation and returns the results to each client. Each client and server must be honest. If there is cooperation or… More >
