    FDMP-Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing, Vol.16, No.5, pp. 993-1005, 2020, DOI:10.32604/fdmp.2020.010443 - 09 October 2020

Abstract Existing “evaluation indicators” are selected and combined to build a model to support the optimization of shale gas horizontal wells. Towards this end, different “weighting methods”, including AHP and the so-called entropy method, are combined in the frame of the game theory. Using a relevant test case for the implementation of the model, it is shown that the horizontal section of the considered well is in the middle sweet spot area with good physical properties and fracturing ability. In comparison with the FSI (flow scanner Image) gas production profile, the new model seems to display More >

Research on Maximum Return Evaluation of Human Resource Allocation Based on Multi-Objective Optimization

    Hong Zhu1,2,*

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.26, No.4, pp. 741-748, 2020, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2020.010108

Abstract In this paper, a human resource allocation method based on the multi-objective hybrid genetic algorithm is proposed, which uses the multi-stage decision model to resolve the problem. A task decision is the result of an interaction under a set of conditions. There are some available decisions in each stage, and it is easy to calculate their immediate effects. In order to give a set of optimal solutions with limited submissions, a multi-objective hybrid genetic algorithm is proposed to solve the combinatorial optimization problems, i.e. using the multiobjective hybrid genetic algorithm to find feasible solutions at… More >

    Hua Yan1,2,3,*, Bo Song1,3, Mansheng Wang4

    Structural Durability & Health Monitoring, Vol.14, No.3, pp. 265-282, 2020, DOI:10.32604/sdhm.2020.06403 - 14 September 2020

Abstract Analyze and compare the basic principles of ultrasonic detection of voids in concrete, choose ZBL-U520/510 non-metallic ultrasonic detector, and use the opposite detection method to test the void size in the joints of prefabricated concrete structures. The results show that: ultrasonic method by testing the waveform, sound, and speed of sound analysis can effectively determine the position of the defect, and through the conversion formula can estimate the void size. Ultrasonic parameters are used to distinguish the internal defects of Assembly concrete. Sometimes there are different results with different parameters. It is difficult for engineers… More >

    Rongfeng Chen1, Changqing Miao2,*

    Structural Durability & Health Monitoring, Vol.14, No.3, pp. 205-228, 2020, DOI:10.32604/sdhm.2020.08997 - 14 September 2020

Abstract In order to study the fatigue properties of rib-to-deck welded connection and rib-to-rib welded connection in orthotropic steel bridge decks, a multi-scale finite element model was set up to analyze the stress distribution characteristics and the load test was conducted on the Taizhou Yangtze River Bridge. Comparing the vehicle test results with the multi-scale finite element model results to verify the accuracy of the finite element simulation for the stress response of two welded details. The results indicated that: The stress at the rib-to-deck welded connection and the rib-to-rib welded connection are the bending stress… More >

Seasonal Characteristics Analysis and Uncertainty Measurement for Wind Speed Time Series

    Xing Deng1,2, Haijian Shao1,2,*, Xia Wang3,4

    Energy Engineering, Vol.117, No.5, pp. 289-299, 2020, DOI:10.32604/EE.2020.011126 - 07 September 2020

Abstract Wind speed’s distribution nature such as uncertainty and randomness imposes a challenge in high accuracy forecasting. Based on the energy distribution about the extracted amplitude and associated frequency, the uncertainty measurement is processed through Rényi entropy analysis method with time-frequency nature. Nonparametric statistical method is used to test the randomness of wind speed, more precisely, whether or not the wind speed time series is independent and identically distribution (i.i.d) based on the output probability. Seasonal characteristics of wind speed are analyzed based on self-similarity in periodogram under scales range generated by wavelet transformation to reasonably More >

Hybrid Soft Computing Technique Based Trust Evaluation Protocol for Wireless Sensor Networks

    Supreet Kaur*, Vijay Kumar Joshi

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.26, No.2, pp. 217-226, 2020, DOI:10.31209/2018.100000064

Abstract Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are susceptible to safety threats due to cumulative dependence upon transmission, computing, and control mechanisms. Therefore, securing the end-to-end communication becomes a major area of research in WSNs. A majority of existing protocols are based upon signature and recommended-based trust evaluation techniques only. However, these techniques are vulnerable to wormhole attacks that happen due to lesser synchronization between the sensor nodes. Therefore, to handle this problem, a novel hybrid crossover-based ant colony optimization-based routing protocol is proposed. An integrated modified signature and recommendationbased trust evaluation protocol for WSNs is presented. Extensive More >

Coverless Text Hiding Method Based on Improved Evaluation Index and One-Bit Embedding

    Ning Wu1,2, Yi Yang1,*, Lian Li1, Zhongliang Yang3, Poli Shang4, Weibo Ma5, Zhenru Liu5

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.124, No.3, pp. 1035-1048, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2020.010450 - 21 August 2020

Abstract In the field of information hiding, text is less redundant, which leads to less space to hide information and challenging work for researchers. Based on the Markov chain model, this paper proposes an improved evaluation index and onebit embedding coverless text steganography method. In the steganography process, this method did not simply take the transition probability as the optimization basis of the steganography model, but combined it with the sentence length in the corresponding nodes in the model to gauge sentence quality. Based on this, only two optimal conjunctions of the current words are retained More >

End-to-End Latency Evaluation of the Sat5G Network Based on Stochastic Network Calculus

    Huaifeng Shi1, Chengsheng Pan1, *, Li Yang2, Debin Wei2, Yunqing Shi3

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.65, No.2, pp. 1335-1348, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.011005 - 20 August 2020

Abstract Simultaneous use of heterogeneous radio access technologies to increase the performance of real-time, reliability and capacity is an inherent feature of satellite-5G integrated network (Sat5G). However, there is still a lack of theoretical characterization of whether the network can satisfy the end-to-end transmission performance for latencysensitive service. To this end, we build a tandem model considering the connection relationship between the various components in Sat5G network architecture, and give an end-to-end latency calculation function based on this model. By introducing stochastic network calculus, we derive the relationship between the end-to-end latency bound and the violation More >
