    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.135, No.1, pp. 65-90, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2022.021940

Abstract The purpose of this paper is to present the class of atomic basis functions (ABFs) which are of exponential type and are denoted by . While ABFs of the algebraic type are already represented in the numerical modeling of various problems in mathematical physics and computational mechanics, ABFs of the exponential type have not yet been sufficiently researched. These functions, unlike the ABFs of the algebraic type , contain the tension parameter , which gives them additional approximation properties. Exponential monomials up to the th degree can be described exactly by the linear combination of the functions . The function… More >

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.35, No.3, pp. 2717-2736, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.029950

Abstract This research investigates the dielectric performance of Natural Ester (NE) using the Partial Differential Equation (PDE) tool and analyzes dielectric performance using fuzzy logic. NE nowadays is found to replace Mineral Oil (MO) due to its extensive dielectric properties. Here, the heat-tolerant Natural Esters Olive oil (NE1), Sunflower oil (NE2), and Ricebran oil (NE3) are subjected to High Voltage AC (HVAC) under different electrodes configurations. The breakdown voltage and leakage current of NE1, NE2, and NE3 under Point-Point (P-P), Sphere-Sphere (S-S), Plane-Plane (PL-PL), and Rod-Rod (R-R) are measured, and survival probability is presented. The electric field distribution is analyzed using… More >

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.35, No.3, pp. 2589-2601, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.024001

Abstract In this study, we proposed a new model to improve the accuracy of forecasting the stock market volatility pattern. The hypothesized model was validated empirically using a data set collected from the Saudi Arabia stock Exchange (Tadawul). The data is the daily closed price index data from August 2011 to December 2019 with 2027 observations. The proposed forecasting model combines the best maximum overlapping discrete wavelet transform (MODWT) function (Bl14) and exponential generalized autoregressive conditional heteroscedasticity (EGARCH) model. The results show the model's ability to analyze stock market data, highlight important events that contain the most volatile data, and improve… More >

    Jiasen Wu1, Genping Tong2, Rui Guo2, Zihao Ye1, Jin Jin1, Haiping Lin1,3,*

    Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany, Vol.91, No.10, pp. 2211-2220, 2022, DOI:10.32604/phyton.2022.021382

Abstract Metasequoia glyptostroboides (M. glyptostroboides) is a unique plant species related to relic flora in China. It plays a positive role in afforestation and its long-term protection with high paleoclimate research value. However, due to the nutrients-supply deficiency, it is a big challenge to cultivate the high-quality seedlings of M. glyptostroboides. In this study, a pot experiment in a greenhouse environment was carried out to identify the effect of N-exponential fertilization on the growth and nutrient distribution of M. glyptostroboides seedling. The M. glyptostroboides rooted seedlings with 12-month growth were chosen. Different N fertilizer levels with conventional fertilization (CF: 5.0 g… More >

Incredible VLSI Design for MIMO System Using SEC-QPSK Detection

    L. Vasanth*, N. J. R. Muniraj

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.33, No.2, pp. 955-966, 2022, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2022.022979

Abstract Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) is an advanced communication technology that is often used for secure data transfer for military and other applications while transmitting data with high error and noise. To address this issue, a step-by-step hybrid Quadrature Phase Shift Keying (QPSK) modulation scheme in the MIMO system for a complex Very Large-Scale Integration (VLSI) format is recommended. When compared to Binary Phase Shift Keying (BPSK), this approach provides twice the data rate while using half the bandwidth. The complexity is lowered through multiplication and addition, as well as error and noise reduction in data transport, and MIMO detection… More >

Heat Transfer of Casson Fluid over a Vertical Plate with Arbitrary Shear Stress and Exponential Heating

    Dolat Khan1, Gohar Ali1, Arshad Khan2, Ilyas Khan3,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.71, No.1, pp. 1025-1034, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.012635

Abstract The basic objective of this work is to study the heat transfer of Casson fluid of non-Newtonian nature. The fluid is considered over a vertical plate such that the plate exhibits arbitrary wall shear stress at the boundary. Heat transfers due to exponential plate heating and natural convection are due to buoyancy force. Magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) analysis in the occurrence of a uniform magnetic field is also considered. The medium over the plate is porous and hence Darcy’s law is applied. The governing equations are established for the velocity and temperature fields by the usual Boussinesq approximation. The problem is first… More >

Abstract This research work proposes a new stack-based generalization ensemble model to forecast the number of incidences of conjunctivitis disease. In addition to forecasting the occurrences of conjunctivitis incidences, the proposed model also improves performance by using the ensemble model. Weekly rate of acute Conjunctivitis per 1000 for Hong Kong is collected for the duration of the first week of January 2010 to the last week of December 2019. Pre-processing techniques such as imputation of missing values and logarithmic transformation are applied to pre-process the data sets. A stacked generalization ensemble model based on Auto-ARIMA (Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average), NNAR (Neural… More >
