    Jialuan He1,2, Zirui Xing2, Rong Hu2, Jing Qiu3,*, Shen Su3,*, Yuhan Chai3, Yue Wu4

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.60, No.2, pp. 527-544, 2019, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2019.05586

Abstract Wireless broadband communication is widely used in maneuver command communications systems in many fields, such as military operations, counter-terrorism and disaster relief. How to reasonably formulate the directional antenna coverage strategy according to the mobile terminal dynamic distribution and guide the directional antenna dynamic coverage becomes a practical research topic. In many applications, a temporary wireless boardband base station is required to support wireless signal communications between many terminals from nearby vehicles and staffs. It is therefore important to efficiently set directional antenna while ensuring large enough coverage over dynamically distributed terminals. The wireless broadband base station mostly uses two… More >

Context-Based Intelligent Scheduling and Knowledge Push Algorithms for AR-Assist Communication Network Maintenance

    Lanlan Rui1, Yabin Qin1,*, Biyao Li1, Zhipeng Gao1

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.118, No.2, pp. 291-315, 2019, DOI:10.31614/cmes.2018.04240

Abstract Maintenance is an important aspect in the lifecycle of communication network devices. Prevalent problems in the maintenance of communication networks include inconvenient data carrying and sub-optimal scheduling of work orders, which significantly restrict the efficiency of maintenance work. Moreover, most maintenance systems are still based on cloud architectures that slow down data transfer. With a focus on the completion time, quality, and load balancing of maintenance work, we propose in this paper a learning-based virus evolutionary genetic algorithm with multiple quality-of-service (QoS) constraints to implement intelligent scheduling in an edge network. The algorithm maintains the diversity of the population and… More >

    J. Sladek1, V. Sladek2, P. Solek1, S.N. Atluri3

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.34, No.3, pp. 273-300, 2008, DOI:10.3970/cmes.2008.034.273

Abstract A meshless method based on the local Petrov-Galerkin approach is proposed, to solve boundary and initial value problems of piezoelectric and magneto-electric-elastic solids with continuously varying material properties. Stationary and transient dynamic 2-D problems are considered in this paper. The mechanical fields are described by the equations of motion with an inertial term. To eliminate the time-dependence in the governing partial differential equations the Laplace-transform technique is applied to the governing equations, which are satisfied in the Laplace-transformed domain in a weak-form on small subdomains. Nodal points are spread on the analyzed domain, and each node is surrounded by a… More >

    Hideki Fujii1, Shinobu Yoshimura1, Kazuya Seki1

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.63, No.3, pp. 265-282, 2010, DOI:10.3970/cmes.2010.063.265

Abstract Traffic system is a typical complex system emerged through interactions among a large number of traffic actors such as car drivers, pedestrians and others. We model each actor as an intelligent agent that can judge and act by itself autonomously, and develop a traffic simulator named MATES, which is based on an intelligent multi-agent model. In this simulator, microscopic behaviors of the traffic actors cause macroscopic traffic phenomena through their interaction. In this research, we newly develop a coordinative behavior model among multiple cars, and implement it to MATES to enhance the reproducibility of traffic behaviors at merging sections. In… More >

Abstract Urban traffic is a key factor for the development of a city. There exist many different approaches facing traffic optimization. In our case we have focused on traffic lights optimization. We have designed and tested a new architecture to optimize traffic light cycle times. The purpose of this research is to demonstrate the good performance of our architecture in a congested scenario. We have simulated several congestion situations for a very large real world traffic network - "La Almozara" in Zaragoza, Spain. Our results seem encouraging in this extreme situation. As we increase the load in the network we get… More >

    S. Yoshimura 1

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.11, No.1, pp. 17-26, 2006, DOI:10.3970/cmes.2006.011.017

Abstract This paper describes a development of an advanced traffic simulator based on a multi-agent approach which is named MATES (Multi-Agent based Traffic and Environment Simulator). City traffic phenomena are essentially regarded as complex systems consisting of a number of human beings. Each element creating traffic phenomena such as car (driver), traffic signal, pedestrian and others is modeled as an intelligent agent that possesses its own logic of behavior and preference. The environment surrounding each agent consists of other cars, road network, traffic signals, pedestrian and others. Interaction among numerous agents simulates nonlinear behaviors of city traffic phenomena. First we describe… More >

Abstract By using efficient and timely medical diagnostic decision making, clinicians can positively impact the quality and cost of medical care. However, the high similarity of clinical manifestations between diseases and the limitation of clinicians’ knowledge both bring much difficulty to decision making in diagnosis. Therefore, building a decision support system that can assist medical staff in diagnosing and treating diseases has lately received growing attentions in the medical domain. In this paper, we employ a multi-label classification framework to classify the Chinese electronic medical records to establish corresponding relation between the medical records and disease categories, and compare this method… More >
