Zujun Ding, Qi Xiang, Chengyi Li, Mengyu Ma, Chutong Zhang, Xinfa Gu, Jiaming Shi, Hui Huang, Aoyun Xia, Wenjie Wang, Wan Chen, Ziluo Yu, Jie Ji*

    Energy Engineering, Vol.123, No.1, 2026, DOI:10.32604/ee.2025.070442 - 27 December 2025

Abstract In order to address environmental pollution and resource depletion caused by traditional power generation, this paper proposes an adaptive iterative dynamic-balance optimization algorithm that integrates the Improved Dung Beetle Optimizer (IDBO) with Variational Mode Decomposition (VMD). The IDBO-VMD method is designed to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of wind-speed time-series decomposition and to effectively smooth photovoltaic power fluctuations. This study innovatively improves the traditional variational mode decomposition (VMD) algorithm, and significantly improves the accuracy and adaptive ability of signal decomposition by IDBO self-optimization of key parameters K and a. On this basis, Fourier transform technology… More >

    Yuhao Zhang1,2,3, Peiqiang Zhao1,2, Xing Chen1,2, Shaoxuan Zhang4, Xinglin Zhang1,2,*

    Structural Durability & Health Monitoring, Vol.19, No.5, pp. 1343-1365, 2025, DOI:10.32604/sdhm.2025.066558 - 05 September 2025

Abstract The structural integrity monitoring of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) geomembranes in landfill containment systems presents a critical engineering challenge due to the material’s vulnerability to mechanical degradation and the complex vibration propagation characteristics in large-scale installations. This study proposes a dual-stream deep learning framework that synergistically integrates raw vibration signal analysis with physics-guided feature extraction to achieve precise rupture detection and localization. The methodology employs a hierarchical neural architecture comprising two parallel branches: a 1D convolutional network processing raw accelerometer signals to capture multi-scale temporal patterns, and a physics-informed branch extracting material-specific resonance features through continuous More >

Tengda Li, Gang Wang, Qiang Fu*, Xiangke Guo, Minrui Zhao, Xiangyu Liu

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.76, No.3, pp. 3499-3522, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.041253 - 08 October 2023

Abstract Aiming at the problems of traditional dynamic weapon-target assignment algorithms in command decision-making, such as large computational amount, slow solution speed, and low calculation accuracy, combined with deep reinforcement learning theory, an improved Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient algorithm with dual noise and prioritized experience replay is proposed, which uses a double noise mechanism to expand the search range of the action, and introduces a priority experience playback mechanism to effectively achieve data utilization. Finally, the algorithm is simulated and validated on the ground-to-air countermeasures digital battlefield. The results of the experiment show that, under the… More >

Fuzzy Firefly Based Intelligent Algorithm for Load Balancing in Mobile Cloud Computing

    Poonam*, Suman Sangwan

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.74, No.1, pp. 1783-1799, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.031729 - 22 September 2022

Abstract This paper presents a novel fuzzy firefly-based intelligent algorithm for load balancing in mobile cloud computing while reducing makespan. The proposed technique implicitly acts intelligently by using inherent traits of fuzzy and firefly. It automatically adjusts its behavior or converges depending on the information gathered during the search process and objective function. It works for 3-tier architecture, including cloudlet and public cloud. As cloudlets have limited resources, fuzzy logic is used for cloudlet selection using capacity and waiting time as input. Fuzzy provides human-like decisions without using any mathematical model. Firefly is a powerful meta-heuristic… More >

    Xianhui Gu1,*, Xiaokan Wang1, Shuang Liang2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.74, No.1, pp. 131-139, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.028756 - 22 September 2022

Abstract In order to solve the defect of large error in current employment quality evaluation, an employment quality evaluation model based on grey correlation degree method and fuzzy C-means (FCM) is proposed. Firstly, it analyzes the related research work of employment quality evaluation, establishes the employment quality evaluation index system, collects the index data, and normalizes the index data; Then, the weight value of employment quality evaluation index is determined by Grey relational analysis method, and some unimportant indexes are removed; Finally, the employment quality evaluation model is established by using fuzzy cluster analysis algorithm, and More >

A Reliability Evaluation Method for Intermittent Jointed Rock Slope Based on Evolutionary Support Vector Machine

Shuai Zheng, An-Nan Jiang*, Kai-Shuai Feng

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.129, No.1, pp. 149-166, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2021.016761 - 24 August 2021

Abstract The randomness of rock joint development is an important factor in the uncertainty of geotechnical engineering stability. In this study, a method is proposed to evaluate the reliability of intermittent jointed rock slope. The least squares support vector machine (LSSVM) evolved by a bacterial foraging optimization algorithm (BFOA) is used to establish a response surface model to express the mapping relationship between the intermittent joint parameters and the slope safety factor. The training samples are obtained from the numerical calculation based on the joint finite element method during this process. Considering the randomness of the… More >

Abstract In order to optimize heat transfer in a heat exchanger using an ARM (advanced RISC machine) core intelligent computer algorithm, a new type of controller has been designed. The whole control structure of the heat exchange unit has been conceived on the basis of seven functional modules, including data processing and output, human-computer interaction, alarm, and data communication. The main controller and communication controller have been used in a combined fashion and a new MCU (micro control unit) system scheme has been proposed accordingly. A fuzzy controller has been designed by using a fuzzy control More >
