    D. Karthik Prabhu1,*, R. V. Maheswari2, B. Vigneshwaran2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.34, No.3, pp. 1441-1454, 2022, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2022.024128

Abstract Measurement and recognition of Partial Discharge (PD) in power apparatus is considered a protuberant tool for condition monitoring and assessing the state of a dielectric system. During operating conditions, PD may occur either in the form of single and multiple patterns in nature. Currently, for PD pattern recognition, deep learning approaches are used. To evaluate spatial order less features from the large-scale patterns, a pre-trained network is used. The major drawback of traditional approaches is that they generate high dimensional data or requires additional steps like dictionary learning and dimensionality reduction. However, in real-time applications, interference incorporated in the measured… More >

    Energy Engineering, Vol.119, No.4, pp. 1453-1466, 2022, DOI:10.32604/ee.2022.018448

Abstract In order to solve the failure of electricity anti-stealing detection device triggered by the noise mixed in high-frequency electricity stealing signals, a denoising method based on variational mode decomposition (VMD) and wavelet threshold denoising (WTD) was applied to extract the effective high-frequency electricity stealing signals. First, the signal polluted by noise was pre-decomposed using the VMD algorithm, the instantaneous frequency means of each pre-decomposed components was analyzed, so as to determine the optimal K value. The optimal K value was used to decompose the polluted signal into K intrinsic mode components, and the sensitive mode components were determined through the… More > Graphic Abstract

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.73, No.1, pp. 1671-1690, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.024918

Abstract Nowadays multiple wireless communication systems operate in industrial environments side by side. In such an environment performance of one wireless network can be degraded by the collocated hostile wireless network having higher transmission power or higher carrier sensing threshold. Unlike the previous research works which considered IEEE 802.15.4 for the Industrial Wireless communication systems (iWCS) this paper examines the coexistence of IEEE 802.11 based iWCS used for delay-stringent communication in process automation and gWLAN (general-purpose WLAN) used for non-real time communication. In this paper, we present a Markov chain-based performance model that described the transmission failure of iWCS due to… More >

Abstract With the rapid evolution of Internet of things (IoT), many edge devices require simultaneous connection in 5G communication era. To afford massive data of IoT devices, multiple input multiple output non-orthogonal multiple access (MIMO-NOMA) method has been considered as a promising technology. However, there are numerous drawbacks due to error propagation and inter-user interferences. Therefore, proposed scheme aims to improve the reliability of the MIMO-NOMA system with digital beamforming and intra-cluster cooperative multi point (CoMP) to efficiently support IoT system. In the conventional MIMO-NOMA system, user entities are grouped into clusters. Block diagonalization (BD) is applied to efficiently eliminate the… More >

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.43, No.2, pp. 531-544, 2022, DOI:10.32604/csse.2022.021694

Abstract The research work presents, constrained network coding technique to ensure the successful data transmission based composite channel cmos technology using dielectric properties. The charge fragmentation and charge splitting are two components of the filtered switch domino (FSD) technique. Further behavior of selected switching is achieved using generator called conditional pulse generator which is employed in Multi Dynamic Node Domino (MDND) technique. Both FSD and MDND technique need wide area compared to existing single node-keeper domino technique. The aim of this research is to minimize dissipation of power and to achieve less consumption of power. The proposed research, works by introducing… More >

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.33, No.1, pp. 305-315, 2022, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2022.024091

Abstract Next-generation Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) use wirelessly connected vehicles for safety and non-safety applications such as autonomous driving, cooperative awareness, route guidance and multimedia transmissions. This network known as the Internet of Vehicles (IoVs) suffers from many challenges such as collisions due to hidden terminals, and interference from simultaneously transmitting vehicles. Moreover, the packet reception ratio of transmissions between vehicles is significantly reduced at high vehicle densities and severe fading scenarios. As safety applications require periodic broadcast of safety messages from each vehicle to all other vehicles in the neighborhood, the development of an efficient medium access technique is a… More >

    A. Vasuki1, Vijayakumar Ponnusamy2,*

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.33, No.1, pp. 71-86, 2022, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2022.022586

Abstract A good wireless device in a system needs high spectral efficiency. Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) is a technique used to enhance spectral efficiency, thereby allowing users to share information at the same time and same frequency. The information of the user is super-positioned either in the power or code domain. However, interference cancellation in NOMA aided system is challenging as it determines the reliability of the system in terms of Bit Error Rate (BER). BER is an essential performance parameter for any wireless network. Intelligent Reflecting Surfaces (IRS) enhances the BER of the users by controlling the electromagnetic wave propagation… More >

    N. Manikanda Devarajan1,*, S. Thenmozhi2, K. Jayaram3, R. Saravanakumar4

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.32, No.2, pp. 1167-1178, 2022, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2022.021558

Abstract Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is a wireless communication technology that is used for highly reliable and high data rate communication. In a multi-user OFDM system, the interference has occurred in the receiver side between the consecutive OFDM symbols. This interference reduces the performance of the OFDM system. To achieve good quality in received symbols the interference level should be minimized. The conventional cancellation system requires higher interference reduction time and power. These limitations of the conventional interference cancellation architectures for OFDM systems are overcome by proposing efficient and low power interference cancellation architecture. Hence, this paper proposes a novel… More >
