Optimized Load Balancing Technique for Software Defined Network

    Aashish Kumar1, Darpan Anand1, Sudan Jha2, Gyanendra Prasad Joshi3, Woong Cho4,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.72, No.1, pp. 1409-1426, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.024970

Abstract Software-defined networking is one of the progressive and prominent innovations in Information and Communications Technology. It mitigates the issues that our conventional network was experiencing. However, traffic data generated by various applications is increasing day by day. In addition, as an organization's digital transformation is accelerated, the amount of information to be processed inside the organization has increased explosively. It might be possible that a Software-Defined Network becomes a bottleneck and unavailable. Various models have been proposed in the literature to balance the load. However, most of the works consider only limited parameters and do not consider controller and transmission… More >

Efficient User Pairing for Performance Enhancement of Downlink NOMA Systems

    Fahad Alraddady*

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.42, No.2, pp. 535-544, 2022, DOI:10.32604/csse.2022.021746

Abstract In this paper, the resource allocation problem for user pairing (UP) in downlink non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) systems is investigated. NOMA allows the use of one subcarrier for more than one user at the same time, thus increases the total capacity of the wireless communication system. However, users pairing is a challenging task in the NOMA systems, because a good channel quality subcarrier should be selected and allocated for the user to enhance the performance of NOMA systems. The proposed UP algorithm aims to enhance the sum rate of the paired users per subcarrier and consequently enhance the total sum… More >

Performance Enhancement of PV Based Boost Cascaded Fifteen Level Inverter for AC Loads

    M. P. Viswanathan*, B. Anand

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.42, No.1, pp. 165-181, 2022, DOI:10.32604/csse.2022.020400

Abstract In this research work, single-stage fifteen levels cascaded DC-interface converter (CDDCLC) is proposed for sun arranged photovoltaic technology (PV) applications. The proposed geography is joined with help DC chopper and H-associate inverter to upgrade the power converter to accomplish the diminished harmonic profile. In assessment with the customary inverter structures, the proposed system is used with diminished voltage stress, decreased switch count and DC source tally. The proposed research work with cascaded DC link converter design requires three DC sources for combining fifteen-level AC output. This investigation structure switching technique is phase opposition and disposition pulse width modulation technique (POPD)… More >

Multiple Phase Change Materials for Performance Enhancement of a Solar Dryer with Double Pass Collector

Ahmed J. Hamad*, Fawziea M. Hussien, Johain J. Faraj

    Energy Engineering, Vol.118, No.5, pp. 1483-1497, 2021, DOI:10.32604/EE.2021.016867

Abstract The fluctuation in drying temperature influences the food products’ quality and drying time significantly during the drying process using an indirect solar dryer. One of the effective methods to reduce these variations in the temperature is based on thermal storage materials to control the drying temperature. An experimental investigation is presented in this study to evaluate the performance of an indirect solar dryer with air double pass using multiple phase change materials (PCM) as thermal storage materials. Two PCMs with different melting points are used to store the available heat energy during peak sunshine periods and reduce the drying temperature… More >
