    Junfeng Sun1, Chenghai Li1, Yafei Song1,*, Peng Ni2, Jian Wang1

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.47, No.1, pp. 993-1021, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.039215

Abstract The accuracy of historical situation values is required for traditional network security situation prediction (NSSP). There are discrepancies in the correlation and weighting of the various network security elements. To solve these problems, a combined prediction model based on the temporal convolution attention network (TCAN) and bi-directional gate recurrent unit (BiGRU) network is proposed, which is optimized by singular spectrum analysis (SSA) and improved quantum particle swarm optimization algorithm (IQPSO). This model first decomposes and reconstructs network security situation data into a series of subsequences by SSA to remove the noise from the data. Furthermore, a prediction model of TCAN-BiGRU… More >

Abstract In recent years, there has been a rapid growth in Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks (UWSNs). The focus of research in this area is now on solving the problems associated with large-scale UWSN. One of the major issues in such a network is the localization of underwater nodes. Localization is required for tracking objects and detecting the target. It is also considered tagging of data where sensed contents are not found of any use without localization. This is useless for application until the position of sensed content is confirmed. This article’s major goal is to review and analyze underwater node localization… More >

Enhanced E-commerce Fraud Prediction Based on a Convolutional Neural Network Model

    Sumin Xie1, Ling Liu2,*, Guang Sun2, Bin Pan2, Lin Lang2, Peng Guo3

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.75, No.1, pp. 1107-1117, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.034917

Abstract The rapidly escalating sophistication of e-commerce fraud in recent years has led to an increasing reliance on fraud detection methods based on machine learning. However, fraud detection methods based on conventional machine learning approaches suffer from several problems, including an excessively high number of network parameters, which decreases the efficiency and increases the difficulty of training the network, while simultaneously leading to network overfitting. In addition, the sparsity of positive fraud incidents relative to the overwhelming proportion of negative incidents leads to detection failures in trained networks. The present work addresses these issues by proposing a convolutional neural network (CNN)… More >

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.45, No.3, pp. 2313-2331, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.029689

Abstract Software systems have grown significantly and in complexity. As a result of these qualities, preventing software faults is extremely difficult. Software defect prediction (SDP) can assist developers in finding potential bugs and reducing maintenance costs. When it comes to lowering software costs and assuring software quality, SDP plays a critical role in software development. As a result, automatically forecasting the number of errors in software modules is important, and it may assist developers in allocating limited resources more efficiently. Several methods for detecting and addressing such flaws at a low cost have been offered. These approaches, on the other hand,… More >

An Optimized Technique for RNA Prediction Based on Neural Network

Ahmad Ali AlZubi*, Jazem Mutared Alanazi

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.35, No.3, pp. 3599-3611, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.027913

Abstract Pathway reconstruction, which remains a primary goal for many investigations, requires accurate inference of gene interactions and causality. Non-coding RNA (ncRNA) is studied because it has a significant regulatory role in many plant and animal life activities, but interacting micro-RNA (miRNA) and long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) are more important. Their interactions not only aid in the in-depth research of genes’ biological roles, but also bring new ideas for illness detection and therapy, as well as plant genetic breeding. Biological investigations and classical machine learning methods are now used to predict miRNA-lncRNA interactions. Because biological identification is expensive and time-consuming, machine… More >

    Zhipeng Li1,2, Shanshan Feng3,*, Jun Shi2, Yang Zhou2, Yong Liao1,2, Yangzhao Yang2, Yangyang Li4, Nenghai Yu1, Xun Shao5

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.44, No.3, pp. 2411-2423, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.026823

Abstract Accurate prediction of future events brings great benefits and reduces losses for society in many domains, such as civil unrest, pandemics, and crimes. Knowledge graph is a general language for describing and modeling complex systems. Different types of events continually occur, which are often related to historical and concurrent events. In this paper, we formalize the future event prediction as a temporal knowledge graph reasoning problem. Most existing studies either conduct reasoning on static knowledge graphs or assume knowledges graphs of all timestamps are available during the training process. As a result, they cannot effectively reason over temporal knowledge graphs… More >

    Yingnan Zhao1,*, Guanlan Ji1, Fei Chen1, Peiyuan Ji1, Yi Cao2

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.43, No.2, pp. 719-735, 2022, DOI:10.32604/csse.2022.027288

Abstract Improving short-term wind speed prediction accuracy and stability remains a challenge for wind forecasting researchers. This paper proposes a new variational mode decomposition (VMD)-attention-based spatio-temporal network (VASTN) method that takes advantage of both temporal and spatial correlations of wind speed. First, VASTN is a hybrid wind speed prediction model that combines VMD, squeeze-and-excitation network (SENet), and attention mechanism (AM)-based bidirectional long short-term memory (BiLSTM). VASTN initially employs VMD to decompose the wind speed matrix into a series of intrinsic mode functions (IMF). Then, to extract the spatial features at the bottom of the model, each IMF employs an improved convolutional… More >
