    Xiaorui Zhang1,2,*, Xun Sun1, Xingming Sun1, Wei Sun3, Sunil Kumar Jha4

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.71, No.2, pp. 3035-3050, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.022304 - 07 December 2021

Abstract The leakage of medical audio data in telemedicine seriously violates the privacy of patients. In order to avoid the leakage of patient information in telemedicine, a two-stage reversible robust audio watermarking algorithm is proposed to protect medical audio data. The scheme decomposes the medical audio into two independent embedding domains, embeds the robust watermark and the reversible watermark into the two domains respectively. In order to ensure the audio quality, the Hurst exponent is used to find a suitable position for watermark embedding. Due to the independence of the two embedding domains, the embedding of… More >

    Gang Xu1,2, Yibo Cao1, Shiyuan Xu1, Ke Xiao1, Xin Liu3, Xiubo Chen4,*, Mianxiong Dong5

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.41, No.3, pp. 945-958, 2022, DOI:10.32604/csse.2022.022100 - 10 November 2021

Abstract In recent decades, log system management has been widely studied for data security management. System abnormalities or illegal operations can be found in time by analyzing the log and provide evidence for intrusions. In order to ensure the integrity of the log in the current system, many researchers have designed it based on blockchain. However, the emerging blockchain is facing significant security challenges with the increment of quantum computers. An attacker equipped with a quantum computer can extract the user's private key from the public key to generate a forged signature, destroy the structure of… More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.70, No.1, pp. 1781-1798, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.019591 - 07 September 2021

Abstract The rise of the digital economy and the comfort of accessing by way of user mobile devices expedite human endeavors in financial transactions over the Virtual Private Network (VPN) backbone. This prominent application of VPN evades the hurdles involved in physical money exchange. The VPN acts as a gateway for the authorized user in accessing the banking server to provide mutual authentication between the user and the server. The security in the cloud authentication server remains vulnerable to the results of threat in JP Morgan Data breach in 2014, Capital One Data Breach in 2019,… More >

Towards Privacy-Preserving Cloud Storage: A Blockchain Approach

    Jia-Shun Zhang1, Gang Xu2,*, Xiu-Bo Chen1, Haseeb Ahmad3, Xin Liu4, Wen Liu5,6,7

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.69, No.3, pp. 2903-2916, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2021.017227 - 24 August 2021

Abstract With the rapid development of cloud computing technology, cloud services have now become a new business model for information services. The cloud server provides the IT resources required by customers in a self-service manner through the network, realizing business expansion and rapid innovation. However, due to the insufficient protection of data privacy, the problem of data privacy leakage in cloud storage is threatening cloud computing. To address the problem, we propose BC-PECK, a data protection scheme based on blockchain and public key searchable encryption. Firstly, all the data is protected by the encryption algorithm. XGBoost Algorithm under Differential Privacy Protection

    Yuanmin Shi1,2, Siran Yin1,2, Ze Chen1,2, Leiming Yan1,2,*

    Journal of Information Hiding and Privacy Protection, Vol.3, No.1, pp. 9-16, 2021, DOI:10.32604/jihpp.2021.012193 - 21 April 2021

Abstract Privacy protection is a hot research topic in information security field. An improved XGBoost algorithm is proposed to protect the privacy in classification tasks. By combining with differential privacy protection, the XGBoost can improve the classification accuracy while protecting privacy information. When using CART regression tree to build a single decision tree, noise is added according to Laplace mechanism. Compared with random forest algorithm, this algorithm can reduce computation cost and prevent overfitting to a certain extent. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is more effective than other traditional algorithms while protecting the More >

    Tao Feng1,*, Hongmei Pei1, Rong Ma1, Youliang Tian2, Xiaoqin Feng3

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.66, No.1, pp. 871-890, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.012146 - 30 October 2020

Abstract Data privacy is important to the security of our society, and enabling authorized users to query this data efficiently is facing more challenge. Recently, blockchain has gained extensive attention with its prominent characteristics as public, distributed, decentration and chronological characteristics. However, the transaction information on the blockchain is open to all nodes, the transaction information update operation is even more transparent. And the leakage of transaction information will cause huge losses to the transaction party. In response to these problems, this paper combines hierarchical attribute encryption with linear secret sharing, and proposes a blockchain data… More >

A Pursuit of Sustainable Privacy Protection in Big Data Environment by an Optimized Clustered-Purpose Based Algorithm

Norjihan Binti Abdul Ghani1, Muneer Ahmad1, Zahra Mahmoud1, Raja Majid Mehmood2,*

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.26, No.6, pp. 1217-1231, 2020, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2020.011731 - 24 December 2020

Abstract Achievement of sustainable privacy preservation is mostly very challenging in a resource shared computer environment. This challenge demands a dedicated focus on the exponential growth of big data. Despite the existence of specific privacy preservation policies at the organizational level, still sustainable protection of a user’s data at various levels, i.e., data collection, utilization, reuse, and disclosure, etc. have not been implemented to its spirit. For every personal data being collected and used, organizations must ensure that they are complying with their defined obligations. We are proposing a new clustered-purpose based access control for users’… More >

    Yun Tan1, Jiaohua Qin1, *, Hao Tang2, Xuyu Xiang1, Ling Tan2, Neal N. Xiong3

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.64, No.3, pp. 1797-1817, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.010802 - 30 June 2020

Abstract With the development of the internet of medical things (IoMT), the privacy protection problem has become more and more critical. In this paper, we propose a privacy protection scheme for medical images based on DenseNet and coverless steganography. For a given group of medical images of one patient, DenseNet is used to regroup the images based on feature similarity comparison. Then the mapping indexes can be constructed based on LBP feature and hash generation. After mapping the privacy information with the hash sequences, the corresponding mapped indexes of secret information will be packed together with More >
