Zhihong Ouyang*, Lei Xue, Feng Ding, Yongsheng Duan

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.77, No.1, pp. 983-1008, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.042222

Abstract Affinity propagation (AP) is a widely used exemplar-based clustering approach with superior efficiency and clustering quality. Nevertheless, a common issue with AP clustering is the presence of excessive exemplars, which limits its ability to perform effective aggregation. This research aims to enable AP to automatically aggregate to produce fewer and more compact clusters, without changing the similarity matrix or customizing preference parameters, as done in existing enhanced approaches. An automatic aggregation enhanced affinity propagation (AAEAP) clustering algorithm is proposed, which combines a dependable partitioning clustering approach with AP to achieve this purpose. The partitioning clustering approach generates an additional set… More >

Threat Modeling and Application Research Based on Multi-Source Attack and Defense Knowledge

Shuqin Zhang, Xinyu Su*, Peiyu Shi, Tianhui Du, Yunfei Han

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.77, No.1, pp. 349-377, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.040964

Abstract Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) is a valuable resource for cybersecurity defense, but it also poses challenges due to its multi-source and heterogeneous nature. Security personnel may be unable to use CTI effectively to understand the condition and trend of a cyberattack and respond promptly. To address these challenges, we propose a novel approach that consists of three steps. First, we construct the attack and defense analysis of the cybersecurity ontology (ADACO) model by integrating multiple cybersecurity databases. Second, we develop the threat evolution prediction algorithm (TEPA), which can automatically detect threats at device nodes, correlate and map multi-source threat information,… More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.77, No.1, pp. 1053-1079, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.038437

Abstract Flooding is a hazardous natural calamity that causes significant damage to lives and infrastructure in the real world. Therefore, timely and accurate decision-making is essential for mitigating flood-related damages. The traditional flood prediction techniques often encounter challenges in accuracy, timeliness, complexity in handling dynamic flood patterns and leading to substandard flood management strategies. To address these challenges, there is a need for advanced machine learning models that can effectively analyze Internet of Things (IoT)-generated flood data and provide timely and accurate flood predictions. This paper proposes a novel approach-the Adaptive Momentum and Backpropagation (AM-BP) algorithm-for flood prediction and management in… More >

    Huizhen Liu1,2, Duanying Wan3, Meng Wang3, Zheming Zhu3, Liyun Yang2,*

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.138, No.1, pp. 349-368, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.028197

Abstract Stress waves affect the stress field at the crack tip and dominate the dynamic crack propagation. Therefore, evaluating the influence of blasting stress waves on the crack propagation behavior and the mechanical characteristics of crack propagation is of great significance for engineering blasting. In this study, ANSYS/LS-DYNA was used for blasting numerical simulation, in which the propagation characteristics of blasting stress waves and stress field distribution at the crack tip were closely observed. Moreover, ABAQUS was applied for simulating the crack propagation path and calculating dynamic stress intensity factors (DSIFs). The universal function was calculated by the fractal method. Lingwen Jiang1, Mingsong Zou2,*

The International Conference on Computational & Experimental Engineering and Sciences, Vol.27, No.2, pp. 1-1, 2023, DOI:10.32604/icces.2023.09669

Abstract Acoustic radiation and propagation characteristics of underwater elastic structures are an organic whole, which should be considered comprehensively. Based on the three-dimensional sono-elasticity theory of ships, the integrated calculation method of acoustic radiation and propagation in ocean environment is realized by using the simple source boundary integral equation. The correctness and accuracy of the method are verified by a series of examples. Based on the domestic supercomputer platform, the parallel transformation of the algorithm is completed, and the two-level multi-core parallel is realized, which greatly improves the computing efficiency. The application of acoustic radiation calculation in composite structures is carried… More >

    A Cosserat Bond-Based Correspondence Model

    Zhuang Chen1, Xihua Chu1,*, Diansen Yang1

The International Conference on Computational & Experimental Engineering and Sciences, Vol.26, No.3, pp. 1-1, 2023, DOI:10.32604/icces.2023.09057

Abstract In this study, we develop a Cosserat bond-based correspondence model(Cosserat BBCM) based on the bondbased correspondence model (BBCM)[1]. BBCM is a generalized bond-based peridynamic model, where the peridynamic pair-wise force (PD force) is calculated by classical constitutive equations through the relation between PD force and stress. In our previous study, we develop the Cosserat peridynamic model (CPM) to investigate the microstructure-related crack growth behavior [2, 3]. But the interactions between material particles are represented by PD forces and moments instead of the stress and couple stress. Due to this divergence, the Cosserat constitutive model such as the elastoplastic Cosserat model… More >

Study on Crack Propagation Behavior of Concrete with Water Fracture Interactions

    Wenhu Zhao1,2,*, Chengbin Du2, Xiaocui Chen2

The International Conference on Computational & Experimental Engineering and Sciences, Vol.25, No.2, pp. 1-1, 2023, DOI:10.32604/icces.2023.010048

Abstract Concrete structures such as offshore platforms, costal and port structures, dams, etc., are often submerged in water [1]. The water within concreter pores or cracks has a great influence on crack propagation behavior [2,3]. Several wedge-splitting experiments of compact specimens are conducted with a designed sealing device to study the water effects on concrete crack propagation. Different water pressures and different loading rates are considered loading on the pre-crack surfaces and waterproof strain gauges are stuck along the crack path to observe the fracture process during the experiments. Water pressure values on crack surfaces are recorded by diffused silicon water… More >

On the Fatigue Damage of GH4169 Based on Thermodynamic Entropy Generation

    Shuiting Ding1, Liangliang Zuo2, Guo Li2,*, Zhenlei Li3, Shuyang Xia2, Shaochen Bao3

The International Conference on Computational & Experimental Engineering and Sciences, Vol.25, No.1, pp. 1-1, 2023, DOI: 10.32604/icces.2023.09911

Abstract This paper presents the assessment of fatigue damage for GH4169 under cyclic loading based on thermodynamic entropy generation at elevated temperature. According to the second law of thermodynamics, fatigue crack propagation is an irreversible thermodynamic dissipative process in which damage accumulates and entropy generates with each cycle until fracture occurs. In this work, crack growth process is simulated by commercial finite element software ABAQUS, and the concept of cyclic entropy generation rate (CEGR) is proposed to present the entropy generation of the crack tip region in a single loading cycle, where the calculation of CEGR is dependent on the evolution… More >

Peridynamic Study on Fracture Mode and Crack Propagation Path of a Plate with Multiple Cracks Subjected to Uniaxial Tension

Zeyuan Zhou, Ming Yu, Xinfeng Wang*, Zaixing Huang

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.137, No.3, pp. 2593-2620, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.027384

Abstract How to simulate fracture mode and crack propagation path in a plate with multiple cracks is an attractive but dicult issue in fracture mechanics. Peridynamics is a recently developed nonlocal continuum formulation that can spontaneously predict the crack nucleation, branch and propagation in materials and structures through a meshfree discrete technique. In this paper, the peridynamic motion equation with boundary traction is improved by simplifying the boundary transfer functions. We calculate the critical cracking load and the fracture angles of the plate with multiple cracks under uniaxial tension. The results are consistent with those predicted by classical fracture mechanics. The… More > Graphic Abstract

Distribution of Partial Arc Propagation Path on Insulator and Its Discrimination Method

    Zhibo Song1,*, Hao Yang1, Wei Shen2, Yixin Ren1, Yawei Li3, Jianlong Ma1

    Energy Engineering, Vol.120, No.9, pp. 2097-2113, 2023, DOI:10.32604/ee.2023.029115

Abstract Pollution flashover is one of the major insulation accidents that can occur in modern power systems. If the local arc is not sufficiently elongated by the creepage distance, the flashover performance of the insulator will decrease. The insulator structure and equivalent salt deposition density (ESDD) are the main factors affecting the arc path and length. To investigate the forms of arc paths under different insulator structures and their influence on flashover characteristics, a platform for recording arc paths is established. This study presents a method to identify the pattern and distribution of insulator arc paths based on the effect of… More >
