CDR2IMG: A Bridge from Text to Image in Telecommunication Fraud Detection

    Zhen Zhen1, Jian Gao1,2,*

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.47, No.1, pp. 955-973, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.039525

Abstract Telecommunication fraud has run rampant recently worldwide. However, previous studies depend highly on expert knowledge-based feature engineering to extract behavior information, which cannot adapt to the fast-changing modes of fraudulent subscribers. Therefore, we propose a new taxonomy that needs no hand-designed features but directly takes raw Call Detail Records (CDR) data as input for the classifier. Concretely, we proposed a fraud detection method using a convolutional neural network (CNN) by taking CDR data as images and applying computer vision techniques like image augmentation. Comprehensive experiments on the real-world dataset from the 2020 Digital Sichuan Innovation Competition show that our proposed… More >

Kexin Zhang, Xinyuan Shen, Longsheng Bao, He Liu*

    Structural Durability & Health Monitoring, Vol.17, No.2, pp. 131-158, 2023, DOI:10.32604/sdhm.2023.023431

Abstract In this paper, the construction process of a cable-stayed bridge with corrugated steel webs was monitored. Moreover, the end performance of the bridge was verified by load test. Owing to the consideration of the bridge structure safety, it is necessary to monitor the main girder deflection, stress, construction error and safety state during construction. Furthermore, to verify whether the bridge can meet the design requirements, the static and dynamic load tests are carried out after the completion of the bridge. The results of construction monitoring show that the stress state of the structure during construction is basically consistent with the… More >

    V. Swetha*, G. Vadivu

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.37, No.1, pp. 707-726, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.035483

Abstract Every year, the number of women affected by breast tumors is increasing worldwide. Hence, detecting and segmenting the cancer regions in mammogram images is important to prevent death in women patients due to breast cancer. The conventional methods obtained low sensitivity and specificity with cancer region segmentation accuracy. The high-resolution standard mammogram images were supported by conventional methods as one of the main drawbacks. The conventional methods mostly segmented the cancer regions in mammogram images concerning their exterior pixel boundaries. These drawbacks are resolved by the proposed cancer region detection methods stated in this paper. The mammogram images are classified… More >

    D. Ribeiro1,*, B. Costa2, P. Montenegro2, R. Calçada2

The International Conference on Computational & Experimental Engineering and Sciences, Vol.24, No.1, pp. 1-1, 2022, DOI:10.32604/icces.2022.08682

Abstract The present article focuses on the evaluation of the dynamic behaviour of a centenary steel arch bridge, located in Portugal, under light railway traffic loads. The work aims to assess the dynamic behaviour of the bridge subjected to an alternative type of railway vehicle, more specifically, a typical underground vehicle that is currently in service in the Lisbon Metro. The dynamic response of the system has been evaluated using two distinct methodologies, namely a moving loads model and a vehicle-bridge interaction model. To achieve this goal, finite element (FE) models from both the bridge and the vehicle have been developed… More >

Abstract Background: The selection of Marek’s disease (MD)-resistant breeds in Partridge Shank chicken, a popular local chicken breed in Henan Province of China, has practical value. We hypothesized that the two polymorphic sites (rs14527240 located in SMOC1 and GGaluGA156129 located in PTPN3) related to MD resistance in White Leghorn chickens are also applicable to Partridge Shank chickens. Methods: In this experiment, we screened 10 live hens and 2 live roosters with the double GG genotype by genotyping the two sites from 6500 Partridge Shank chickens. Nineteen one-day-old chicks with the double GG genotype were obtained by artificial insemination. Seventy-two one-day-old chickens… More >

    Energy Engineering, Vol.120, No.4, pp. 1045-1065, 2023, DOI:10.32604/ee.2023.023770

Abstract Aiming at the problems of output voltage fluctuation and current total harmonic distortion (THD) in the front stage totem-pole bridgeless PFC of two-stage V2G (Vehicle to Grid) vehicle-mounted bi-directional converter, a fuzzy linear active disturbance rejection control strategy for V2G front-stage AC-DC power conversion system is proposed. Firstly, the topological working mode of the totem-pole bridgeless PFC is analyzed, and the mathematical model is established. Combined with the system model and the linear active disturbance rejection theory, a double closed-loop controller is designed with the second-order linear active disturbance rejection control as the voltage outer loop and PI control as… More > Graphic Abstract

    Aliasghar Azma1, Ramin Kiyanfar2, Yakun Liu1,*, Masoumeh Azma3,*, Di Zhang1, Ze Cao1, Zhuoyue Li1

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.75, No.1, pp. 1711-1733, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.036680

Abstract Various regions are becoming increasingly vulnerable to the increased frequency of floods due to the recent changes in climate and precipitation patterns throughout the world. As a result, specific infrastructures, notably bridges, would experience significant flooding for which they were not intended and would be submerged. The flow field and shear stress distribution around tandem bridge piers under pressurized flow conditions for various bridge deck widths are examined using a series of three-dimensional (3D) simulations. It is indicated that scenarios with a deck width to pier diameter (Ld/p) ratio of 3 experience the highest levels of turbulent disturbance. In addition,… More >

Abstract The automatically defect detection method using vision inspection is a promising direction. In this paper, an efficient defect detection method for detecting surface damage to cables on a cable-stayed bridge automatically is developed. A mechanism design method for the protective layer of cables of a bridge based on vision inspection and diameter measurement is proposed by combining computer vision and diameter measurement techniques. A detection system for the surface damages of cables is de-signed. Images of cable surfaces are then enhanced and subjected to threshold segmentation by utilizing the improved local grey contrast enhancement method and the improved maximum correlation… More >

Finite Element Simulation of Temperature Variations in Concrete Bridge Girders

    Hongzhi Liu1, Shasha Wu1, Yongjun Zhang2,*, Tongxu Hu2

    FDMP-Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing, Vol.19, No.6, pp. 1551-1572, 2023, DOI:10.32604/fdmp.2023.024430

Abstract The internal temperature of cast-in-place concrete bridges undergoes strong variations during the construction as a result of environmental factors. In order to determine precisely such variations, the present study relies on the finite element method, used to model the bridge box girder section and simulate the internal temperature distribution during construction. The numerical results display good agreement with measured temperature values. It is shown that when the external temperature is higher, and the internal and external temperature difference is relatively small, the deviation of the fitting line from existing specifications (Chinese specification, American specification, New Zealand specification) is relatively large… More >

Yu Zhang, Zhihua Xiong*, Zhuoxi Liang, Jiachen She, Chicheng Ma

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.136, No.1, pp. 447-469, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.022699

Abstract A huge number of old arch bridges located in rural regions are at the peak of maintenance. The health monitoring technology of the long-span bridge is hardly applicable to the small-span bridge, owing to the absence of technical resources and sufficient funds in rural regions. There is an urgent need for an economical, fast, and accurate damage identification solution. The authors proposed a damage identification system of an old arch bridge implemented with a machine learning algorithm, which took the vehicle-induced response as the excitation. A damage index was defined based on wavelet packet theory, and a machine learning sample… More >
