    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.58, No.3, pp. 727-760, 2019, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2019.04454

Abstract With the development of society and the exhaustion of fossil energy, researcher need to identify new alternative energy sources. Nuclear energy is a very good choice, but the key to the successful application of nuclear technology is determined primarily by the behavior of nuclear materials in reactors. Therefore, we studied the radiation performance of the fusion material reduced activation ferritic/martensitic (RAFM) steel. The main novelty of this paper are the statistical analysis of RAFM steel data sets through related statistical analysis and the formula derivation of the gradient descent method (GDM) which combines the gradient descent search strategy of the… More >

A Privacy-Preserving Algorithm for Clinical Decision-Support Systems Using Random Forest

    Alia Alabdulkarim1, Mznah Al-Rodhaan2, Yuan Tian*,3, Abdullah Al-Dhelaan2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.58, No.3, pp. 585-601, 2019, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2019.05637

Abstract Clinical decision-support systems are technology-based tools that help healthcare providers enhance the quality of their services to satisfy their patients and earn their trust. These systems are used to improve physicians’ diagnostic processes in terms of speed and accuracy. Using data-mining techniques, a clinical decision support system builds a classification model from hospital’s dataset for diagnosing new patients using their symptoms. In this work, we propose a privacy-preserving clinical decision-support system that uses a privacy-preserving random forest algorithm to diagnose new symptoms without disclosing patients’ information and exposing them to cyber and network attacks. Solving the same problem with a… More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.58, No.2, pp. 463-491, 2019, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2019.03816

Abstract The accuracy of predicting the Producer Price Index (PPI) plays an indispensable role in government economic work. However, it is difficult to forecast the PPI. In our research, we first propose an unprecedented hybrid model based on fuzzy information granulation that integrates the GA-SVR and ARIMA (Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average Model) models. The fuzzy-information-granulation-based GA-SVR-ARIMA hybrid model is intended to deal with the problem of imprecision in PPI estimation. The proposed model adopts the fuzzy information-granulation algorithm to pre-classification-process monthly training samples of the PPI, and produced three different sequences of fuzzy information granules, whose Support Vector Regression (SVR) machine… More >

Binary Image Steganalysis Based on Distortion Level Co-Occurrence Matrix

    Junjia Chen1, Wei Lu1,2,*, Yuileong Yeung1, Yingjie Xue1, Xianjin Liu1, Cong Lin1,3, Yue Zhang4

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.55, No.2, pp. 201-211, 2018, DOI:10.3970/cmc.2018.01781

Abstract In recent years, binary image steganography has developed so rapidly that the research of binary image steganalysis becomes more important for information security. In most state-of-the-art binary image steganographic schemes, they always find out the flippable pixels to minimize the embedding distortions. For this reason, the stego images generated by the previous schemes maintain visual quality and it is hard for steganalyzer to capture the embedding trace in spacial domain. However, the distortion maps can be calculated for cover and stego images and the difference between them is significant. In this paper, a novel binary image steganalytic scheme is proposed,… More >

Three-Dimensional Free Vibration Analysis of Sandwich FGM Cylinders with Combinations of Simply-Supported and Clamped Edges and Using the Multiple Time Scale and Meshless Methods

    Chih-Ping Wu, Ruei-Yong Jiang

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.46, No.1, pp. 17-56, 2015, DOI:10.3970/cmc.2015.046.017

Abstract An asymptotic meshless method using the differential reproducing kernel (DRK) interpolation and multiple time scale methods is developed for the three-dimensional (3D) free vibration analysis of sandwich functionally graded material (FGM) circular hollow cylinders with combinations of simply-supported and clamped edge conditions. In the formulation, we perform the mathematical processes of nondimensionalization, asymptotic expansion and successive integration to obtain recurrent sets of motion equations for various order problems. Classical shell theory (CST) is derived as a first-order approximation of the 3D elasticity theory, and the motion equations for higher-order problems retain the same differential operators as those of CST, although… More >

Sensitivity of Dynamic Response of a Simply Supported Functionally Graded Magneto-electro-elastic Plate to its Elastic Parameters

    G. Q. Xie1,2, M. X. Chi1

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.44, No.2, pp. 123-140, 2014, DOI:10.3970/cmc.2014.044.123

Abstract Dynamic response sensitivity of a simply supported functionally graded magneto-electro-elastic plates have been studied by combining analytical method with finite element method. The functionally graded material parameters are assumed to obey exponential law in the thickness direction. A series solution of double trigonometric function agreed with the simply supported boundary condition is adopted in the plane of the plate and finite element method is used across the thickness of the plate. The finite element model is established based on energy variational principle. The coupled electromagnetic dynamic characteristics of a simply supported functionally graded magneto- electro-elastic plate are decided by its… More >
