THE STUDY OF TEMPERATURE PROFILE INSIDE WAX DEPOSITION LAYER OF WAXY CRUDE OIL IN PIPELINE

Zhen Tiana,*, Wenbo Jina, Lei Wangb, Zhi Jinc

Frontiers in Heat and Mass Transfer, Vol.5, pp. 1-8, 2014, DOI:10.5098/hmt.5.5

Abstract Taking the axial heat conduction of wax deposition layer into account, a two-dimensional heat transfer model of calculating the temperature profile inside wax deposition layer was deduced and established based on the energy balance equation, the finite difference method was used to solve this model, and the influence of axial heat conduction on the distribution law of temperature profile inside the wax deposition layer under different boundary conditions and thickness were discussed. The results showed that: Temperature profile inside wax deposition layer in middle region of testing pipe section was mainly influenced by axial heat conduction under boundary conditions of… More >

Influence of Logging Instrument Drag on Temperature Distribution in Horizontal Gas Wells

Xingkai Zhang, Xuan Zhang, Ruiquan Liao*

    FDMP-Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing, Vol.16, No.3, pp. 501-512, 2020, DOI:10.32604/fdmp.2020.09012

Abstract In order to clarify the influence of the instrument’s own drag on the temperature distribution in the horizontal gas wellbore in temperature logging. By constructing an indoor gas-liquid two-phase horizontal tube flow platform, the effects of the drag speed of the instrument on the temperature distribution in the wellbore were studied in the single-phase gas and gas-liquid two phases. In addition, during the process of instrument dragging, the influence of different perforation cluster opening methods and wellbore inclination on temperature distribution was also studied. The results show that the temperature fluctuation is reduced at higher drag speeds; Under a certain… More >

Coupled Thermo-Mechanical Analysis of One-Layered and Multilayered Isotropic and Composite Shells

    S. Brischetto1, E. Carrera2

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.56, No.3, pp. 249-302, 2010, DOI:10.3970/cmes.2010.056.249

Abstract This work considers the fully coupled thermo-mechanical analysis of one-layered and multilayered isotropic and composite shells. The temperature is assumed a primary variable as the displacement; it is therefore directly obtained from the model and this feature permits the temperature field to be evaluated through the thickness direction. Three problems are analyzed: - static analysis of shells with imposed temperature on the external surfaces; - static analysis of shells subjected to a mechanical load, with the possibility of considering the temperature field effects; - a free vibration problem, with the evaluation of the temperature field effects. In the first problem,… More >

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.1, No.2, pp. 1-6, 2000, DOI:10.3970/cmes.2000.001.161

Abstract To investigate the solution convection in the rotational Bridgman method, both flow patterns and temperature distributions were calculated by solving three equations in 3-dimensional analysis: Navier-Stokes, continuity and energy. We focused on the relationship between ampoule rotational rate and temperature distribution in the growth solution reservoir. In the 3-dimensional model, In-Ga-Sb solution was put between GaSb seed and feed crystals, where seed and feed crystals were cylindrical in shape, and the In-Ga-Sb solution was semi-cylindrical. The ampoule rotational rate was changed in a range of 0 to 100 rpm. By increasing the ampoule rotational rate, the flow velocity in the… More >
