    Abstract Job insecurity has been recognized for its negative effect on employee performance. Nevertheless, this study argues that, under the threat of job insecurity, employees may also be likely to seek to reduce the threat by proactively crafting their tasks and improving performance.     Influence of Leaders’ Loneliness on Voice-Taking: The Role of Social SelfEfficacy and Performance Pressure

    Abstract This paper attempts to unlock how and when leaders’ loneliness influences their voice-taking behavior in the workplace by integrating the regulatory loop model of loneliness and the affect theory of social exchange. Through collecting a daily diary study of 87 paired leader-follower samples from two electronics industry companies based in Guangzhou, China, this study finds that (1) leaders’ loneliness has a significant negative impact on social self-efficacy and voice-taking behavior; (2) leaders’ social self-efficacy mediates the relationship between their loneliness and voice-taking behavior; (3) performance pressure moderates the relationship between leaders’ loneliness and voice-taking behavior; and, (4) the indirect effect… More >

    Abstract Based on social cognitive career theory, this research examined a chained mediation model for the relations between proactive personality, career success criteria clarity, career decision-making self-efficacy and affective wellbeing. A two-wave survey study was conducted among Chinese graduating students (N = 235). The results showed that proactive personality (measured at time 1), career success criteria clarity (measured at time 1), and career decisionmaking self-efficacy (measured at time 2) positively related to affective well-being respectively.     Abstract This study aims to understand how leader narcissism predicts employees’ organizational citizenship behaviors to supervisor (OCB-S). Based on the transactional model of stress, we argue that perceived leader narcissism triggers employees’ OCB-S through hindrance stress. We also consider how employees’ self-monitoring moderates the relationship between perceived leader narcissism and OCB-S.     Abstract Flashback, related to the traumatic event, is a prominent symptom of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The dual representation theory (DRT) of PTSD emphasizes that the weakened contextual representation (C-rep), the enhanced sensory representation (S-rep) and the loss of connection between C-rep and S-rep play an important role in the formation and retrieval of flashback. DRT proposes that cognitive intervention tasks which inhibit S-rep or enhance C-rep can reduce flashbacks. And many studies have proved this theoretical hypothesis.     Community Violence Exposure, Experiential Avoidance and Depression in Chinese Adolescents

    Abstract This study aimed to investigate the link between community violence exposure, experiential avoidance and depression among Chinese adolescents. A total of 468 middle school students from China completed the Survey of Children’s Exposure to Community Violence, Acceptance and Action Questionnaire-Second Edition (AAQ-II) and Children’s Depression Inventory (CDI). The results suggested that the depression was positively correlated with the level of community violence exposure and experiential avoidance, and community violence exposure was positively correlated with experiential avoidance.     Abstract Based on social cognitive career theory, this study examined career success criteria clarity and career decision-making self-efficacy as mediators in the relationship between career exploration and affective well-being. Data were collected from 475 emerging adults in their early career stages in China. The results showed that both career success criteria clarity and career decision-making self-efficacy mediated the relationship between career exploration and affective well-being.     The Interactive Effect of Proactive Personality and Career Exploration on Graduating Students’ Well-Being in School-to-Work Transition

    Abstract Based on basic psychological needs theory of self-determination theory, this study investigates the interaction effect of proactive personality and career exploration on well-being for graduating students during school-to-work transition. Using a survey sample of 216 graduating students in China, we found that: 1) Proactive personality had a positive relationship with well-being. 2) Career decision-making self-efficacy mediated the relationship between proactive personality and well-being. 3) Career exploration negatively moderated the relationship between proactive personality and career decision-making selfefficacy.
