A Survey and Systematic Categorization of Parallel K-Means and Fuzzy-C-Means Algorithms

    Ahmed A. M. Jamel1,∗, Bahriye Akay2,†

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.34, No.5, pp. 259-281, 2019, DOI:10.32604/csse.2019.34.259

Abstract Parallel processing has turned into one of the emerging fields of machine learning due to providing consistent work by performing several tasks simultaneously, enhancing reliability (the presence of more than one device ensures the workflow even if some devices disrupted), saving processing time and introducing low cost and high-performance computation units. This research study presents a survey of parallel K-means and Fuzzy-c-means clustering algorithms based on their implementations in parallel environments such as Hadoop, MapReduce, Graphical Processing Units, and multi-core systems. Additionally, the enhancement in parallel clustering algorithms is investigated as hybrid approaches in which K-means and Fuzzy-c-means clustering algorithms… More >

Resource Management in Cloud Computing with Optimal Pricing Policies

    Haiyang Zhang1, Guolong Chen2, Xianwei Li2,3,*

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.34, No.4, pp. 249-254, 2019, DOI:10.32604/csse.2019.34.249

Abstract As a new computing paradigm, cloud computing has received much attention from research and economics fields in recent years. Cloud resources can be priced according to several pricing options in cloud markets. Usage-based and reserved pricing schemes are commonly adopted by leading cloud service providers (CSPs) such as Amazon and Google. With more and more CSPs entering cloud computing markets, the pricing of cloud resources is an important issue that they need to consider. In this paper, we study how to segment cloud resources using hybrid pricing schemes in order to obtain the maximum revenue by means of optimal pricing… More >

R&D Investment Enhance the Financial Performance of Company Driven by Big Data Computing and Analysis

    Erna Qi1,∗, Min Deng2

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.34, No.4, pp. 237-248, 2019, DOI:10.32604/csse.2019.34.237

Abstract The application of computer technology, especially the emergence of some statistical software and graphic presentation technology, has enabled many areas of research that require a large amount of data analysis. This paper discusses the relationship between R&D investment and corporate financial performance, and further studies the effect of environmental regulations on this relationship through these technologies. The unbalanced panel data of listed companies from 2007 to 2016 were used as a sample, and then corresponding regression modelswere established through logical reasoning. Empirical analysis has found that there is an inverted U-shaped relationship between R&D investment and company financial performance, and… More >

Personalised Product Recommendation Model Based on User Interest

    Jitao Zhang

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.34, No.4, pp. 231-236, 2019, DOI:10.32604/csse.2019.34.231

Abstract The scale of e-commerce systems is increasing and more and more products are being offered online. However, users must find their own desired products among a large amount of unrelated information, which makes it increasingly difficult for them to make a purchase. In order to solve this problem of information overload, and effectively assist e-commerce users to shop easily and conveniently, an e-commerce personalized recommendation system technology has been proposed. This paper introduces the design and implementation of a personalized product recommendation model based on user interest. The “shopping basket analysis” functional model centered on the Apriori algorithm uses the… More >

Ordering Method and Empirical Study on Multiple Factor Sensitivity of Group Social Attitudes Based on Entropy Theory

    Qin He1, Shuang Dong1,*, Yaxin Cheng1

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.34, No.4, pp. 225-230, 2019, DOI:10.32604/csse.2019.34.225

Abstract When studying the various factors affecting a group’s social attitudes, minor changes in a factor will easily cause changes to other factors due to their association and relevance to each other; therefore, such a factor is more sensitive, although there is a difference between sensitivity and importance. In order to comprehensively learn about the influence of multiple factors, explorations based on entropy theory have been conducted to determine the sensitivity of each factor, to specify the difference between the frequency and sensitivity priority of entropy theory, and to provide a method, a way of thinking, and a detailed basis for… More >

Optimization of the Dynamic Measure of Spillover Effect Based on Knowledge Graph

    Rui Hua1,2, Yongwen Bao3, Shengan Chen2, Ziyin Zhuang1,*

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.34, No.4, pp. 215-223, 2019, DOI:10.32604/csse.2019.34.215

Abstract This paper improves the dynamic Feder model based on the characteristics of knowledge production and separates the direct effect and spillover effect of R&D in order to determine the relationship between spillover effect of R&D and economic growth, and accurately measure it by examining Chinese provincial panel data from 2008–2016. The theoretical analysis shows that the spillover effect of R&D promotes economic growth. Empirical analysis using a combination of OLS, sysGMM, 2SLS and GLS shows that basic research and application research have significant spillover effects; the marginal revenue of the basic research is lower than that of the production sector,… More >

    Jianxun Deng1, Jing Chen2, Dingcheng Wang3

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.34, No.4, pp. 201-206, 2019, DOI:10.32604/csse.2019.34.201

Abstract In order to meet the needs of high-altitude glass curtain wall cleaning, a multi-suction sliding cleaning robot was designed. The sliding robot sucker, cleaning system, obstacle avoidance and rotation ability, walking circuit and mobile working principle of the cleaning robot were designed. This involved the analysis of the robot’s anti-rollover mechanics during adsorption, of robotic winds when working at height, and of anti-sliding mechanics during robot movement, in order to explore feasible ways to improve the robot’s adsorption performance. The relationship between the effective diameter D of the suction cup, the vacuum degree △ P, and the gravity G should… More >

Intelligent Power Compensation System Based on Adaptive Sliding Mode Control Using Soft Computing and Automation

    Qidan Zhua, Zhibo Yanga,*

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.34, No.4, pp. 179-189, 2019, DOI:10.32604/csse.2019.34.179

Abstract The approach power compensator system (APCS) plays a role in the automatic carrier landing system (ACLS), and the performance of the APCS is affected by the carrier air-wake in the final-approach . In this paper, the importance of the APCS is verified through the analysis of the signal flow chart of the ACLS. Hence, it is necessary to suppress the carrier air-wake in order to improve the anti-interference ability. The adaptive sliding mode control (ASMC) not only has better dynamic tracking performance compared to the nonlinear mode, but also can efficiently resist the disturbance caused by the carrier air-wake. The… More >
