Abstract Mobile adhoc networks have grown in prominence in recent years, and they are now utilized in a broader range of applications. The main challenges are related to routing techniques that are generally employed in them. Mobile Adhoc system management, on the other hand, requires further testing and improvements in terms of security. Traditional routing protocols, such as Adhoc On-Demand Distance Vector (AODV) and Dynamic Source Routing (DSR), employ the hop count to calculate the distance between two nodes. The main aim of this research work is to determine the optimum method for sending packets while also extending life time of… More >

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.46, No.1, pp. 687-699, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.035459

Abstract In a vehicular ad hoc network (VANET), a massive quantity of data needs to be transmitted on a large scale in shorter time durations. At the same time, vehicles exhibit high velocity, leading to more vehicle disconnections. Both of these characteristics result in unreliable data communication in VANET. A vehicle clustering algorithm clusters the vehicles in groups employed in VANET to enhance network scalability and connection reliability. Clustering is considered one of the possible solutions for attaining effectual interaction in VANETs. But one such difficulty was reducing the cluster number under increasing transmitting nodes. This article introduces an Evolutionary Hide… More >

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.36, No.2, pp. 1547-1560, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.030540

Abstract Over the last decade, mobile Adhoc networks have expanded dramatically in popularity, and their impact on the communication sector on a variety of levels is enormous. Its uses have expanded in lockstep with its growth. Due to its instability in usage and the fact that numerous nodes communicate data concurrently, adequate channel and forwarder selection is essential. In this proposed design for a Cognitive Radio Cognitive Network (CRCN), we gain the confidence of each forwarding node by contacting one-hop and second level nodes, obtaining reports from them, and selecting the forwarder appropriately with the use of an optimization technique. Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.34, No.3, pp. 1755-1767, 2022, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2022.026355

Abstract In recent times, Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) becomes a familiar research field owing to its applicability in distinct scenarios. MANET comprises a set of autonomous mobile nodes which independently move and send data through wireless channels. Energy efficiency is considered a critical design issue in MANET and can be addressed by the use of the clustering process. Clustering is treated as a proficient approach, which partitions the mobile nodes into groups called clusters and elects a node as cluster head (CH). On the other hand, the nature of wireless links poses security as a major design issue. Therefore, this… More >

    R. Rajasekar1,*, P. Sivakumar2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.33, No.1, pp. 117-131, 2022, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2022.023372

Abstract The Internet of vehicles and vehicular ad-hoc networks (VANET) offers numerous opportunities for managing the transportation problems effectively. The high mobility and wireless communication in VANET lead to adequate network topology modifications, resulting in network instability and insecure data communication. With an unsteady flow of traffic, vehicles are unevenly distributed in the geographical areas in practice. A new type 2 fuzzy logic-based secure clustering (T2FLSC) with cloud-based data dissemination scheme called the T2FLSC-CDD model for the VANET has been introduced for resolving this issue. The vehicles are dynamically clustered by the use of the T2FLSC technique, which elects the CHs… More >

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.35, No.5, pp. 335-345, 2020, DOI:10.32604/csse.2020.35.335

Abstract Researches in wireless mobile ad hoc networks have an inherent challenge of vulnerable diagnosis due to the diverse behaviour pattern of the vulnerable nodes causing heterogeneous vtype1, vtype2, vtupe3 and vtype4 faults. This paper proposes a protocol for the diagnosis of vulnerability nodes with threephases of clustering, vulnerable detection and vulnerable fault classification in wireless networks. This protocol employs the technique of probabilistic neural network for classification of vulnerable nodes and detects vulnerable nodes through timeout mechanism and vtype3, vtype4, vtype1, vtype2 nodes through the method of analysis variance. Network simulator NS-2.3.35 is employed for performance evaluation of the protocol. More >
