    Oncologie, Vol.22, No.2, pp. 53-63, 2020, DOI:10.32604/oncologie.2020.013660

Abstract Cervical cancer develops as cells transformation in the cervix of a female that connects the uterus to the vagina. This cancer may impact the columnal epithelial cells of the cervix and therefore can be expanded to the lymphatic and circulatory system (metastasize), sometimes the kidneys, liver, prostate, vagina, and rectum. Many of the cervical cancer patients survived by taking early prevention by undergoing a Pap Smear Test. However, the result of the test usually takes a few weeks which is extremely time-consuming especially at the government hospital. The purpose of this research was to study the detection and classification method… More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.65, No.1, pp. 171-192, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.011397

Abstract Gold metallic nanoparticles are generally used within a lab as a tracer, to uncover on the presence of specific proteins or DNA in a sample, as well as for the recognition of various antibiotics. They are bio companionable and have properties to carry thermal energy to tumor cells by utilizing different clinical approaches. As the cancer cells are very smaller so for the infiltration, the properly sized nanoparticles have been injected in the blood. For this reason, gold nanoparticles are very effective. Keeping in mind the above applications, in the present work a generalized model of blood flow containing gold… More >

    Molecular & Cellular Biomechanics, Vol.17, No.3, pp. 101-111, 2020, DOI:10.32604/mcb.2020.09595

Abstract Prostate cancer is the most common cancer among men beyond 50 years old, and ranked the second in mortality. The level of Prostate-specific antigen (PSA) in serum has been a routine biomarker for clinical assessment of the cancer development, which is detected mostly by antibody-based immunoassays. The proteolytic activity of PSA also has important functions. Here a genetically encoded biosensor based on fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) technology was developed to measure PSA activity. In vitro assay showed that the biosensor containing a substrate peptide ‘RLSSYYSGAG’ had 400% FRET change in response to 1 µg/ml PSA within 90 min, and… More >

Abstract The incidence of colorectal cancer (CRC) in China has increased in recent years. The mortality rate of CRC has become one of the highest among all cancers; CRC increasingly affects the health and quality of people’s lives. However, due to the insufficiency of medical resources in China, the workload on medical doctors has further increased. In the past few decades, the adult CRC mortality and morbidity rate dropped sharply, mainly because of CRC screening and removal of adenomatous polyps. However, due to the differences in polyp itself and the skills of endoscopists, the detection rate of polyps varies greatly. In… More >
