    Slim Ben Chaabane1,2,*, Anas Bushnag1

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.74, No.2, pp. 2839-2852, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.032760

Abstract A new model is proposed in this paper on color edge detection that uses the second derivative operators and data fusion mechanism. The second-order neighborhood shows the connection between the current pixel and the surroundings of this pixel. This connection is for each RGB component color of the input image. Once the image edges are detected for the three primary colors: red, green, and blue, these colors are merged using the combination rule. Then, the final decision is applied to obtain the segmentation. This process allows different data sources to be combined, which is essential to improve the image information… More >

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.135, No.1, pp. 779-794, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2022.022369

Abstract Computer-aided diagnosis based on image color rendering promotes medical image analysis and doctor-patient communication by highlighting important information of medical diagnosis. To overcome the limitations of the color rendering method based on deep learning, such as poor model stability, poor rendering quality, fuzzy boundaries and crossed color boundaries, we propose a novel hinge-cross-entropy generative adversarial network (HCEGAN). The self-attention mechanism was added and improved to focus on the important information of the image. And the hinge-cross-entropy loss function was used to stabilize the training process of GAN models. In this study, we implement the HCEGAN model for image color rendering… More > Graphic Abstract

Abstract Nowadays, the security of images or information is very important. This paper introduces a proposed hybrid watermarking and encryption technique for increasing medical image security. First, the secret medical image is encrypted using Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm. Then, the secret report of the patient is embedded into the encrypted secret medical image with the Least Significant Bit (LSB) watermarking algorithm. After that, the encrypted secret medical image with the secret report is concealed in a cover medical image, using Kekre’s Median Codebook Generation (KMCG) algorithm. Afterwards, the stego-image obtained is split into 16 parts. Finally, it is sent to… More >

    Dur-e-Jabeen1,*, Tahmina Khan2, Rumaisa Iftikhar1, Ali Akbar Siddique1, Samiya Asghar1

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.74, No.1, pp. 539-557, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.032393

Abstract In recent years, it has been evident that internet is the most effective means of transmitting information in the form of documents, photographs, or videos around the world. The purpose of an image compression method is to encode a picture with fewer bits while retaining the decompressed image’s visual quality. During transmission, this massive data necessitates a lot of channel space. In order to overcome this problem, an effective visual compression approach is required to resize this large amount of data. This work is based on lossy image compression and is offered for static color images. The quantization procedure determines… More >
