    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.66, No.2, pp. 1577-1594, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.012379

Abstract In the healthcare system, the Internet of Things (IoT) based distributed systems play a vital role in transferring the medical-related documents and information among the organizations to reduce the replication in medical tests. This datum is sensitive, and hence security is a must in transforming the sensational contents. In this paper, an Evolutionary Algorithm, namely the Memetic Algorithm is used for encrypting the text messages. The encrypted information is then inserted into the medical images using Discrete Wavelet Transform 1 level and 2 levels. The reverse method of the Memetic Algorithm is implemented when extracting a hidden message from the… More >

Taoze Sun, Wei Tan, Yujie Yang, Hongna Mu*

    Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany, Vol.90, No.1, pp. 171-178, 2021, DOI:10.32604/phyton.2020.013668

Abstract Pinus elliottii is an exotic afforestation pine extensively distributed in southern parts of China. In order to understand whether endophytic fungi can affect seedling growth of P. elliottii, Piriformospora indica (Pi), Funnelifcrmis mosseae (Fm), and Diversispora tortuosa (Dt) were inoculated respectively, and the non-inoculated group was set as control. The growth indexes, the contents of soluble sugar and soluble protein, and plant endogenous hormone levels in the leaves of P. elliottii, were analyzed. The results showed that Fm, Dt and Pi colonized the P. elliottii roots to form mycorrhizal structure and chlamydospores arranged in beads respectively. Three fungal inoculants exhibited… More >

    Priyanka Jha1, Swati Chahal2,3, Devendra Kumar Pandey2,3, Joginder Singh4, Ram Prasad5,*, Vijay Kumar2,3,*

    Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany, Vol.89, No.4, pp. 779-794, 2020, DOI:10.32604/phyton.2020.09421

Abstract The use of medicinal plants for different therapeutic values is well documented in African continent. African diverse biodiversity hotspots provide a wide range of endemic species, which ensures a potential medicinal value. The feasible conservation approach and sustainable harvesting for the medicinal species remains a huge challenge. However, conservation approach through different biotechnological tools such as micropropagation, somatic embryogenesis, synthetic seed production, hairy root culture, molecular markers based study and cryopreservation of endemic African medicinal species is much crucial. In this review, an attempt has been made to provide different in vitro biotechnological approaches for the conservation of African medicinal… More >

    Zhibin Zhang1,2,*, Ping Li1,3, Shuailing Zhao1,2, Zhimin Lv1,2, Fang Du1,2, Yajian An1,2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.66, No.1, pp. 1043-1056, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.012517

Abstract As the agricultural internet of things (IoT) technology has evolved, smart agricultural robots needs to have both flexibility and adaptability when moving in complex field environments. In this paper, we propose the concept of a vision-based navigation system for the agricultural IoT and a binocular vision navigation algorithm for smart agricultural robots, which can fuse the edge contour and the height information of rows of crop in images to extract the navigation parameters. First, the speeded-up robust feature (SURF) extracting and matching algorithm is used to obtain featuring point pairs from the green crop row images observed by the binocular… More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.66, No.1, pp. 779-791, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.010424

Abstract The application field of the Internet of Things (IoT) involves all aspects, and its application in the fields of industry, agriculture, environment, transportation, logistics, security and other infrastructure has effectively promoted the intelligent development of these aspects. Although the IoT has gradually grown in recent years, there are still many problems that need to be overcome in terms of technology, management, cost, policy, and security. We need to constantly weigh the benefits of trusting IoT products and the risk of leaking private data. To avoid the leakage and loss of various user data, this paper developed a hybrid algorithm of… More >

Emergency Prioritized and Congestion Handling Protocol for Medical Internet of Things

Sabeen Tahir*, Sheikh Tahir Bakhsh, Rayed AlGhamdi

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.66, No.1, pp. 733-749, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.013261

Abstract Medical Internet of Things (MIoTs) is a collection of small and energyefficient wireless sensor devices that monitor the patient’s body. The healthcare networks transmit continuous data monitoring for the patients to survive them independently. There are many improvements in MIoTs, but still, there are critical issues that might affect the Quality of Service (QoS) of a network. Congestion handling is one of the critical factors that directly affect the QoS of the network. The congestion in MIoT can cause more energy consumption, delay, and important data loss. If a patient has an emergency, then the life-critical signals must transmit with… More >

KNEMAG: Key Node Estimation Mechanism Based on Attack Graph for IoT Security

    Bichen Che1, Long Liu2,*, Huali Zhang1

    Journal on Internet of Things, Vol.2, No.4, pp. 145-162, 2020, DOI:10.32604/jiot.2020.010035

Abstract With the rapid development and widespread application of the IoT, the at-tacks against IoT vulnerabilities have become more complex and diverse. Most of the previous research focused on node vulnerability and its risk analysis. There is little information available about the importance of the location of the node in the system. Therefore, an estimation mechanism is proposed to assess the key node of the IoT system. The estimation of the key node includes two parts: one is the utilization relationship between nodes, and the other is the impact on the system after the node is conquered. We use the node… More >

    SOHEILA HASANIAN1, NOUR AMIRMOZAFARI2, AHMAD FARAJZADEH SHEIKH3,*, IRAJ MEHREGAN1

    BIOCELL, Vol.44, No.3, pp. 411-419, 2020, DOI:10.32604/biocell.2020.08976

Abstract Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) strains are the essential cause of infections in communities and hospitals. The present study was conducted to determine the molecular typing of MRSA, isolated from hospitalized patients, using the double-locus sequence typing (DLST). In total, 280 S. aureus isolated from clinical specimens by phenotypic (catalase, coagulase, DNase, oxacillin, vancomycin screening agar and antibiotic disk diffusion), and molecular methods (PCR for determining the mecA, vanA and nuc genes). The DLST and sequencing was performed for MRSA containing mecA. Out of 280 specimens, confirmed as Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus), 123 (43.9%) strains were MRSA. The highest resistance toward… More >
