    Abstract In a cyber-physical micro-grid system, wherein the control functions are executed through open communication channel, stability is an important issue owing to the factors related to the time-delay encountered in the data transfer. Transfer of feedback variable as discrete data packets in communication network invariably introduces inevitable time-delays in closed loop control systems. This delay, depending upon the network traffic condition, inherits a time-varying characteristic; nevertheless, it adversely impacts the system performance and stability.     Abstract Pomacea canaliculata is a common gastropod in freshwater habitats from Central and Northern Argentina, extending northwards into the Amazon basin. Several Platyhelminthes have been reported associated to P. canaliculata, sharing an intimate relationship with this gastropod host. The objectives of this study were to describe the symbiotic species assemblages associated to P. canaliculata in the study area, and to disclose differences among them. Samples were taken in three typical small streams and one artificial lentic lagoon, all connected with the Río de la Plata estuary.     Abstract In this study, three types of surface motion of wall motion actuators were proposed and used to control the Tollmien-Schlichting (T-S) wave in the laminar boundary layer of a plate.     Sustained Drug Release from Contact Lenses

    Abstract This paper focuses on the release of an ophthalmic drug (flurbiprofen) from a loaded copolymer where the drug is simultaneously dispersed in the polymeric matrix and entrapped in particles. The copolymer is based in 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate co-methacrylic acid and silicone is used to prepare the loaded particles. A mathematical model to simulate the drug release is proposed and a qualitative analysis is performed. In vitro experimental results are compared with simulation results. Contact lens made from the presented copolymer are expected to deliver drug at therapeutical levels for a few days. More >
