    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.45, No.2, pp. 1775-1787, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.031841

Abstract Next-generation cellular networks are expected to provide users with innovative gigabits and terabits per second speeds and achieve ultra-high reliability, availability, and ultra-low latency. The requirements of such networks are the main challenges that can be handled using a range of recent technologies, including multi-access edge computing (MEC), artificial intelligence (AI), millimeter-wave communications (mmWave), and software-defined networking. Many aspects and design challenges associated with the MEC-based 5G/6G networks should be solved to ensure the required quality of service (QoS). This article considers developing a complex MEC structure for fifth and sixth-generation (5G/6G) cellular networks. Furthermore, we propose a seamless migration… More >

    LiangJun Deng1, Hang Lei1, Zheng Yang1, WeiZhong Qian1,*, XiaoYu Li1, Hao Wu2, Sihao Deng3, RuChao Sha1, WeiDong Deng4

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.45, No.2, pp. 2155-2170, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.027680

Abstract In order to realize a general-purpose automatic formal verification platform based on WebAssembly technology as a web service (FVPS), which aims to provide an automated report of vulnerability detections, this work builds a Hyperledger Fabric blockchain runtime model. It proposes an optimized methodology of the functional equivalent translation from source program languages to formal languages. This methodology utilizes an external application programming interface (API) table to replace the source codes in compilation, thereby pruning the part of housekeeping codes to ease code inflation. Code inflation is a significant metric in formal language translation. Namely, minor code inflation enhances verification scale… More >

Corpus of Carbonate Platforms with Lexical Annotations for Named Entity Recognition

    Zhichen Hu1, Huali Ren2, Jielin Jiang1, Yan Cui4, Xiumian Hu3, Xiaolong Xu1,*

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.135, No.1, pp. 91-108, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2022.022268

Abstract An obviously challenging problem in named entity recognition is the construction of the kind data set of entities. Although some research has been conducted on entity database construction, the majority of them are directed at Wikipedia or the minority at structured entities such as people, locations and organizational nouns in the news. This paper focuses on the identification of scientific entities in carbonate platforms in English literature, using the example of carbonate platforms in sedimentology. Firstly, based on the fact that the reasons for writing literature in key disciplines are likely to be provided by multidisciplinary experts, this paper designs… More >

Covert Communication in Integrated High Altitude Platform Station Terrestrial Networks

    Zeke Wu1, Kefeng Guo2,*, Rui Liu1, Shibin Zhu1

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.135, No.1, pp. 583-598, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2022.023093

Abstract In recent years, Internet of Things (IoT) technology has emerged and gradually sprung up. As the needs of large-scale IoT applications cannot be satisfied by the fifth generation (5G) network, wireless communication network needs to be developed into the sixth generation (6G) network. However, with the increasingly prominent security problems of wireless communication networks such as 6G, covert communication has been recognized as one of the most promising solutions. Covert communication can realize the transmission of hidden information between both sides of communication to a certain extent, which makes the transmission content and transmission behavior challenging to be detected by… More > Graphic Abstract

Investigation on the Folding Mode and Deployment Process of an Inflatable Boarding Platform for the Marine Emergency Evacuation System

Chongyang Nie, Fankai Kong*, Huaqiu Ding, Hongli Pan

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.135, No.1, pp. 483-510, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2022.021083

Abstract The different folding and storage forms of an inflatable boarding platform will have a direct impact on the deployment effect of the marine emergency evacuation system. This paper proposes different folding and storage methods for an inflatable boarding platform in a marine emergency evacuation system. According to the difference between the fold line and the fold direction, the numerical models of a boarding platform with partial fold, “Z” type fold and inner spiral fold are established. The platform models with three folding modes are simulated by numerical simulation. According to the numerical results of the inflation process, the displacement changes… More > Graphic Abstract
