    Sepehr Soltani1, Ehsan Ghafourian2, Reza Salehi3, Diego Martín3,*, Milad Vahidi4

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.39, No.1, pp. 93-108, 2024, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2024.042693

Abstract For many years, researchers have explored power allocation (PA) algorithms driven by models in wireless networks where multiple-user communications with interference are present. Nowadays, data-driven machine learning methods have become quite popular in analyzing wireless communication systems, which among them deep reinforcement learning (DRL) has a significant role in solving optimization issues under certain constraints. To this purpose, in this paper, we investigate the PA problem in a -user multiple access channels (MAC), where transmitters (e.g., mobile users) aim to send an independent message to a common receiver (e.g., base station) through wireless channels. To this end, we first train… More >

    JUN SHEN1,#, HONGFANG MA2,#, YONGXIA CHEN3, JIANGUO SHEN1,*

    Oncology Research, Vol.31, No.6, pp. 955-966, 2023, DOI:10.32604/or.2023.029638

Abstract The process of lymphatic metastasis was proved to be associated with podoplanin-expressing macrophages in breast cancer (BC). This study aimed to investigate the role of the M2 phenotype of tumor-associated macrophages and mine the key M2 macrophages-related genes for lymph node metastasis in BC. We downloaded the GSE158399 dataset from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database, which includes transcriptomic profiles of individual cells from primary tumors, negative lymph nodes (NLNs), and positive lymph nodes (PLNs) of breast cancer patients. The cell subsets were identified by clustering analysis after quality control of the scRNA-seq using Seurat. The activation and migration capability… More >

Suitability and Sustainability of Rainwater Quality Monitoring System in Cistern for Domestic Use

    Kenedy A. Greyson*

Journal on Internet of Things, Vol.5, pp. 1-11, 2023, DOI:10.32604/jiot.2023.040255

Abstract Rainwater harvesting (RWH) systems have been the source of domestic water for many years and still becoming essential in many communities of developing countries. However, due to various reasons, there are several sources of contamination in the rainwater cistern systems. Dissolved chemicals from the roofing, storage, and conveyance materials, together with the suspended particulate matter from the airborne, are examples of water contamination. In this work, the water quality monitoring system has been designed and implemented. Chemical and physical parameters of water samples were collected from three locations using a data acquisition (DAQ) system and rainwater quality was analyzed using… More >

New Configurations of the Fuzzy Fractional Differential Boussinesq Model with Application in Ocean Engineering and Their Analysis in Statistical Theory

    Yu-Ming Chu1, Saima Rashid2,*, Shazia Karim3, Anam Sultan2

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.137, No.2, pp. 1573-1611, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.027724

Abstract The fractional-order Boussinesq equations (FBSQe) are investigated in this work to see if they can effectively improve the situation where the shallow water equation cannot directly handle the dispersion wave. The fuzzy forms of analytical FBSQe solutions are first derived using the Adomian decomposition method. It also occurs on the sea floor as opposed to at the functionality. A set of dynamical partial differential equations (PDEs) in this article exemplify an unconfined aquifer flow implication. This methodology can accurately simulate climatological intrinsic waves, so the ripples are spread across a large demographic zone. The Aboodh transform merged with the mechanism… More >

Improved Control in Single Phase Inverter Grid-Tied PV System Using Modified PQ Theory

Nur Fairuz Mohamed Yusof1, Dahaman Ishak2, Muhammad Ammirrul Atiqi Mohd Zainuri3,*, Muhammad Najwan Hamidi2, Zuhair Muhammed Alaas4, Mohamed Mostafa Ramadan Ahmed5

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.37, No.2, pp. 2441-2457, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.037778

Abstract Grid-connected reactive-load compensation and harmonic control are becoming a central topic as photovoltaic (PV) grid-connected systems diversified. This research aims to produce a high-performance inverter with a fast dynamic response for accurate reference tracking and a low total harmonic distortion (THD) even under nonlinear load applications by improving its control scheme. The proposed system is expected to operate in both stand-alone mode and grid-connected mode. In stand-alone mode, the proposed controller supplies power to critical loads, alternatively during grid-connected mode provide excess energy to the utility. A modified variable step incremental conductance (VS-InCond) algorithm is designed to extract maximum power… More >

Quantitative Parameters Analysis for Prenatally Echocardiographic Diagnosis of Atrioventricular Septal Defects

    Xiaoxue Zhou1, Tingyang Yang2, Ye Zhang1, Yanping Ruan1, Jiancheng Han1, Xiaowei Liu1, Ying Zhao1, Xiaoyan Gu1, Tingting Liu1, Hairui Wang1, Yihua He1,*

    Congenital Heart Disease, Vol.18, No.3, pp. 387-397, 2023, DOI:10.32604/chd.2023.029060

Abstract Background: Atrioventricular septal defects (AVSDs) are screened and diagnosed usually rely on the imaging characteristics of fetal echocardiography (FE). However, diagnosis on images is heavily depended on sonographers’ experience and the quantitative data are rarely studied. Objective: This study aimed to realize the prenatal diagnosis of AVSDs by analyzing the quantitative data on FE. Methods: One hundred and thirteen cardiac quantitative data was analyzed in 370 normal and 49 AVSDs fetuses retrospectively. The top six with the highest diagnostic accuracy rate were acquired according to the area under the curve (AUC), and the diagnostic value of six variables was analyzed.… More >

Adaptive Kernel Firefly Algorithm Based Feature Selection and Q-Learner Machine Learning Models in Cloud

    I. Mettildha Mary1,*, K. Karuppasamy2

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.46, No.3, pp. 2667-2685, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.031114

Abstract CC’s (Cloud Computing) networks are distributed and dynamic as signals appear/disappear or lose significance. MLTs (Machine learning Techniques) train datasets which sometime are inadequate in terms of sample for inferring information. A dynamic strategy, DevMLOps (Development Machine Learning Operations) used in automatic selections and tunings of MLTs result in significant performance differences. But, the scheme has many disadvantages including continuity in training, more samples and training time in feature selections and increased classification execution times. RFEs (Recursive Feature Eliminations) are computationally very expensive in its operations as it traverses through each feature without considering correlations between them. This problem can… More >
