    Yu Han1,*, Wenxian Zheng2, Guangjun Wen1, Chu Chu1, Jian Su3, Yibo Zhang4

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.60, No.2, pp. 795-812, 2019, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2019.05719

Abstract In recent years, Researchers have proposed the concept of Energy Harvesting Backscatter Wireless Networks (EHBWN). EHBWN usually consists of one sink and several backscatter nodes. Backscatter nodes harvest energy from their environment and communicate with sink through backscattering the carrier wave transmitted by sink. Although a certain amount of access protocols for Energy Harvesting Wireless Networks have been present, they usually do not take the sink’s receiver sensitivity into account, which makes those protocols unsuitable in practice. In this paper, we first give an analysis of the backscatter channel link budget and the relationship between the effective communication range and… More >

Rayleigh-Type Wave in A Rotated Piezoelectric Crystal Imperfectly Bonded on a Dielectric Substrate

    Guoquan Nie1, *, Menghe Wang1

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.59, No.1, pp. 257-274, 2019, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2019.04498

Abstract Propagation characteristics of Rayleigh-type wave in a piezoelectric layered system are theoretically investigated. The piezoelectric layer is considered as a cubic crystal with finite thickness rotated about Y-axis and is imperfectly bonded onto a semi-infinite dielectric substrate. The imperfect interface between the two constituents is assumed to be mechanically compliant and dielectrically weakly conducting. The exact dispersion relations for electrically open or shorted boundary conditions are obtained. The numerical results show that the phase velocity of Rayleigh-type wave is symmetric with respect to the cut orientation of 45。 and can achieve the maximum propagation speed in this orientation. The mechanical… More >

Abstract Balise system is one kind of high-rate point-mode data transmission equipment. It plays an indispensable role in Chinese Train Control System (CTCS), and it has been immigrated and widely used for passenger dedicated lines and high-speed lines. Thus, its working conditions directly affect train operation safety. However, the balise information transmission system (BITS) is based on the principle of electromagnetic induction, and the communication process is susceptible to external electromagnetic interference. Therefore, it is vital to study the influence of transient signal interference on the balise system. This paper builds the up-link model between the vehicle antena and the balise,… More >

    Yu Zhang1,2,*, Mengxing Huang1,2,*, Hao Wang3, Wenlong Feng1,2, Jieren Cheng1,2, Hui Zhou1,2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.58, No.1, pp. 287-306, 2019, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2019.03736

Abstract Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) tightly integrate cyber and physical components and transcend traditional control systems and embedded system. Such systems are often mission-critical; therefore, they must be high-assurance. High-assurance CPS require co-verification which takes a comprehensive view of the whole system to verify the correctness of a cyber and physical components together. Lack of strict multiple semantic definition for interaction between the two domains has been considered as an obstacle to the CPS co-verification. A Cyber/Physical interface model for hierarchical a verification of CPS is proposed. First, we studied the interaction mechanism between computation and physical processes. We further classify the… More >

    Xiaorui Zhang1,3,*, Jiali Duan1, Lifeng Zhu2, Ladislav Kavan3

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.57, No.3, pp. 505-519, 2018, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2018.01842

Abstract Puncture is a common operation in surgery, which involves all kinds of tissue materials with different geometry and mechanical properties. As a new cross-disciplinary research area, Virtual Surgery (VS) makes simulation of soft tissue in puncture operation possible in virtual environment. In this paper, we introduce a VS-based puncture system composed by three-layer soft tissue, simulated with spherical harmonic function (SHF), which is covered with a force mesh, constructed by mass spring model (MSM). The two models are combined together with a parameter of SHF named surface radius, which provides MSM with real-time deformation data needed in force calculation. Meanwhile,… More >

Abstract Quantum mechanics shows superiority than classical mechanics in many aspects and quantum entanglement plays an essential role in information processing and some computational tasks such as quantum teleportation (QT). QT was proposed to transmit the unknown states, in which EPR pairs, the entangled states, can be used as quantum channels. In this paper, we present two simple schemes for teleporting a product state of two arbitrary single-particle and an arbitrary two-particle pure entangled state respectively. Alice and Bob have shared an entangle state. Two Bell states are used as quantum channels. Then after Alice measuring her qubits and informing Bob… More >
