    Le Thi Diem My1, Chia-Nan Wang1, Nguyen Van Thanh2,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.73, No.2, pp. 4003-4015, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.030209

Abstract Fertilizer industry in Vietnam and globally have entered the saturation phase. With the growth rate slowing down, this poses challenges for the development impetus of the fertilizer industry in the next period. In fact, over the past few decades, Vietnam’s crop industry has abused excessive investment in chemical fertilizers, with organic fertilizers are rarely used or not at all, limiting crop productivity, increasing pests and diseases. To develop sustainable agriculture, Vietnam’s crop industry must limit the use of chemical fertilizers, increase the use of environmentally friendly organic and natural mineral fertilizers to produce clean agricultural products which is safe. Therefore,… More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.73, No.2, pp. 4211-4229, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.030115

Abstract The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the development of the global economy. As most developing and third world countries are heavily dependent on agriculture and agricultural imports, the agricultural supply chains (ASC) in all these countries are exposed to unprecedented risks following COVID-19. Therefore, it is vital to investigate the impact of risks and create resilient ASC organizations. In this study, critical risks associated with ASC were assessed using a novel Analytical Hierarchy Process based on spherical fuzzy sets (SF-AHP). The findings indicated that depending on the scope and scale of the organization, supply risks, demand risks, financial… More >

    Daqing Wu1,2, Jiye Cui1,*, Dan Li3, Romany Fouad Mansour4

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.34, No.3, pp. 1553-1569, 2022, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2022.028780

Abstract Under the fierce market competition and the demand of low-carbon economy, the freshness of fresh products directly determines the degree of customer satisfaction. Cold chain logistics companies must pay attention to the freshness and carbon emissions of fresh products to obtain better service development. In the cold chain logistics path optimization problem, considering the cost, product freshness and carbon emission environmental factors at the same time, based on the cost-benefit idea, a comprehensive cold chain vehicle routing problem optimization model is proposed to minimize the unit cost of product freshness and the carbon trading mechanism for calculating the cost of… More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.73, No.1, pp. 513-532, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.028211

Abstract Under the background of “Internet plus” rapid development, the agricultural logistics industry should apply information technology to every link of the agricultural product logistics industry chain. By making full use of the decision making module of the agricultural logistics information system, we can realize the full sharing of information and data resources, which makes the decision-making scheme of the agricultural logistics information system more optimized. In real economic society, the uncertainty and mismatch between the customer’s logistics service demand and the logistics service capability that the logistics service function provider can provide, that is, when the two information are asymmetric,… More >

Nguyen Van Thanh1, Nguyen Thi Kim Lan2,*, Syed Tam Husain1, Nguyen Hoang Hai1, Nguyen Viet Tinh1

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.72, No.2, pp. 4057-4068, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.026587

Abstract The 21st century is associated with the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and the organic agriculture trend, making the utilization of high-quality fertilizers, abundant nutritional content, economical, and no affect to environment pollution. According to the new concept, clean agricultural production and organic agricultural products are not allowed to excessively use synthetic chemicals such as chemical fertilizers, and plant protection drugs, but priority is to use manure, organic fertilizers, and natural mineral fertilizers. Fertilizer must meet the balanced nutritional requirements of crops, maintain, and improve the fertility of the ground, protect the surrounding ecosystem, and leave harmful effects in agricultural products, products… More >

Biomonitoring of endosulfan toxicity in human

    SANTOSH KUMAR KARN1, ADITYA UPADHYAY2, AWANISH KUMAR2,*

    BIOCELL, Vol.46, No.7, pp. 1771-1777, 2022, DOI:10.32604/biocell.2022.018845

Abstract Chemicals are comprehensively used worldwide to control herbs, weeds, pests, and other competing agents with various growing crops. The consumption of crops grown with these chemicals (even in small quantities) can upshot into accumulation in the human body. People can accidentally inhale these hazardous chemicals if they are in an area where they were applied. These chemicals can be ingested in a human with contaminated food and drinks. Ultimately it causes various adverse effects (chronic toxicity, teratogenic, mutagenic, carcinogenic effect, reproductive, and organ toxicity) on human health. Among the pool of these chemicals used as pesticides in the environment, exposure… More >

Development of Magnetite/Graphene Oxide Hydrogels from Agricultural Wastes for Water Treatment

    Hebat-Allah S. Tohamy, Mohamed El-Sakhawy, Samir Kamel*

    Journal of Renewable Materials, Vol.10, No.7, pp. 1889-1909, 2022, DOI: 10.32604/jrm.2022.019211

Abstract A novel magnetic hydrogel loaded with graphene oxide (GO) was developed in this study. Firstly, GO was prepared from bagasse through a single step via oxidation in the presence of ferrocene under muffled atmospheric conditions, followed by the loading of different amounts of magnetite onto GO via co-precipitation reaction of iron onto GO sheets. Finally, the 2-acrylamido-2-methyl-1-propane sulfonic acid was grafted onto carboxymethyl cellulose in the presence of magnetite GO and N, N′-methylenebisacrylamide as crosslinker yielded hydrogel. The structure, morphological, and thermal behavior of the prepared hydrogels were investigated. In addition, the adsorption performance of Ni(II) ions from aqueous media… More > Graphic Abstract

    Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany, Vol.91, No.5, pp. 915-927, 2022, DOI:10.32604/phyton.2022.018688

    Abstract

Under changing climate, trace elements like selenium (Se) have emerged as vital constituent of agro-ecosystems enabling crop plants to off-set the adverse effects of suboptimal growth conditions. The available form of selenium is important for boosting its bioavailability to crop plants having varied agro-botanical traits and root architectural systems. As compared to selenite, the selenate has a weaker soil bonding, higher absorption in the soil solution which results in a comparatively absorption by plant roots. Various factors including dry climate, high pH, optimal ambient air temperature, less accumulation of water, and low concentration of organic matter in the soil tend… More >
