    Qasim M. Zainel1, Murad B. Khorsheed2, Saad Darwish3,*, Amr A. Ahmed4

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.69, No.3, pp. 3813-3828, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2021.014759

Abstract Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) models succeed in vast domains. CNNs are available in a variety of topologies and sizes. The challenge in this area is to develop the optimal CNN architecture for a particular issue in order to achieve high results by using minimal computational resources to train the architecture. Our proposed framework to automated design is aimed at resolving this problem. The proposed framework is focused on a genetic algorithm that develops a population of CNN models in order to find the architecture that is the best fit. In comparison to the co-authored work, our proposed framework is concerned… More >

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.30, No.3, pp. 1049-1062, 2021, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2021.019730

Abstract Presently, the adoption of Internet of things(IOT)-related technologies in the Smart Farming domain is rapidly emerging. The increasing number of sensors used in diverse applications has provided a massive number of continuous, unbounded, rapid data and requires the management of distinct protocols, interfaces and intermittent connections. A low-cost, low-power, and low data-rate solution is proposed to fulfill the requirements of information monitoring for actual large-scale agricultural farms, which we will need pressingly in the future. This paper designs a heterogeneous data acquisition and control system for differentiated agricultural information monitoring terminal. Based on the IoT-CAN bus architecture, the system can… More >

Abstract Heart disease, which is also known as cardiovascular disease, includes various conditions that affect the heart and has been considered a major cause of death over the past decades. Accurate and timely detection of heart disease is the single key factor for appropriate investigation, treatment, and prescription of medication. Emerging technologies such as fog, cloud, and mobile computing provide substantial support for the diagnosis and prediction of fatal diseases such as diabetes, cancer, and cardiovascular disease. Cloud computing provides a cost-efficient infrastructure for data processing, storage, and retrieval, with much of the extant research recommending machine learning (ML) algorithms for… More >

An Attention Based Neural Architecture for Arrhythmia Detection and Classification from ECG Signals

    Nimmala Mangathayaru1,*, Padmaja Rani2, Vinjamuri Janaki3, Kalyanapu Srinivas4, B. Mathura Bai1, G. Sai Mohan1, B. Lalith Bharadwaj1

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.69, No.2, pp. 2425-2443, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2021.016534

Abstract Arrhythmia is ubiquitous worldwide and cardiologists tend to provide solutions from the recent advancements in medicine. Detecting arrhythmia from ECG signals is considered a standard approach and hence, automating this process would aid the diagnosis by providing fast, cost-efficient, and accurate solutions at scale. This is executed by extracting the definite properties from the individual patterns collected from Electrocardiography (ECG) signals causing arrhythmia. In this era of applied intelligence, automated detection and diagnostic solutions are widely used for their spontaneous and robust solutions. In this research, our contributions are two-fold. Firstly, the Dual-Tree Complex Wavelet Transform (DT-CWT) method is implied… More >

SVSF-Based Robust UGV/UAV Control/Tracking Architecture in Disturbed Environment

    Abdelatif Oussar1,*, Abdelmoumen Ferrag1, Mohamed Guiatni1, Mustapha Hamerlain2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.29, No.2, pp. 467-495, 2021, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2021.01000

Abstract This paper presents the design of a robust architecture for the tracking of an unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). To enhance the robustness of the ground vehicle in the face of external disturbances and handle the non-linearities due to inputs saturation, an integral sliding mode controller was designed for the task of trajectory tracking. Stabilization of the aerial vehicle is achieved using an integral-backstepping solution. Estimation of the relative position between the two agents was solved using two approaches: the first solution (optimal) is based on a Kalman filter (KF) the second solution (robust) uses… More >

Topology and Shape Optimization of 2-D and 3-D Micro-Architectured Thermoelastic Metamaterials Using a Parametric Level Set Method

    Ellie Vineyard1, Xin-Lin Gao2,*

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.127, No.3, pp. 819-854, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2021.015688

Abstract 2-D and 3-D micro-architectured multiphase thermoelastic metamaterials are designed and analyzed using a parametric level set method for topology optimization and the finite element method. An asymptotic homogenization approach is employed to obtain the effective thermoelastic properties of the multiphase metamaterials. The -constraint multi-objective optimization method is adopted in the formulation. The coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) and Poisson’s ratio (PR) are chosen as two objective functions, with the CTE optimized and the PR treated as a constraint. The optimization problems are solved by using the method of moving asymptotes. Effective isotropic and anisotropic CTEs and stiffness constants are obtained… More >

The Technical Design and Implementation of Cross-Platform Industrial Product Order System

    Yu Xue1,2,*, Xu Cai1, Shoubao Su2, Junxiang Han1, Romany F. Mansour3

    Journal of Cyber Security, Vol.3, No.1, pp. 1-10, 2021, DOI:10.32604/jcs.2021.016371

Abstract According to some data in the Industrial Purchasing Trends report released by China in 2017, we can see that e-commerce purchasing channels have ranked first among all industrial products purchasing channels in China compared with European and American countries. In addition, in the whole industrial product purchasing market, we can also see that both manufacturers and suppliers are making active e-commerce transformation, and some other Internet giants are also actively entering the industrial product e-commerce industry. But at present, the revenue of all kinds of subjects is still a lot of room for improvement compared to the United States industrial… More >

Design, Implementation and Verification of Topology Network Architecture of Smart Home Tree

    Youbang Guan1,2, Bong Jun Choi3,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.68, No.2, pp. 2399-2411, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2021.012365

Abstract Smart home technology provides consumers with network connectivity, automation or enhanced services for home devices. With the Internet of Things era, a vast data flow makes business platforms have to own the same computing power to match their business services. It achieves computing power through implementing big data algorithms deployed in the cloud data center. However, because of the far long geographical distance between the client and the data center or the massive data capacity gap, potentially high latency and high packet loss will reduce the usability of smart home systems if service providers deploy all services in the cloud… More >

    Issam Alhadid1, Hassan Tarawneh2, Khalid Kaabneh2, Ra’ed Masa’deh3, Nawaf N. Hamadneh4,*, Muhammad Tahir5, Sufian Khwaldeh1

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.28, No.2, pp. 321-336, 2021, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2021.014892

    Abstract

Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) is a style of software design where Web Services (WS) provide services to the other components through a communication protocol over a network. WS components are managed, updated, and rearranged at runtime to provide the business processes as SCs, which consist of a set of WSs that can be invoked in a specific order to fulfill the clients’ requests. According to the Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements, WS selection and composition are significant perspectives of research to meet the clients’ expectations. This paper presents an effective technique using SMFS that attempts to improve the WS selection… More >
