IMPACT OF CHEMICAL REACTION, SORET NUMBER AND HEAT SOURCE ON UNSTEADY MHD CASSON FLUID FLOW PAST VERTICAL SURFACE

    K.V. Chandra Sekhar*

Frontiers in Heat and Mass Transfer, Vol.19, pp. 1-8, 2022, DOI:10.5098/hmt.19.36

Abstract The current study explores heat and mass transfer analysis of unstable MHD boundary layer flow of electrically conducting Casson fluid near an infinite Perpendicular porous plate, moving with variable velocity. Mass diffusion equation was described by the homogenous first order chemical reaction. The equations controlling the flow converted into dimensionless form and solved by applying Laplace transform method and the expressions for velocity, temperature and concentration of the flow are acquired in exact form. To understand the physical insight of the problem a detailed study of involved parameters of the flow was done and explained More >

    Dolat Khan1, Gohar Ali1, Arshad Khan2, Ilyas Khan3,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.71, No.1, pp. 1025-1034, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.012635 - 03 November 2021

Abstract The basic objective of this work is to study the heat transfer of Casson fluid of non-Newtonian nature. The fluid is considered over a vertical plate such that the plate exhibits arbitrary wall shear stress at the boundary. Heat transfers due to exponential plate heating and natural convection are due to buoyancy force. Magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) analysis in the occurrence of a uniform magnetic field is also considered. The medium over the plate is porous and hence Darcy’s law is applied. The governing equations are established for the velocity and temperature fields by the usual Boussinesq… More >

    Silpisikha Goswamia,b, Dipak Sarmab

Frontiers in Heat and Mass Transfer, Vol.16, 2021, DOI:10.5098/hmt.16.12

Abstract This study includes the observation of electrically conducting non-Newtonian fluid flow through a vertical porous plate considering the effect of the induced magnetic field. Our approach is numerical to investigate how the variation of magnetic Prandtl number and Eckert number effect the flow profiles. Influence of Casson parameter and Hartmann number in the profiles is also observed and depicted in graphs. The rate of heat transfer, the rate of mass transfer and the skin friction are calculated and presented in tables. A significant effect of magnetic Prandtl number and Eckert number is observed. We compared More >

Frontiers in Heat and Mass Transfer, Vol.16, pp. 1-11, 2021, DOI:10.5098/hmt.16.5

Abstract In this paper, heat and mass transfer of MHD Casson fluid under radiation over an exponentially permeable stretching sheet with chemical reaction and Hall Effect investigated numerically. Suitable similarity transformations are used to convert the governing partial differential equations to nonlinear ordinary differential equations. Using a numerical technique named Keller box method the equations are then solved. Study of various effects such as chemical reaction, hall effect, suction /injection on magneto hydrodynamic Casson fluid along with radiation the heat source parameter, chemical reaction parameter, Schmidt number are tabulated for various parameters. Also local parameters are… More >

Abstract MHD Casson flow fluid over an inclined plate with aligned magnetic, Hall current and thermal radiation in the presence of Chemical reaction is examined. The governing equations are solved using perturbation method. The effects of various physical parameters like as chemical reaction parameter, radiation parameter, Casson parameter, Schmidt number, Grashof number, modified Grashof number, Prandtl number, magnetic parameter, inclined angle, Hall parameter and Aligned parameter are discussed for velocity, temperature and concentration. The skin-friction, Nusselt number and Sherwood number are also obtained and are shown in tabular form. More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.67, No.2, pp. 1385-1398, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2021.011986 - 05 February 2021

Abstract An emerging definition of the fractal-fractional operator has been used in this study for the modeling of Casson fluid flow. The magnetohydrodynamics flow of Casson fluid has cogent in a channel where the motion of the upper plate generates the flow while the lower plate is at a static position. The proposed model is non-dimensionalized using the Pi-Buckingham theorem to reduce the complexity in solving the model and computation time. The non-dimensional fractal-fractional model with the power-law kernel has been solved through the Laplace transform technique. The Mathcad software has been used for illustration of… More >

Abstract It is of high interest to study laminar flow with mass and heat transfer phenomena that occur in a viscoelastic fluid taken over a vertical plate due to its importance in many technological processes and its increased industrial applications. Because of its wide range of applications, this study aims at evaluating the solutions corresponding to Casson fluids’ oscillating flow using fractional-derivatives. As it has a combined mass-heat transfer effect, we considered the fluid flow upon an oscillatory infinite vertical-plate. Furthermore, we used two new fractional approaches of fractional derivatives, named AB (Atangana–Baleanu) and CF (Caputo–Fabrizio), More >

Kolli Vijayaa,* , G. Venkata Ramana Reddya

Frontiers in Heat and Mass Transfer, Vol.14, pp. 1-8, 2020, DOI:10.5098/hmt.14.12

Abstract Present investigation aims at analyzing the properties of heat and transport phenomena of thermal energy and species mass in a non-Darcy Casson fluid flow induced by a erected porous elongated surface considering the effect of non-linear radioactive heat, thermophorosis, first order chemical reaction, Newtonian heating, thermo diffusion, permeability and slip conditions. Influence of critical parameters are widely studied. By inducing the variables of similarity the basic boundary layer equations are transmuted into dimensionless equations and are resolved arithmetically using Runge – Kutta – Fehlberg shooting techniques method. The dominance of critical parameters against velocity, temperature, More >

Abstract Gold metallic nanoparticles are generally used within a lab as a tracer, to uncover on the presence of specific proteins or DNA in a sample, as well as for the recognition of various antibiotics. They are bio companionable and have properties to carry thermal energy to tumor cells by utilizing different clinical approaches. As the cancer cells are very smaller so for the infiltration, the properly sized nanoparticles have been injected in the blood. For this reason, gold nanoparticles are very effective. Keeping in mind the above applications, in the present work a generalized model… More >
