Kolli Vijayaa,* , G. Venkata Ramana Reddya

Frontiers in Heat and Mass Transfer, Vol.14, pp. 1-8, 2020, DOI:10.5098/hmt.14.12

Abstract Present investigation aims at analyzing the properties of heat and transport phenomena of thermal energy and species mass in a non-Darcy Casson fluid flow induced by a erected porous elongated surface considering the effect of non-linear radioactive heat, thermophorosis, first order chemical reaction, Newtonian heating, thermo diffusion, permeability and slip conditions. Influence of critical parameters are widely studied. By inducing the variables of similarity the basic boundary layer equations are transmuted into dimensionless equations and are resolved arithmetically using Runge – Kutta – Fehlberg shooting techniques method. The dominance of critical parameters against velocity, temperature, and concentration are explicated through… More >

Variables of similarity are induced to transmute partial differential equations into dimensionless equations and resolved numerically by elegant method bvp4c. To scrutinize the behavior of critical parameters on flow configurations graphs and table are portrayed. From graphical moments, it is analyzed that velocity of the liquid diminish for advanced values of non-Newtonian rheology parameter, magnetic… More >

Frontiers in Heat and Mass Transfer, Vol.16, 2021, DOI:10.5098/hmt.16.12

Abstract This study includes the observation of electrically conducting non-Newtonian fluid flow through a vertical porous plate considering the effect of the induced magnetic field. Our approach is numerical to investigate how the variation of magnetic Prandtl number and Eckert number effect the flow profiles. Influence of Casson parameter and Hartmann number in the profiles is also observed and depicted in graphs. The rate of heat transfer, the rate of mass transfer and the skin friction are calculated and presented in tables. A significant effect of magnetic Prandtl number and Eckert number is observed. We compared our results with some previous… More >

CASSON FLUID FLOW DUE TO STRETCHING SHEET WITH MAGNETIC EFFECT AND VARIABLE THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY

    M. Y. Dhangea,*, G. C. Sankada, Ishwar Maharudrappab

Frontiers in Heat and Mass Transfer, Vol.18, pp. 1-6, 2022, DOI:10.5098/hmt.18.36

Abstract The present paper investigates the impacts of heat transfer and magnetic field on the boundary layer flow of Casson fluid over a linearly stretching sheet. The researchers have introduced analytical and numerical solutions for the momentum and energy equations by transforming the equations into the system of ordinary differential equations with the aid of the similarity transformations technique. The velocity and temperature profiles for pertinent constraints like Casson fluid constraint, Chandrasekhar number, Prandtl number, and thermal conductivity are presented through graphs. The influence of the wall shear stress and the Prandtl number increases while the boundary layer thickness decreases. Further,… More >

    Bhagawan Singh Yadav, Sushila Choudhary

Frontiers in Heat and Mass Transfer, Vol.18, pp. 1-10, 2022, DOI:10.5098/hmt.18.18

Abstract The present study concentrates on squeeze MHD flow of Casson fluid between parallel plates surrounded by a porous medium. The influence of melting, viscous dissipation and thermal radiation on the heat transfer process is disclosed. The characteristics of mass transport are detected with chemical reactions. Suitable similarity transforms are used to convert the partial differential equations into a system of ordinary differential equations. The transformed equations are solved using the bvp4c matlab solver with the shooting method. Our present study concluded that fluid velocity has direct relation with melting parameter while it is reciprocally related to squeezing parameter and reverse… More >

    Mohammed Z. Swalmeh*

Frontiers in Heat and Mass Transfer, Vol.18, pp. 1-8, 2022, DOI:10.5098/hmt.18.12

Abstract Heat transfer characteristics for free convection boundary layer flow with a Ferro-hybrid nanofluid in the Casson field, over a stretching sheet, have been numerically investigated and tested. The constant wall temperature boundary condition was applied in this study. The dimensional governing equations were transformed to partial differential equations (PDEs) and then solved numerically by an implicit finite difference scheme known as Keller box method. The Numerical findings were presented by tabular and figures by using MATLAB program. These numerical findings were gained according to considering and analyzing the impacts of Ferro-hybrid nanofluids Casson parameters, on the local skin friction coefficient… More >

Muhammad Amin Murada,*, Faraidun Hamasalhb, Hajar F. Ismaelc

Frontiers in Heat and Mass Transfer, Vol.20, pp. 1-8, 2023, DOI:10.5098/hmt.20.7

Abstract In this paper, we study the behavior of heat transfer of Casson fluid at the magnetohydrodynamic stagnation point with thermal radiation over a continuous moving sheet. The appropriate similarity transfer is used to transfer the governing differential equations into the ordinary differential equation and then solved by the collocation method based on spline function. The obtained results are investigated with the existing literature by direct comparison. We found that an increment in the value of the shrinking parameter, magnetic parameter, and Casson fluid parameter enhances the velocity distribution and depreciate the temperature profile both Casson and Newtonian fluids. Furthermore, the… More >
