    Abstract The research was conducted with the aim to identify the variability in situ of wild and semi-wild morphotypes of Capsicum spp. that were found growing in different places of Tabasco and the north of Chiapas States. Morphotypes included “Amashito” (five types), “Pico de paloma” (two types), “Garbanzo”, “Ojo de sapo”, “Ojo de cangrejo”, “Colmillo de lagarto” and “Corazón de pollo”.     Characterization of Manmade and Recycled Cellulosic Fibers for Their Application in Building Materials

    Abstract The aim of this study was to characterize two types of cellulosic fibers obtained from bleached wood pulp and unbleached recycled waste paper with different cellulose content (from 47.4 percent up to 82 percent), to compare and to analyze the potential use of the recycled fibers for building application, such as plastering mortar. Changes in the chemical composition, cellulose crystallinity and degree of polymerization of the fibers were found.     Abstract A common sample geometry used to study shear localization is the "tophat": an axi-symmetric sample with an upper "hat" portion and a lower "brim" portion.     Abstract The aim of the current research was to clone and to characterize the partial 66 kDa streptavidin-binding peptide (SBP) found in the germinated embryos of Pisum sativum L. var. Alaska. The pea (P. sativum var. Alaska) embryos possess prominent 66 kDa SBPs that gradually disappeared after few hours of germination in germinated embryos, but not in the cotyledons.
