    Y. C. A. Padmanabha Reddy1, Shyam Sunder Reddy Kasireddy2, Nageswara Rao Sirisala3, Ramu Kuchipudi4, Purnachand Kollapudi5,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.74, No.3, pp. 6389-6409, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.034072

Abstract The rise of social networking enables the development of multilingual Internet-accessible digital documents in several languages. The digital document needs to be evaluated physically through the Cross-Language Text Summarization (CLTS) involved in the disparate and generation of the source documents. Cross-language document processing is involved in the generation of documents from disparate language sources toward targeted documents. The digital documents need to be processed with the contextual semantic data with the decoding scheme. This paper presented a multilingual cross-language processing of the documents with the abstractive and summarising of the documents. The proposed model is represented as the Hidden Markov… More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.74, No.3, pp. 4729-4745, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.033020

Abstract Continuous improvements in very-large-scale integration (VLSI) technology and design software have significantly broadened the scope of digital signal processing (DSP) applications. The use of application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs) and programmable digital signal processors for many DSP applications have changed, even though new system implementations based on reconfigurable computing are becoming more complex. Adaptable platforms that combine hardware and software programmability efficiency are rapidly maturing with discrete wavelet transformation (DWT) and sophisticated computerized design techniques, which are much needed in today’s modern world. New research and commercial efforts to sustain power optimization, cost savings, and improved runtime effectiveness have been initiated… More >

N×N Clos Digital Cross-Connect Switch Using Quantum Dot Cellular Automata (QCA)

    Amita Asthana1,*, Anil Kumar1, Preeta Sharan2

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.45, No.3, pp. 2901-2917, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.030548

Abstract Quantum dot cellular automata (QCA) technology is emerging as a future technology which designs the digital circuits at quantum levels. The technology has gained popularity in terms of designing digital circuits, which occupy very less area and less power dissipation in comparison to the present complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) technology. For designing the routers at quantum levels with non-blocking capabilities various multi-stage networks have been proposed. This manuscript presents the design of the N×N Clos switch matrix as a multistage interconnecting network using quantum-dot cellular automata technology. The design of the Clos switch matrix presented in the article uses… More >

    Choon-Hong Tan1, Ah-Choo Koo1,*, Hawa Rahmat2, Wei-Fern Siew3, Alexius Weng-Onn Cheang3, Elyna Amir Sharji1

    International Journal of Mental Health Promotion, Vol.25, No.1, pp. 99-126, 2023, DOI:10.32604/ijmhp.2022.025004

Abstract The prevalence of mental health problems in both Malaysian and global workplaces has significantly increased due to the presence of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, globalization, technology advancement in Industry 4.0, and other contributing factors. The pervasiveness of the issue poses a huge challenge to improving the occupational safety and health (OSH) of workers in various industries, especially in the digital industry. The emergence of the innovative industry is evident mainly due to the rapid development of Industry 4.0 and the relevant demands of multiple businesses in the digital transformation. Nonetheless, limited studies and academic discussions were conducted on the… More > Graphic Abstract

Computer Forensics Framework for Efficient and Lawful Privacy-Preserved Investigation

    Waleed Halboob1,*, Jalal Almuhtadi1,2

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.45, No.2, pp. 2071-2092, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.024110

Abstract Privacy preservation (PP) in Digital forensics (DF) is a conflicted and non-trivial issue. Existing solutions use the searchable encryption concept and, as a result, are not efficient and support only a keyword search. Moreover, the collected forensic data cannot be analyzed using existing well-known digital tools. This research paper first investigates the lawful requirements for PP in DF based on the organization for economic co-operation and development OECB) privacy guidelines. To have an efficient investigation process and meet the increased volume of data, the presented framework is designed based on the selective imaging concept and advanced encryption standard (AES). The… More >

Detection of Copy-Move Forgery in Digital Images Using Singular Value Decomposition

    Zaid Nidhal Khudhair1,4, Farhan Mohamed2, Amjad Rehman3,*, Tanzila Saba3, Saeed Ali bahaj3

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.74, No.2, pp. 4135-4147, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.032315

Abstract This paper presents an improved approach for detecting copy-move forgery based on singular value decomposition (SVD). It is a block-based method where the image is scanned from left to right and top to down by a sliding window with a determined size. At each step, the SVD is determined. First, the diagonal matrix’s maximum value (norm) is selected (representing the scaling factor for SVD and a fixed value for each set of matrix elements even when rotating the matrix or scaled). Then, the similar norms are grouped, and each leading group is separated into many subgroups (elements of each subgroup… More >

An Edge-Fog-Cloud Computing-Based Digital Twin Model for Prognostics Health Management of Process Manufacturing Systems

    Jie Ren1,2, Chuqiao Xu3, Junliang Wang2,4, Jie Zhang2,*, Xinhua Mao4, Wei Shen4

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.135, No.1, pp. 599-618, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2022.022415

Abstract The prognostics health management (PHM) from the systematic view is critical to the healthy continuous operation of process manufacturing systems (PMS), with different kinds of dynamic interference events. This paper proposes a three leveled digital twin model for the systematic PHM of PMSs. The unit-leveled digital twin model of each basic device unit of PMSs is constructed based on edge computing, which can provide real-time monitoring and analysis of the device status. The station-leveled digital twin models in the PMSs are designed to optimize and control the process parameters, which are deployed for the manufacturing execution on the fog server.… More >

Fine Characterization and Analysis of Drying Strain of the ELM Board via DIC Technology

Yuanchu Liu, Xiaodong Zhu, Zhengmin Jin, Yingying Liu, Qingjian Wei, Bonan Liang, Yingchun Cai*, Jingyao Zhao*

    Journal of Renewable Materials, Vol.11, No.2, pp. 567-580, 2023, DOI:10.32604/jrm.2022.023037

Abstract In this paper, the occurrence and development mechanism of strain on the cross-section during the wood drying is explored. Therefore, strain regularity on the cross-section of 50 mm thickness elm (Ulmus rubra) board at the temperature of 40°C and 80°C is detected via digital image correlation technology. Hence, the difference between tangential and radial strain at surface and core layers was denoted. The results showed that strain distribution in the width direction of the board is uneven. Moreover, a large drying shrinkage strain occurs at the near-core layer, while the maximum strain difference reaches 4.08%. Hence, the surface of the… More > Graphic Abstract
